Negative impact of hepatitis B surface seroclearance on prognosis of hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer

AIM To assess the impact of hepatitis B surface(HBs Ag) seroclearance on survival outcomes in hepatitis B-related primary liver *** Information from patients with hepatitis B-related liver cancer admitted in our hospital from 2008-2017 was retrieved. Cases diagnosed with HBs Ag(-) and HBc Ab(+) liver cancer were included in the HBs Ag seroclearance(SC) group. HBs Ag(+) liver cancer patients strictly matched for liver cancer stage(AJCC staging system, 8 th edition), Child-Pugh score, and first diagnosis/treatment method(surgery, ablation and TACE) were assigned to the HBsA g non-seroclearance(NSC) group. Then, clinical, pathological and survival data in both groups were *** The SC and NSC groups comprised of 72 and 216 patients, respectively. Patient age(P let count(P = 0.001) in the SC group were significantly higher than those of the NSC group. SC group patients who underwent surgery had more intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC) and combined HCC-CC(CHC) cases than the NSC group, but no significant differences in tumor cell differentiation and history of liver cirrhosis were found between the two groups. The numbers of interventional treatments were similar in both groups(4.57 vs 5.07, P > 0.05). Overall survival was lower in the SC group than the NSC group(P = 0.019), with 1-,3-, and 5-year survival rates of 82.1% vs 85.1%, 43.2%vs 56.8%, and 27.0% vs 45.2%, respectively. Survival of patients with AJCC stage Ⅰ disease in the SC group was lower than that of the NSC group(P = 0.029).CONCLUSION Seroclearance in patients with hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer has protective effects with respect to tumorigenesis, cirrhosis, and portal hypertension but confers worse prognosis, which may be due to the frequent occurrence of highly malignant ICC and CHC.

Performance enhancement of perovskite solar cells with Cs2PtI6-xBrx absorber layer based on numerical simulation

Cs2TiBr6， characterized as a lead-free vacancy-ordered double perovskite material， demonstrates notable stability and photoelectric performance， rendering it suitable for application in perovskite solar cells. However， the experimental efficiency of this material is currently limited， achieving only 3.12%. This efficiency limitation primarily stems from the material’s wide bandgap， which results in insufficient light absorption. To address this issue， this study utilized Cs2PtI6-xBrxfor band structure fine-tuning. By adjusting the bandgap of Cs2PtI6-xBrxthrough Br-doping， not only was the alignment of the energy bandgap in the absorption layer effectively adjusted， but the cutoff range of light absorption was also significantly expanded. Setting the Cs2PtI6-xBrxbandgap to 1.4 eV resulted in optimal device performance. Additionally， comparative analyses aimed at boosting solar cell efficiency were performed on both hole transport and electron transport layer materials. Subsequently， the structure of the perovskite solar cell was optimized using an FTO/TiO2/Cs2TiBr6/Cs2PtI6-xBrx/Cu2O/Au configuration. Furthermore， the influence of the absorber layer thickness and defect density on device performance was studied. Ultimately， this configuration enabled the Cs2TiBr6/Cs2PtI6-xBrxsolar cell to achieve a peak conversion efficiency of 29.69%.

The construction of metal-organic coordination clusters（MCCs） using modular secondary building units is an important method for preparing functional *** this study,two new MCCs modularly assembled from Keggin-type {SiW12O40}H4TC4A=p-tert-Butylthiacalix[4]arene(SiW12) units and thiacalixarene-supported Co4-thiacalix[4]arene(Co4-TC4A polynuclear second-building units（PSBUs,H4TC4A=p-tert-Butylthiacalix[4]arene） are *** two MCCs,abbreviated as Co4-SiW12and Co8-SiW12,were structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray *** Co4-SiW12is a supramolecular structure involving cation-anion interactions between Co4-TC4A PSBUs and ***8-SiW12features "barbell-like" shapes with two Co4-TC4A coordinatively linked to a Keggin-type SiW12unit on opposite via W-O_t-Co *** coordination of Co4-TC4A to SiW12in Co8-SiW12resulted in significantly improved photothermal conversion performances compared with Co4-SiW12and pure SiW12or ***-gap determination and photophysical analysis combined with density functional theory calculations indicated the binding mode between Co4-TC4A PSBUs and SiW12,which considerably influences the way of electron transport and the conversion ability of visible light to heat.

