The metal-organic framework(MOF)derived Ni–Co–C–N composite alloys(NiCCZ)were“embedded”inside the carbon cloth(CC)strands as opposed to the popular idea of growing them upward to realize ultrastable energy storage and conversion *** NiCCZ was then oxygen functionalized,facilitating the next step of stoichiometric sulfur anion diffusion during hydrothermal sulfurization,generating a flower-like metal hydroxysulfide structure(NiCCZOS)with strong partial implantation inside *** obtained NiCCZOS shows an excellent capacity when tested as a supercapacitor electrode in a three-electrode ***,when paired with the biomass-derived nitrogen-rich activated carbon,the asymmetric supercapacitor device shows almost 100%capacity retention even after 45,000 charge–discharge cycles with remarkable energy density(59.4 Wh kg^(-1)/263.8μWh cm^(–2))owing to a uniquely designed ***,the same electrode performed as an excellent bifunctional water-splitting electrocatalyst with an overpotential of 271 mV for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and 168.4 mV for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)at 10 mA cm−2 current density along with 30 h of unhinged chronopotentiometric stability performance for both HER and ***,a unique metal chalcogenide composite electrode/substrate configuration has been proposed as a highly stable electrode material for flexible energy storage and conversion applications.

On a new fractional-order Logistic model with feedback control

In this paper,we formulate and analyze a new fractional-order Logistic model with feedback control,which is different from a recognized mathematical model proposed in our very recent *** stability of the proposed model and its numerical solutions are studied *** using the Lyapunov direct method for fractional dynamical systems and a suitable Lyapunov function,we show that a unique positive equilibrium point of the new model is asymptotically *** an important consequence of this,we obtain a new mathematical model in which the feedback control variables only change the position of the unique positive equilibrium point of the original model but retain its asymptotic ***,we construct unconditionally positive nonstandard finite difference(NSFD)schemes for the proposed model using the Mickens’*** is worth noting that the constructed NSFD schemes not only preserve the positivity but also provide reliable numerical solutions that correctly reflect the dynamics of the new fractional-order ***,we report some numerical examples to support and illustrate the theoretical *** results indicate that there is a good agreement between the theoretical results and numerical ones.

A THREE-PARAMETER FAULT-DETECTION SOFTWARE RELIABILITY MODEL WITH THE UNCERTAINTY OF OPERATING ENVIRONMENTS

As requirements for system quality have increased, the need for high system reliability is also increasing. Soflnvare systems are extremely important, in terms of enhanced reliability and stability, for providing high quality services to customers. However, because of the complexity of software systems, soft-ware development can be time-consuming and expensive. Many statistical models have been developed in the past years to estimate soflnvare reliability. In this paper, we propose a new three-parameter fault-detection software reliability model with the uncertainty of operating environments. The explicit mean value function solution for the proposed model is presented. Examples are presented to illustrate the goodness-of-fit of the proposed model and several existing non-homogeneous Poisson process （NHPP） models based on three sets of failure data collected from software applications. The results show that the proposed model fits significantly better than other existing NHPP models based on three criteria such as mean squared error （MSE）, predictive ratio risk （PRR）, and predictive power （PP）.

Evidence of a Light-Sensing Role for Folate in Arabidopsis Cryptochrome Blue-Light Receptors

Arabidopsis cryptochromes cry1 and cry2 are blue-light signalling molecules with significant structural similarity to photolyases-a class of blue-light-sensing DNA repair enzymes. Like photolyases, purified plant cryptochromes have been shown to bind both flavin and pterin chromophores. The flavin functions as a light sensor and undergoes reduction in response to blue light that initiates the signalling cascade. However, the role of the pterin in plant cryptochromes has until now been unknown. Here, we show that the action spectrum for light-dependent degradation of cry2 has a significant peak of activity at 380 nm, consistent with absorption by a pterin cofactor. We further show that cry1 protein expressed in living insect ceils responds with greater sensitivity to 380 nm light than to 450 nm, consistent with a light-harvesting antenna pigment that transfers excitation energy to the oxidized flavin of cry1. The pterin biosynthesis inhibitor DHAP selectively reduces cryptochrome responsivity at 380 nm but not 450 nm blue light in these cell cultures, indicating that the antenna pigment is a folate cofactor similar to that of photolyases.

