Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Plectranthus Amboinicus leaf Extract for Preparation of CMC/PVA Nanocomposite Film

In the present study,the biogenic silver nanoparticles have been synthesized using aqueous leaf extract of Plectranthus amboinicus(PA),which acted as both reducing and stabilizing *** PA synthesized silver nanoparticles were blended with carboxymethyl cellulose/polyvinyl alcohol(CMC/PVA)*** prepared AgNPs as well as the biogenic AgNPs incorporated CMC/PVA films were investigated using UV-visible spectrophotometry,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),dynamic light scattering(DLS),scanning electron microscope(SEM),and X–ray diffraction(XRD).The DLS results showed that biogenic AgNPs had the average particle size of 65.70 nm with polydispersity index of *** surface plasmon resonance of AgNPs,which was determined by UV-vis spectrophotometry,showed the value of 410.00 *** results therefore confirmed the reduction Ag+into Ag°and the formation of AgNPs in the *** SEM imaging showed that AgNPs was quasi-spherical and *** XRD peaks at 33.07°,44.19°,64.58°and 77.47°confirmed the crystalline nature and presence of *** CMC/PVA films that incorporated with AgNPs displayed best mechanical strength and morphological properties than the pure CMC/PVA *** film of CMC/PVA-AgNPs exhibited significant antibacterial activities against Bacillus spizizenii,Staphylococcus aureus,Salmonella typhi and Escherichia Coli.

In this study,three-dimensional porous magnesium ferrite/titanium dioxide/reduced graphene oxide(Mg Fe_2O_(4)-GM/TiO_(2)/rGO(MGTG))was successfully synthesized via green and hydrothermal-supported co-precipitation methods using the extract of Garcinia mangostana(***)as a reducing *** characterization results indicate the successful formation of the nano/micro Mg Fe_(2)O_(4)(MFO)and TiO_(2) on the structure of the reduced graphene oxide(rGO),which can also act as efficient support,alleviating the agglomeration of the nano/micro MFO and TiO_(2).The synergic effects of the adsorption and photodegradation activity of the material were investigated according to the removal of crystal violet(CV)under ultraviolet *** effects of catalyst dosage,CV concentration,and p H on the CV removal efficiency of the MGTG were also *** to the results,the CV photodegradation of the MGTG-200 corresponded to the pseudo-first-order kinetic *** reusability of the material after 10 cycles also showed a removal efficiency of 92%.This happened because the materials can easily be recollected using external *** addition,according to the effects of different free radicals·O_(2)^(-),h^(+),and·OH on the photodegradation process,the photocatalysis mechanism of the MGTG was also thoroughly *** antibacterial efficiency of the MGTG was also evaluated according to the inhibition of the Gram-positive bacteria strain Staphylococcus aureus(***).Concurrently,the antibacterial mechanism of the fabricated material was also *** results confirm that the prepared material can be potentially employed in a wide range of applications,including wastewater treatment and antibacterial activity.

Building human organs in a dish has been a long term goal of researchers in pursue of physiologically relevantmodels of human disease and for replacement of worn out and diseased organs. The liver has been an organ ofinterest for its central role in regulating body homeostasis as well as drug metabolism. An accurate liver replicashould contain the multiple cell types found in the organ and these cells should be spatially organized to resembletissue structures. More importantly, the in vitro model should recapitulate cellular and tissue level *** in cell culture techniques and bioengineering approaches have greatly accelerated the development ofadvance 3-dimensional (3D) cellular models commonly referred to as liver organoids. These 3D models describedrange from single to multiple cell type containing cultures with diverse applications from establishing patientspecificliver cells to modeling of chronic liver diseases and regenerative therapy. Each organoid platform isadvantageous for specific applications and presents its own limitations. This review aims to provide acomprehensive summary of major liver organoid platforms and technologies developed for diverse applications.

This paper presents a new approach using correlation and cross-correlation coefficients to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams under moving *** theoretical study of identifying defects by vibration methods showed that the traditional methods derived from the vibration measurement data have not met the needs of the actual *** show that the correlation coefficients allow us to evaluate the degree and the effectiveness of the defects on *** the same time,the cross-correlation model is the basis for determining the relative position of *** results of this study are experimentally conducted to confirm the relationship between the correlation coefficients and the existence of the *** particular,the manuscript shows that the sensitivity of the correlation coefficients and cross-correlation is much higher than the parameters such as changes in stiffness(EJ)and natural frequency values(Δf).This study suggests using the above parameters to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams by vibration measurement data in practice.

The Tan Rai Bauxite Project, which exploits a large bauxite mine in lam Dong province, Vietnam has been in operation since 2012. In addition to the economic efficiency of the project, bauxite mining and processing uses a large area arable land and affect the regional environment. Remote sensing technology is increasingly widely used in many purposes in monitoring the changes of environment and resources, including land use change with high accuracy, giving managers more information to monitor the exploitation and use process of land resource. This study used a Change Vector Analysis (CVA) method of analysis on various remote sensing data sources to monitor the process of land exploitation and restoration of the Tan Rai Bauxite project. High-resolution remote sensing images were used as diverse as SPOT-5, VNREDSat-1, Google Earth from 2013 to 2019 to demonstrate the ability of the MCVA method to combine many other types of remote sensing images together. The results of fluctuation analysis were validated by 200 random points in the study area, and the accuracy of result is more than 90%. The results of land use change statistics were also compared with the annual data of Tan Rai Bauxite Factory. From this study, it can be concluded that the MCVA analysis method can quickly detect land use change areas and can combine many different image sources with a high accuracy. In addition, it also provides statistics of mining areas and restored areas, thereby assisting managers in monitoring the operation of the mine.

Investigation of Polymorphisms in Coding Region of OsHKT1in Relation to Salinity in Rice

Rice （Oryza sativa） is sensitive to salinity, but the salt tolerance level differs among cultivars,which might result from natural variations in the genes that are responsible for salt tolerance. High-affinitypotassium transporter （HKTs） has been proven to be involved in salt tolerance in plants. Therefore, wescreened for natural nucleotide polymorphism in the coding sequence of OsHKT1, which encodes the HKTprotein in eight Vietnamese rice cultivars differing in salt tolerance level. In total, seven nucleotidesubstitutions in coding sequence of OsHKT1 were found, including two non-synonymous and five synonymoussubstitutions. Further analysis revealed that these two non-synonymous nucleotide substitutions （G50Tand T1209A） caused changes in amino acids （Gly17Val and Asp403Glu） at signal peptide and the loop ofthe sixth transmembrane domain, respectively. To assess the potential effect of these substitutions on theprotein function, the 3D structure of HKT protein variants was modelled by using PHYRE2 webserver. Theresults showed that no difference was observed when compared those predicted 3D structure of HKTprotein variants with each other. In addition, the codon bias of synonymous substitutions cannot clearlyshow correlation with salt tolerance level. It might be interesting to further investigate the functional roles ofdetected non-synonymous substitutions as it might correlate to salt tolerance in rice.

Pesticide Risk Reduction of Vegetable Farmers: A Case Study in Vietnam

A survey was carried out on farmers cultivating vegetables in Gia lam district, Hanoi city, Vietnam to investigate their practice in reducing pesticide risks in their farming. Pesticides were an important input in the production there, but the risks of pesticides in recent years had been insignificant. Research results showed that the majority of farmers had relatively well implemented various solutions to reduce pesticides risks in their production, including actively using alternative pest management (IPM) solutions, using biological pesticides, using pesticides properly according to the 4-right pesticide use principle, using labour protection while spraying, and applying treatment measures after spraying. The study suggested solutions to reduce and avoid pesticide risks.