The feasibility of manufacturing Ti-6Al-4V samples through a combination of laser-aided additive manufacturing with powder(LAAM_(p))and wire(LAAM_(w))was explored.A process study was first conducted to successfully circumvent defects in Ti-6Al-4V deposits for LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w),*** the optimized process parameters,robust interfaces were achieved between powder/wire deposits and the forged substrate,as well as between powder and wire *** characterization results revealed the epitaxial prior β grains in the deposited Ti-6Al-4V,wherein the powder deposit was dominated by a finerα′microstructure and the wire deposit was characterized by lamellar α *** mechanisms of microstructure formation and correlation with mechanical behavior were analyzed and *** mechanical properties of the interfacial samples can meet the requirements of the relevant Aerospace Material Specifications(AMS 6932)even without post heat *** fracture occurred within the interfacial area,further suggesting the robust *** findings of this study highlighted the feasibility of combining LAAM_(p) and LAAM_(w) in the direct manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V parts in accordance with the required dimensional resolution and deposition rate,together with sound strength and ductility balance in the as-built condition.

Effect of bi/Si Ratio of biBSi Glass on Its Structure, Properties and Laser Sealing Shear Strength for Vacuum Glazing

The low-melting glass of bi2O_(3)-B2O_(3)-SiO_(2)(biBSi)system was used for the first time for laser sealing of vacuum *** the condition of constant boron content,how the structure and properties vary with bi/Si ratio in low-melting glass was *** addition,the relationships between laser power,low-melting glass solder with different bi/Si ratios and laser sealing shear strength were *** results show that a decrease in the bi/Si ratio can cause a contraction of the glass network of the low-melting glass,leading to an increase of its characteristic temperature and a decrease of its coefficient of thermal *** laser sealing,the copper ions in the low-melting glass play an endothermic role.A change in the bi/Si ratio will affect the valence state transition of the copper ions in the low-melting *** absorbance of the low-melting glass does not follow the expected correlation with the bi/Si ratio,but shows a linear correlation with the content of divalent copper *** greater the concentration of divalent copper ions,the greater the absorbance of the low-melting glass,and the lower the laser power required for laser *** shear strength of the low melting glass solder after laser sealing was tested,and it was found that the maximum shear strength of Z1 glass sample was the highest up to 2.67 MPa.

A TCP Performance Enhancement Scheme in Infrastructure based Vehicular Networks

Transmission Control Protocol （TCP） in infrastructure based vehicular net- works is dedicated to support reliable Intemet services for mobile users. However, an end-to- end TCP flow not only experiences some com- mon challenges in wireless mobile networks, such as high packet loss rate, medium access competition, unstable wireless bandwidth, and dynamic topology, etc., but also suffers from performance degradation due to traffic congestion at the Road-Side Units （RSUs） that connect the wireline and wireless networks. In order to address the challenging issues related to reliable TCP transmissions in infrastruc- ture based vehicular networks, we propose an RSU based TCP （R-TCP） scheme. For wireline source nodes, R-TCP adopts a novel flow control mechanism to adjust transmission rates according to the status of bottleneck link. Specifically, during the short wireless connec- tion time in Infrastructure based vehicular net- works, R-TCP quickly chooses an ideal trans- mission rate for data transmissions instead of activating the slow start algorithm after the connection is established, and successfully avoids the oscillation of the transmission rate. Simulation results show that R-TCP achieves great advantages than some relate proposals in terms of throughput, end-to-end delay, and packet loss rate.

Efficient photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to formate by a molecular noble metal-free system

Reducing CO2to carbon-neutral solar fuels can not only alleviate the energy demand but also mitigate the greenhouse *** present,developing an efficient non-noble metal photo/electrocatalytic system for converting CO2to a specific product beyond CO is still a big ***,we report a new cobalt complex bearing 2,2′-bi-1,10-phenanthroline ligand that can photocatalytically reduce CO2to formate （HCOO-）.Turnover number （TON） for HCOO-up to 677 with 99%selectivity can be achieved using organic dyes purpurin as photosensitizer and 1,3-dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole （biH） as sacrificial reductant in a CO2-saturated NMP/TEA （v/v,3:1） solution under visible light *** potential electrolysis at-1.41 V （***/Ag Cl） in the presence of 12 m M Et3NHBF4also produced HCOO-with Faradaic efficiency of 39%.Spectroscopic and electrochemical studies suggest that a[CoI-H]species is the key intermediate for CO2reduction.

A fast streptomycin sulfate sensing based on Nb2CTX functionalized titled fiber Bragg grating

We proposed a fast and temperature self-compensation method to detect streptomycin sulfate aqueous solution concentration based on a 2D Nb2CTXMXene nanosheets functionalized tilted Bragg grating（N-TFBG）. The introduction of 2D Nb2CTXMXene nanosheets brought more than 100% increase in sensitivity and exhibited a high sensitivity of 253.8 pm/mg/mL and detection limit 80 μg/mL in range of 0.2-0.8 mg/mL. Due to high sensitivity and compact structure， N-TFBG sensor has a faster measure time than previous method; additionally， the sensor has simultaneous temperature measurement by detecting the cladding mode and the core mode resonance peak simultaneously. Our research will hopefully open a new research platform for online detection of streptomycin sulfate concentration.