Using time-series data analysis for stock-price forecasting(SPF)is complex and challenging because many factors can influence stock prices(e.g.,inflation,seasonality,economic policy,societal behaviors).Such factors can be analyzed over time for *** learning and deep learning have been shown to obtain better forecasts of stock prices than traditional *** study,therefore,proposed a method to enhance the performance of an SPF system based on advanced machine learning and deep learning ***,we applied extreme gradient boosting as a feature-selection technique to extract important features from high-dimensional time-series data and remove redundant ***,we fed selected features into a deep long short-term memory(LSTM)network to forecast stock *** deep LSTM network was used to reflect the temporal nature of the input time series and fully exploit future con-textual *** complex structure enables this network to capture more stochasticity within the stock *** method does not change when applied to stock data or Forex *** results based on a Forex dataset covering 2008–2018 showed that our approach outperformed the baseline autoregressive integrated moving average approach with regard to mean absolute error,mean squared error,and root-mean-square error.

Urea-assisted natural seawater electrolysis is an emerging technology that is effective for grid-scale carbon-neutral hydrogen mass production yet *** scaling relations is an effective strategy to break through the bottleneck of natural seawater ***,by DFT calculation,we demonstrated that the interface boundaries between Ni_(2)P and MoO_(2) play an essential role in the selfrelaxation of the Ni-O interfacial bond,effectively modulating a coordination number of intermediates to control independently their adsorption-free energy,thus circumventing the adsorption-energy scaling *** this conceptual model,a well-defined 3D F-doped Ni_(2)P-MoO_(2) heterostructure microrod array was rationally designed via an interfacial engineering strategy toward urea-assisted natural seawater *** a result,the F-Ni_(2)P-MoO_(2) exhibits eminently active and durable bifunctional catalysts for both HER and OER in acid,alkaline,and alkaline sea water-based *** in-situ analysis,we found that a thin amorphous layer of NiOOH,which is evolved from the Ni_(2)P during anodic reaction,is real catalytic active sites for the OER and UOR ***,such electrode-assembled urea-assisted natural seawater electrolyzer requires low voltages of 1.29 and 1.75 V to drive 10 and600 mA cm^(-2)and demonstrates superior durability by operating continuously for 100 h at 100 mA cm^(-2),beyond commercial Pt/C||RuO_(2) and most previous reports.

Surface PEGylation of hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles via aminated intermediate

A hybrid of organic/inorganic system, hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles functionalized with poly(ethylene glycol), was synthesized in the presence of coupling agent and aminated ends. Doxorubicin(DOX) was used as a model drug to evaluate the effect of PEGylation on the loading capacity and release pattern of the *** with transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), nitrogen adsorption-desorption, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier transformed infrared(FTIR) confirmed the PEG conjugation, as well as the amorphous mesoporous nature of the synthesized particles. Due to the capping effect of PEG molecules over the pores in the silica structure, the synthesized system was able to retain higher amount of cargo and establish a controlled manner when releasing.

We focus on the problem of evaluating the velocity field outside a solid object moving in an incompressible Stokes flow using the boundary integral *** points near the boundary,the integral is nearly singular,and accurate computation of the velocity is not *** way to overcome this problem is to regularize the integral *** method of regularized Stokeslet(MRS)is a systematic way to regularize the kernel in this *** a specific blob function which is widely used,the error of the MRS is only of first order with respect to the blob *** prove that this is the case for radial blob functions with decay propertyφ(r)=O(r−3−α)when r→∞for some constantα>*** then find a class of blob functions for which the leading local error term can be removed to get second and third order errors with respect to blob *** the addition of these terms might give a flow field that is not divergence free,we introduce a modification of these terms to make the divergence of the corrected flow field close to zero while keeping the desired ***,these dominant terms are explicitly expressed in terms of blob function and so the computation time is negligible.

Investigating the customer trust in artificial intelligence: The role of anthropomorphism, empathy response, and interaction

Artificial intelligence(AI)applications are observed in different industries including the services,where the impressive changing pace is boosted by the technological advances in *** use of AI in the daily work of individuals and in shaping the relationship between firms and customers has resulted in increased efficiency and a higher degree of fascination in *** are,however,customers'fears related to the use of ***,understanding how AI affects customer trust is worth *** study focuses on the AI applications and their impact on communication quality and customer *** features of AI applications investigated in this study include anthropomorphism,empathy response and interaction.A model was first empirically validated through Confirmatory Factor Analysis and tested using Covariance-Based Structural Equation *** were then collected from a survey of 507 customers of two banks and two big telecommunication firms in *** results indicate that anthropomorphism and interaction do not play critical roles in generating customer trust in AI unless they create communication quality with *** ability of empathy response makes customers trust in various service *** application seems to be a good solution for service firms to enhance their relationship with customers in difficult circumstances,including a pandemic *** study delivers implications for enhancing AI adoption in the service firms that intend to innovate their future operations.
