Detection of mechanical stress in the steel structure of a bridge crane

A significant negative aspect in the operation of bridge-type cranes are the technical problems associated with wear of the wheels and the crane track,which causes crane *** main causes of crane skewing include unevenness of the crane track,unequal loading of the traction drives depending on the position of the crane trolley,slips and different sizes of travel wheels and combinations of these ***,this paper presents a design solution that can be used to detect the magnitude of mechanical stress and deformation of the steel structure of the crane,caused by the effects of *** mechanical stress generated by the transverse forces of the deformed geometric shape of the crane bridge structure is recorded by mechanical stress detectors installed in the inner corners of the crane *** resulting electrical signal from element mechanical voltage detectors,loaded by axial forces,can be used for feedback control of separate crane travel drives controlled by frequency ***,this paper presents the calculation of the lateral transverse forces according to CSN 270103 and the determination of the values of mechanical stresses of the deformed steel structure of the crane bridge of a two-girder bridge crane using the finite element method in the program *** ***,this paper presents the structural and strength design of mechanical stress detectors and the conclusions of laboratory tests of axial force loading of mechanical stress detectors on the test *** the same time,it presents records of the measured axial forces acting in the mechanical stress detectors,arising from the deformation and warping of the crane bridge by the known magnitude of the axial force acting on the crossbeam and from the deformation of the crane bridge caused by the crane operating modes.

Cerebellar degeneration-related antigen 1(CDR1)was described to be expressed in the nervous system and in different types of cancer *** the present study,we demonstrate that CDR1 is in addition ubiquitously expressed in human epidermis,dermis and isolated skin *** CDR1 mRNA and protein were detected in human skin-derived mast cells,melanocytes,fibroblasts and keratinocytes,suggesting that CDR1 does not have a neuron-specific function.

Chromized Layers Produced on Steel Surface by Means of CVD

Chemical vapour deposition of chromium on the surface of carbon steel has been investigated using a novel CVD method that combines the low cost of pack cementation method with advantages of vacuum technique. The processes have been performed in chromium chlorides atmosphere at a low pressure range from 1 to 800 hPa, the treatment temperature 800 to 950°C. Studies of the layers thickness, the phase composition, Cr, C and Fe depth profiles in diffusion zone have been conducted. The effect of the vacuum level during the process and the process parameters such as time and temperature on layer diffusion growth on the carbon steel surface has been investigated.

Prunus africana is an endangered medicinal species and has been classified as a priority for domestication in ***,the seeds rapidly lose their viability during storage at room temperature after 2–3 *** study aimed to improve seed germination of *** by germinating at different temperatures(4℃,28℃)using different concentrations of growth stimulators(sodium nitrate and gibberellic acid)and different concentrations of *** seeds had 91.7%germination at 4C after 1 month of *** regulators considerably influenced germination after 6 months and reached 66.0%with 10 mM gibberellic acid and 100%with 10 mM sodium *** three shoots per seed were developed,an indication of *** analyses revealed the presence of protein-like bodies close to the embryo axis and accumulations of starch after 7 days of *** 14 days,amyloplasts and dark protein bodies of various sizes were *** outcome of this study will contribute to improve the germination of *** for better domestication and conservation.

Western Tethyan Epeiric Ramp Setting in the Early Triassic： An Example from the Central Dinarides (Croatia)

In the central part of the External Dinarides in Plavno, Croatia, near Knin, a remarkably thick （927.5 m） Early Triassic depositional sequence was investigated. The Plavno sequence starts in the EarlyGriesbachian and ends with a continuous transition into the Anisian strata. A complete 13C isotope curve has been achieved and combined with conodonts, bivalves and ammonoids to establish and correlate stage and substage boundaries. The 613C curve is consistent with former studies. It displays a general increase from the Griesbachian to a prominent maximum beyond the ＋8%0 amplitude around the Dienerian-Smithian boundary （DSB）, followed by a steep and continuous decline to low, negative values in the Smithian. Around the Smithian-Spathian boundary （SSB） a steep rise to a second maximum occurred. It is followed by a saw-tooth shaped decline in the Spathian and a similar increase to a peak at the Spathian-Anisian boundary （SAB）. Sedimentologically, the Plavno sequence is interpreted as having been deposited on an extensive epeiric ramp under long-term transgressive conditions, sharing depositional characteristics of both the epeiric platform and the carbonate ramp. The entire Plavno sequence was deposited above the storm-wave base and was storm influenced. Three informal members are differentiated： 1） the dolostone member （Early Griesbachian）; 2） the silicielastic member （red-coloured shale, siltstone, sandstone with oolitic/bioclastie grainstone intercalations）, which can be further divided into lower, middle and upper intervals （Late Griesbachian, Dienerian and Smithian）; and 3） the mudstone member （grey lime mudstones, marls and calcisiltites with common ammonoids and gastropods- Spathian）. The Plavno sequence is compared with other western Tethyan sections. Observed differences stem from local controls on deposition in the overall shallow marine environment.

Application of pre-emergence herbicides in poplar nursery production

In addition to pests and diseases, weeds are a major problem in poplar nursery production. The possibilities of herbicide application in juvenile poplar growth were researched, taking into account that weeds are one of the main limiting factors. The following pre-emergence herbicides were tested： acetochlor, S-metolachlor, metribuzin,oxifluorfen, and dimethenamid during two vegetation seasons at two locations, which differed by the soil physicochemical characteristics. The study results show that the number of weeds on sample plots was significantly reduced by the tested herbicides when compared to control plots. The highest reduction in the number of weeds was achieved using the herbicides acetochlor and metribuzin. However, metribuzin showed a phytotoxic effect on sandy soil. Metribuzin application is recommended only on the soils with higher contents of organic matter, where the phytotoxic effect was absent. Acetochlor, S-metolachlor, oxifluorfen, and dimethenamid were not phytotoxic to poplars and can be used for weed suppression in the production of poplar plants.

