Purpose. The.purpose.of this study was to e.aluate.the.change.in corne.l wave.ront abe.rations in young adults who have.be.n fit with multifocal soft contact le.se. for myopia progre.sion control. Findings have.be.n analyze. for statistical significance.and clinical re.e.ance.and compare. to re.orte.ly succe.sful Orthoke.atology outcome.. Me.hods: The.dominant e.e.of 40 participants (27 wome., 13 me.;me.n age.27.3 ± 3.2 ye.rs;range.23 to 39 ye.rs) was fit with Procle.r Multifocal ce.te. distance.le.se. (Coope.vision, Ple.santon, USA) having a varie.y of distance.powe.s and re.ding additions. Re.ractive.e.rors we.e.limite. to a range.of –6.00 D up to +1.00 D of sphe.e. and no gre.te. than –1.00 D of cylinde.. Corne.l wave.ront me.sure.e.ts we.e.pe.forme. ove. 6 mm diame.e.s with a Ze.ss Atlas 9000 corne.l topographe. (Ze.ss Me.ite., Dublin, USA) prior to, and following le.s fitting. Data we.e.conve.te. into re.tangular Fourie. optics te.ms M, J0, J45 and RMS value. for e.ch re.ding addition we.e.statistically analyze.. Following e.aluation of statistical significance.and clinical re.e.ance. re.ults we.e.compare. to publishe. data from succe.sful Orthoke.atology tre.tme.ts. Re.ults: Statistically significant change. in highe. orde. abe.rations we.e.de.e.te. for le.se. of all re.ding additions. Le.s groups with highe. Add-powe.s de.onstrate. stronge. change. with incre.se. significance. Final RMS value. re.ating to 2nd, 3rd and 4th Ze.nike.Orde.s re.che. clinical significance.with a wave.ront e.ror of 0.10 μm, the.e.uivale.t of 0.25D. We.e.plore. associations be.we.n impulsivity and se.f-care.in an obse.vational study of 35 US adults age.18 - 50 who had traumatic SCI with paraple.ia at le.st six months be.ore.asse.sme.t. The.primary outcome.me.sure.was se.f-re.orte. se.f-care. In LASSO re.re.sion mode.s that include. all ne.robe.avioral me.sure. and de.ographics as pre.ictors of se.f-care. dispositional me.sure. of gre.te. impulsivity (ne.ative.urge.cy, lack of pre.e.itation, lack of pe.se.e.ance., and re.uce. mindfulne.s we.e.associate. with re.uce. se.f-care. Outcome.(magnitude. se.sitivity, a late.t de.ision-making parame.e. de.ive. from computationally mode.ing succe.sive.choice. in a gambling task, was also associate. with se.f-care.be.avior. The.e.re.ults are.pre.iminary;more.re.e.rch is ne.de. to de.onstrate.the.utility of the.e.findings in clinical se.tings.
