Introduction: globally there is an increase of Type 1 diabetes among children. Poorly controlled Type1 diabetes is associated with the complication. Knowledge is a crucial factor in maintaining patient glycaemic control and adherence to treatment. Purpose: to explore knowledge and understanding of Type 1 diabetes and its management among children in Saudi Arabia. Methods: 32 semi structured interviews conducted with children and their parents. It was audio recorded and transcribed. The qualitative data was thematically analysed. NVivo 11 software was used to organise transcript. Results: Children and young people know the aggravating factors and the theoretical aspects of T1DM management but fail to adhere to the treatment regimen practically. Children and adolescents preferred school food;however, parents complained about the quality of school food. Conclusion: The study findings indicate a requirement to employ innovative and engaging ways of communicating with children and adolescents concerning the promotion of a positive lifestyle and healthy practices. There is a need for cooperation between schools and health ministries to increase awareness about T1DM management and complications.

In this paper Genetic Algorithm has been integrated with Fouquet modal analysis to optimize radiation pattern of coupled periodic antenna. Floquet analysis is used with MoM-GEC (Moment-Generalized Equivalent Circuit) method to study a finite periodic array with uniform amplitude and linear phase distribution. This method is very advantageous for studying large antenna array since it considerably reduces the computation time and the number of operations. In this way, Genetic algorithm is introduced and combined with Floquet analysis to optimize the radiation pattern distribution of this coupled periodic antenna. The goal of the optimization is to provide a better radiation characteristic for the coupled periodic antenna with maximum side lobe level reduction.

Physicochemical characterization of 82 Algerian honeys, collected between 2005 and 2010, from different botanical and geographical origins were analyzed. The studied parameters were： water content, pH, free acidity （FA）, electrical conductivity （EC）, ash content, hydroxymethylfurfuraldehyde （HMF）, proline content, specific rotatory power and color. Most of the measured parameters had showed values in the range of the international standards, with a particular richness in proline and ash content. Chemometrics-based approach reveals that the discriminated groups were Citrus, Ziziphus and forest even with over represented groups like Eucalyptus. Principle component analysis （PCA） enabled to extract three principal components explaining nearly 65% of total variance, PCj and PC2 were related to botanical origin whereas PC3 to honey age. Analysis of variance showed that the studied variables were almost different depending on botanical, geographical origin and season. The current study also shows the presence of diverse honey varieties in Algeria. The collected data will contribute to the creation of products with protected geographical or/and botanical origins.

Single crystals of the 4,4’-diamoniumdiphenylmethan sulfate hydrate, denoted DDPS, were grown by slow evaporation solution technique at room temperature. The compound was characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR and thermal analysis (TG-DTA). It crystallizes in the monoclinic system (space group C2/c) with the following unit cell dimensions: a = 17.7635(10) ?, b = 9.3796(10) ?, c = 27.5676(10) ?, β = 97.37(2)°, V = 4555.2(6) ?. The structure was solved by the direct method and refined to final R value of 0.0472 for 2108 independent reflections. The anions are hydrogen bonded to each other, forming clusters [HS2O8]3﹣ parallel to the plan (a, b). The water molecules connect these clusters via O-H···O hydrogen bonds. The organic cations are attached to the clusters through N-H···O hydrogen bonds, forming an infinite three-dimensional network.

This paper presented a new Floquet analysis used to calculate the radiation for 1-D and 2-D coupled periodic antenna systems. In this way, an accurate evaluation of mutual coupling can be proven by using a new mutual interaction expression that was based on Fourier analysis. Then, this work indicated how Floquet analysis can be used to study a finite array with uniform amplitude and linear phase distribution in both x and y directions. To modelize the proposed structures, two formulations were given in a spectral and spatial domain, where the Moment (MoM) method combined with a generalized equivalent circuit (GEC) method was applied. Radiation pattern of coupled periodic antenna was shown by varying many parameters, such as frequencies, distance and Floquet states. The 3-D radiation beam of the coupled antenna array was analyzed and compared in several steering angles θs and coupling values dx. The simulation of this structure demonstrated that directivity decreased at higher coupling values. The secondary lobs in the antenna radiation pattern affected the main lobe gain by energy dispersal and considerable increasing of side lobe level (SLL) may be achieved. Therefore, the sweeping of the radiation beam in several steering directions affected the electromagnetic performance of the antenna system: the directivity at the steering angle θs = π⁄3 was more damaged and had 19.99 dB while the second at θs = 0 had about 35.11 dB. This parametric study of coupled structure used to concept smart periodic antenna with sweeping radiation beam.

Physicochemical properties of a new hybrid compound (C7H9N2O)3HSO4SO4 are synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by various physicochemical studies. This compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c and a unit cell with a = 10.3028(2)A°, b = 12.4995(2)A°, c = 20.6730(2)A°, V = 2600.61(7)A°3, and Z = 8. The structure has been solved using direct method and refined to a reliability R factor of 4.6%. The atomic arrangement of this compound is built up by (HS2O8)3- anionic pairs interconnected with two types (C7H9N2O)22+ cationic pairs via (N, O)-H...O hydrogen bonds. The characterization of these salts was carried out using X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and thermal analysis.

