Due to the non-linearity in ozone(O_(3))formation,reducing the emission of nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))may increase O_(3) *** the counteractive O_(3) response to NO_(x) reduction,overall impact of air pollution controls can be ambiguous when the assessments focus on the changes in pollutant *** this study,a risk-based method was used to gauge the net effect of air pollution controls on mortality risk in the Beijing–tianjin–Hebei(BtH)region during the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics(WOP).this mega-event presents a unique opportunity to investigate the efficacy of deep cuts in pollutant *** show that O_(3) concentrations greatly increased as nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))concentrations decreased in the *** to the active photochemical formations,O_(3) became the dominant pollutant that affected human health during the *** the substantial O_(3) increases,the health benefits of NO_(2) reductions overwhelmed the adverse health effects of O_(3) increases in most regions of the BtH(at 81 out of 112 stations).After considering the impacts of particulate matter,the integrated health risk of air pollution mixtures declined almost everywhere in the *** results underscore the great necessity of changing the assessment paradigm of pollution control from using concentration-based methods to using risk-based *** with the carbon neutrality policy,stringent control of NO_(x)emission from combustion sources is a promising way to achieve synergistic control solutions for air pollution and climate change.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a prevalent and aggressive liver *** interplay between bile acids(BAs)and the gut microbiota has emerged as a critical factor in HCC development and *** normal conditions,BA metabolism is tightly regulated through a bidirectional interplay between gut microorganisms and *** gut microbiota plays a critical role in BA metabolism,and BAs are endogenous signaling molecules that help maintain liver and intestinal *** note,dysbiotic changes in the gut microbiota during pathogenesis and cancer development can disrupt BA homeostasis,thereby leading to liver inflammation and fibrosis,and ultimately contributing to HCC ***,understanding the intricate interplay between BAs and the gut microbiota is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms underlying *** this review,we comprehensively explore the roles and functions of BA metabolism,with a focus on the interactions between BAs and gut microorganisms in ***,therapeutic strategies targeting BA metabolism and the gut microbiota are discussed,including the use of BA agonists/antagonists,probiotic/prebiotic and dietary interventions,fecal microbiota transplantation,and engineered *** summary,understanding the complex BA-microbiota crosstalk can provide valuable insights into HCC development and facilitate the development of innovative therapeutic approaches for liver malignancy.

the purpose of this study was to compare the umbilical arterial 8- iso- prostaglandin F2α ,.concentrations between pregnancies that were complicated by moderate or thick meconium- stained liquor and those with clear liquor. Umbilical cord arterial blood samples were collected from 247 singleton pregnancies with either moderate or thick meconium- stained liquor at any stage of labor or clear liquor at all stages of labor for the determination of the total 8- iso- prostaglandins F2α concentration. the median total 8- iso- prostaglandins F2α concentration of the meco- niumstained liquor group was significantly higher than that of the control group (719.2 vs 115.8 pg/mL). Among the meconiumstained liquor group, those who had a change from "clear liquor" at early labor to "moderate/ thick meconium- stained liquor" at late first stage or at delivery (late meconium- stained liquor group) had higher 8- iso- prostaglandins F2α concentration, compared with those who had moderate/ thick meconiumstained liquor since early labor (early meconium- stained liquor group; 959.8 vs 499.9 pg/mL). With the use of multiple regression analysis, meconium- stained liquor, duration of second stage of labor, and abnormal fetal heart tracings were independent determinants of cord blood 8- iso- prostaglandins F2α concentration. Moderate or thick meconium- stained liquor is an independent factor for increased oxidative stress in pregnancy.

Congenital Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) encompasses a wide spectrum of disease involvement and severity. Congenital “self-healing”cutaneous LCH represents one end of the spectrum, whereas the case we encountered represents the other extreme. A rare case of congenital LCH with severe multiorgan involvement presenting as hydrops fetalis is described in this report. Hydrops fetalis has not previously been associated with congenital LCH. the overall clinical features of this infant closely mimicked those of disseminated congenital infection, and he ran a fulminant and rapidly fatal course. Conclusion: A high index of suspicion is required to diagnose congenital LCH in the early neonatal period. Hydrops fetalis is an ominous sign and probably reflects severe systemic disease compromising the well-being of the fetus.

the Effect of the thermal cycling training under constant strain on the two-way shape memory effect (tWSME) in a ti36l\li49Hf15 high temperature shape memory alloy (SMA) has been investigated by bending tests. the results indicated that the training procedure is beneficial to get the better tWSME. the two-way shape memory strain increases with increasing the training strain. And it decreases with increasing the training temperature. the tWSME obtained in the present alloy shows poorer stability compared with that obtained in the tiNi alloys.

Cu2O-templated fabrication of Ni(OH)2·0.75H2O hollow tubes for electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction

Cu2O is an ideal template material for the preparation of transition metal hydroxide/oxyhydroxides with oxygen evolution reaction(OER) enhanced catalytic performance. Here, inspired by Pearson’s principle, Cu2O wires were prepared and used as a sacrificial template to prepare Ni(OH)2·0.75H2O hollow tubes(Ni(OH)2Hts) with highly improved surface roughness. Benefiting from unique structural advantages, the Ni(OH)2Hts showed excellent catalytic activity, rapid kinetics and a long-term stability as the OER catalyst, where an overpotential of only 207mV was required to drive a current density of 10 mA cm-2, an ideal kinetics with a tafel slope as 79.8 mV dec-1was calculated, and no obvious attenuation in chronoamperometry was discovered after operation for 24 h. this paper provides a novel template-assisted strategy to prepare high-performance transition metal-based OER catalysts possessing hollow and tubular structures.
