Oxidative hair dyes containingρ-phenyle.ediamine(PPD)are reported to induce an alle.gic reaction by promoting oxidative stress when absorbed through the *** the associated risk,these hair dyes remain popular owing to their convenience and sharpness of *** makes it important to minimize the cytotoxicity and oxidative stress induced by PPD-containing hair *** cava extract has been evaluated in different studies for its protective effects against external stress in fibroblasts and *** study was aimed at using in-vitro and in-vivo models to investigate the extract’s effects on cytotoxicity of and oxidative stress induced by PPD-containing hair *** of CIEL*a*b*Color space was first used to determine the range of *** extract that would not interfere with the coloring ability of the dye upon ***,the set ranges of *** extract(5% and 7%)were added to the hair dye and their toxicity assessed by evaluating the viability of fibroblasts and *** effects on developmental phenotypes and induction of oxidative stress by hair dye were evaluated and compared with those of hair dyes containing different contents of *** extract using an in-vivo zebrafish *** results showed that *** extract in hair dye could significantly decrease the cytotoxicity and le.els of oxidative stress caused by hair dyes containing PPD in both in-vitro and in-vivo *** results suggest that the addition of 7% *** extract to 250μg/mL hair dye does not interfere with the coloring ability of the dye while.showing significant protective eff ects against the hair *** study proposes that the use of *** extract as an adduct to hair dyes containing PPD reduces the cytotoxicity and oxidative stress induced by these hair dyes.

This paper investigates the effects of types and aging of asphalt binder on healing performance of asphalt mixture modified with steel wool fibers(SWF)using induction heating *** binders PG58-22,PG64-22 and PG76-22,widely used in Korea,were applied in this *** rolling thin film oven(RTFO)and pressure ageing vessel(PAV)tests were conducted to simulate the aging process of asphalt *** healing performance of mixtures was evaluated by the crack-heal process,which included semi-circular bending and induction heating *** cooking oil waste was used as a rejuvenator in order to refresh the aged binder and its healing performance was also *** results indicated that the performance grade(PG)of asphalt binder slightly affected the healing performance of mixtures due to the difference of binder *** addition,the healing le.el of asphalt mixture was reduced significantly by aged asphalt ***,it was found that using cooking oil waste as a rejuvenator for the aged asphalt mixture can improve its healing performance.

This paper reports green nanocomposites made by ble.ding polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)with cellulose nanofiber(CNF)isolated from recycle. deinked copy/printing paper(DIP).The reinforcement effect of DIPCNF in the nanocomposites is compared with other CNFs isolated from native cotton and hardwood by means of *** prepared PVA-CNF nanocomposites are characterized in terms of morphology,chemical interaction,structural,thermal and mechanical properties.X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirm the reinforcing ability of cellulose nanofibers into *** ble.ding CNFs into PVA matrix,the thermal stability of the nanocomposites is improved and DIPCNF shows similar enhancement effect with COCNF and *** prepared nanocomposites exhibit 50%Young’s modulus improvement by adding 6%of CNF and DIPCNF exhibits similar enhancement of the mechanical properties to COCNF and HWCNF in the *** indicates that the use of DIPCNF is beneficial for environment protection,resource retaining and save energy in comparison with COCNF and HWCNF.

Although the essential role.of messenger RNA methylation in the nucle.s is increasingly understood,the nature of ribosomal RNA(rRNA)methyltransferases and the role.of rRNA methylation in chloroplasts remain largely unknown.A recent study reveale. that CMAL(for Chloroplast mraW-Like)is a chloroplast-localized rRNA methyltransferase that is responsible.for N4-methylcytidine(m^(4)C)in 16S chloroplast rRNA in Arabidopsis *** this study,we further examined the role.of CMAL in chloroplast biogenesis and function,development,and hormone *** cmal mutant showed reduced chlorophyll biosynthesis,photosynthetic activity,and growth-defect phenotypes,including severely stunted stems,fewer siliques,and lower seed *** cmal mutant was hypersensitive to chloroplast translation inhibitors,such as lincomycin and erythromycin,indicating that the m^(4)C methylation defect in the 16S rRNA le.ds to a reduced translational activity in ***,the stunted stem of the cmal mutant was partially rescued by exogenous gibberellic acid or *** cmal mutant grew poorer than wild type,whereas the CMAL-overexpressing transgenic Arabidopsis plants grew better than wild type in the presence of abscisic ***,these results indicate that CMAL is an indispensable.rRNA methyltransferase in chloroplasts and is crucial for chloroplast biogenesis and function,photosynthesis,and hormone response during plant growth and development.

AIM: To investigate whether, or how, DA-9601, which is a new gastroprotective agent, inhibits TNF-α-induced inflammatory signals in gastric epithelial AGS cells. METHODS: Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. IL-8 and CCL20 promoter activities were determined by a luciferease reporter gene assay. NF-κB-dependent transcriptional activity was determined by I-κBαdegradation, NF-κB p65 nucle.r translocation and a luciferase activity assay. IL-8 and CCL20 gene expression and protein secretion were determined by RT-PCR and an enzymelinked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Total and phos-phorylated forms of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) were determined by Western blot. RESULTS: Treatment of AGS cells with DA-9601 reduced TNF-α-induced IL-8 and CCL20 promoter activities, as well as their gene expression and protein rele.se. TNF-αalso induced NF-κB-dependent transcriptional activity in AGS cells. In contrast, in cells treated with DA-9601, TNF-α-induced NF-κB activity was significantly blocked. Although all three MAP kinase family members were phosphorylated in response to TNF-α, a sele.tive inhibitor of p38 kinase SB203580 only could inhibit both NF-κB-dependent transcriptional activity and IL-8 and CCL20 production, suggesting a potential link between p38 kinase and NF-κB-dependent pathways in AGS cells. Interestingly, DA-9601 also sele.tively inhibited p38 kinase phosphorylation induced by TNF-α. CONCLUSION: DA-9601 blocked TNF-α-mediated inflammatory signals by potentially modulating the p38 kinase pathway and/or a signal le.ding to NF-κBdependent pathways in gastric epithelial cells.

Vedolizumab in Crohn’s disease with rectal fistulas and presacral abscess:A case report

The noise reduction of the ITE (In-The-Ear) hearing aid (HA) can be achieved by an array of microphones. Each of the right and the le.t ears is fixed with two ITE HA microphones. This two HA microphones’ array produces particular patterns of directivity which geometrically increases the S/N ratio. The boundary ele.ent method (BEM) was used for the three dimensional modeling and simulation of the human head model directivity pattern with the two by two microphone arrays. Three particular structures of the head model were considered;sphere, head Ⅰ, head Ⅱ. All three structures were meshed for boundary surface ele.ent grids. Head model Ⅰele.ent meshing was generated from three dimensional laser scanned points’ data. And Head model Ⅱele.ent meshing was formed by a CAD program. This numerical analysis was then applied for the calculation of the time delay parameters of the digital hearing aid DSP chip. The separation between two microphones was fixed to 10 mm. Input frequencies are 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000 Hz. Time delays between two microphones were changed to produce the most narrow directivity pattern in the fore front of the head. The variation of the time delay was examined in accordance with input frequencies.

Mobile.device research has been increasing rapidly in Human Computer Interaction （HCI） recently. Following this trend, this paper proposes a user-centered interface, which has been designed, comple.ely installe. and independently run on a mobile.phone. Video signal is steamed through its camera as the image input to the interface by employing techniques of image processing, computer vision and graphics to identify automatically absolute positions of human face, neck and two hands. A paradigm is also put up theoretically. And it embeds this interface to perceive the human postures and convert them into relaxed comic character according to its context.