Chemical preparation, X-ray single-crystal, thermal behavior, and IR spectroscopy investigations are given for a new organic cation dihydrogenomonophosphate (C7H9N2O)H2PO4 (denoted ABHP) in the solid state. This compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n. The unit cell dimensions are: a = 11.011(5) Å, b = 5.861(1) Å, c = 15.944(4) Å and β = 100.81(5) with V = 1010.7(6) Å3 and Z = 4. The structure has been solved using direct method and refined to a reliability R factor of 0.048. The atomic arrangement can be described as inorganic clusters [H4P2O8]2- anions between which are located the organic dimmers (C14H18N4O2)2+ through multiple hydrogen bonds (Figure 1)

Evolution of COVID-19 in Relation to Public Health Countermeasures in Morocco

The new coronavirus, officially responsible for COVID-19, has spread rapidly internationally despite multiple countermeasures to limit its transmission. Morocco recorded his first case of COVID-19 on March 02, 2020. The main data on the pandemic and its evolution come from the Moroccan Ministry of Health. This paper aims to describe the evolution of the pandemic in Morocco and to highlight the different measures taken to stem its progression between March 02 to April 07, 2020. The measures were taken very early since the declaration of the first case in Morocco on March 2, 2020. After 5 weeks of the epidemic, the number of confirmed cases in Morocco reached 1184 including 90 deaths and 93 recoveries. The evolution of the curve seems to be slowed down compared to neighboring countries like Spain. The wearing of a mandatory mask was implemented on April 7 by the Ministry of Health as an additional measure to flatten the curve and allow the health system to effectively cope with the pandemic. The impact of this measure could be assessed by analyzing the evolution of the curve in the coming weeks. Sharing these results can serve as an example to other countries, especially for low-income countries, in their fight against the COVID-19.

野生动物管理对于平衡人类和野生动物之间的需求是至关重要的,它是确保生物多样性相关利益的保护、可持续利用、获取和管理的主要组成部分。中国和苏丹在野生动物,尤其是大型动物的保护方面都面临着栖息地丧失、物种多样性降低、人与保护动物矛盾突出的严重问题。本文比较了中国和苏丹两国濒危野生动物管理和保护相关法律法规的异同,并以分布于中国秦岭山区的草食动物秦岭羚牛(Budorcas taxicolor bedfordi)和一种栖息在中东和北非山区、悬崖、干旱地区的濒危物种努比亚羱羊(Capra ibex nubiana)为例,研究了中国秦岭人与羚牛的冲突及羚牛偷猎情况;分别收集了秦岭光头山2015年和2016年6-8月、太白山2013年10月至2014年3月、周至自然保护区2014年10月至2015年3月的数据资料,分析秦岭山区光头山羚牛的活动变化规律以及太白山冬季栖息地羚牛和大熊猫的活动及其相互影响。在苏丹进行了结构化问卷调查,调查问卷充分考虑到受访者的各种社会经济特征(年龄、性别和受教育程度)和对努比亚羱羊的了解情况(数量、日期、性别和地点),并对努比亚羱羊的相关生物多样性项目及其威胁因素等进行了记录。研究结果表明:人与羚牛冲突事件在2000年(9)的发生率最高,多发生于夏季(36),六月占比(35.71%)最高,一天中早上4:00-6:00和6:00-8:00这两个时间段冲突频率(30.32%)最高。在秦岭收集的23个头骨样本表明雄性羚牛(18个)比雌性羚牛(5个)死亡率高。此外,红外相机在太白山监测到18个物种而在周至自然保护区监测到22个物种;其中羚牛是冬季最丰富的物种,在太白山和周至自然保护区冬季期间分别占到了62.38%和52.27%,而其他物种丰度较低。相互作用分析表明,在两个研究区内羚牛和熊猫之间不存在种间竞争,这两个物种虽活动于相同的海拔,但运动时间不同,两者冬季都主要取食竹子,在缺乏竹笋的时候更倾向于取食竹叶,冬季时竹竿的淀粉含量(data)和可溶性糖含量(data)在一年中达到最高值,故熊猫此时也取食竹竿,羚牛也会取食竹竿和竹叶。此外,在苏丹的许多地方都可观察到努比亚羱羊;我们得到的样本数有38个,其中雄性14只,雌性18只,幼崽6只。狩猎和栖息地的丧失是努比亚羱羊面临的最严重的威胁,这使其种群数量大大降低。获得狩猎许可证,提高公众意识,圈养和年度调查等是保护努比亚羱羊的最重要手段。通过了解中国和苏丹野生动物管理和保护的法律法规,秦岭羚牛的运动模式及其与人类的矛盾冲突,苏丹努比亚羱羊的受威胁因素等,可以为解决中国秦岭山区和苏丹野生动物可持续发展及管理面临的挑战提供理论依据,并为这些物种的长期可持续发展和保护战略奠定基础。