Ustekinumab: “Real-world” outcomes and potential predictors of nonresponse in treatment-refractory Crohn’s disease

BACKGROUND Ustekinumab was approved in Europe for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe Crohn's disease(CD)in 2016,and there is an urgent need for data on its everyday *** To obtain data on the daily use of *** This is a retrospective monocentric *** with moderate to severe CD who began ustekinumab therapy at the inflammatory bowel diseases outpatient clinic of the Heidelberg University Hospital between December 2016 and March 2018 were selected based on electronic patient *** primary study endpoint was combined steroid-free clinical remission or steroid-free clinical response at 24±6 wk of ustekinumab *** study endpoints were:achievement of mucosal healing,sonographic and magnetic resonance imaging response,biochemical response,the need for intestinal surgery within 24±6 wk after treatment initiation,the occurrence of adverse events,treatment discontinuation due to nonresponse or adverse events,improvement of extraintestinal manifestations,clinical response at 48±6 wk of therapy,and association of response with nucleotid oligodimerisation domain 2 *** Fifty-seven patients with CD(5.3%anti-tumour necrosis factorαnaive,63.2%having undergone at least one intestinal surgery)were included in the *** patients(35.1%)achieved steroid-free clinical remission,6(10.5%)steroid-free clinical response and 31(54.4%)were *** discontinuation due to adverse events occurred in two patients(3.5%).Male sex,the presence of extraintestinal manifestations and the use of steroids at baseline were predictors of nonresponse to ustekinumab *** In a“real-world”treatment-refractory cohort of patients with CD,ustekinumab appeared efficacious and safe.

The Mamfe Basin has been the subject of many studies,but some debates persist,especially concerning the stratigraphic nomenclature,corundum origin,and marine *** aims of this work are(1)to propose a new lithostratigraphic nomenclature of the Mamfe Basin formation based on new field observations,(2)to determine the source rock distribution and the origin of gem deposits and(3)to correlate the Cameroon section of the Mamfe Basin with the Nigerian *** main results show that the name Manyu River Group is more appropriate as the Manyu River crosses all the facies in the Mamfe sedimentary Basin belonging to the Manyu *** to the facies analysis,the age of deposition,the mineralogic and geochemical data such as the V ***2O3andΣREE ***_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2)MgO,Na_(2)O,P_(2)O_(5),and CaO diagrams,this Group is composed of at least five Formations,including four Cretaceous Formations,from bottom to top:the Etoko Formation(alluvial and fluvial channel to fluvio-lacustrine deposits),the Nfaitok Formation(lagoonal deposits),the Bachuo Ntai Formation(fluvial braided channels or fluvio-deltaic environment)and the Eyumojock/NsanaragatiFormation(fluvio-lacustrine deposits)and the new Cenozoic Formation named Bakebe Formation(fluvio-lacustrine deposits).The gem minerals such as corundum,rutile,or tourmaline in the Cretaceous deposits of the Mamfe Basin are mainly detrital as indicated by the presence of worn shapes and fragments of these *** presence of sapphire in the AlboCenomanian deposits indicates a Precambrian age of the felsic source rock,likely the plutonic rocks such as granite or pegmatite as indicated by the abundance of tourmaline and high LREE/HREE ratios(14.81–34.29)and slightly negative and positive Eu anomalies(0.85–1.15).This marine incursion in the Mamfe Basin was probably from West Nigeria,according to the geographic location of the Mamfe Basin and the general palaeogeographic evolution of the Benue Trough.

Prevalence and correlates of depressive symptoms in adult patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in the Southwest Region of Cameroon

Background:Tuberculosis(TB)remains a global health challenge and depression is a significant contributor to the global burden of *** evidence suggests that there is an association between depressive symptoms and TB,lower adherence to treatment,and increased morbidity and ***,there is paucity of data regarding these associations in *** study aimed to determine the prevalence and correlates of depression in adult patients with pulmonary TB(PTB)in the Southwest Region of ***:A hospital-based cross-sectional study involving 265 patients with PTB was conducted from 2nd January to 31st March 2015 in the Limbe Regional Hospital and the Kumba District *** was diagnosed using the standard nine-item Patient Health Questionnaire,and classified as none,mild or *** regressions were used to investigate correlates of depression in these ***:Of the 265 patients(mean age 36.9±10 years)studied,136(51.3%)were *** prevalence of depression was 61.1%(95%CI:55.1–66.8),with a significant proportion(36.6%)having mild *** logistic regression analysis showed that being female(aOR=3.0,95%CI(1.7–5.5),P0.05),being on retreatment for TB(aOR=11.2,95%CI:5.2–31.1,P<0.001),having discontinued treatment(aOR=8.2,95%CI:1.1–23.3,P<0.05)and having a HIV/TB co-infection(aOR=2.5,95%CI:1.2–6.5,P<0.001)were factors associated with having a higher chance of being ***:Our study suggests that there is a high prevalence of depression among PTB patients,with more than one in two patients *** care for TB patients involving mental health practitioners is highly encouraged,especially for high-risk groups.
