High-efficiency stretchable organic light-emitting diodes based on ultra-flexible printed embedded metal composite electrodes

Stretchable organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs)are important components for flexible/wearable ***,the efficiency of the existing stretchable OLEDs is still much lower as compared with their rigid counterparts,one of the main reasons being the lack of ideal flexible transparent ***,we propose and develop a printed embedded metal composite electrode(PEMCE)strategy that enables the fabrication of ultra-thin,highly flexible transparent electrodes with robust mechanical *** the flexible transparent electrodes serves as the anodes,flexible/stretchable white OLEDs have been successfully constructed,achieving a current efficiency of up to 77.4 cd A^(-1)and a maximum luminance of 34787 cd m^(-2).The current efficiency of the resulting stretchable OLEDs is the highest ever reported for flexible/stretchable white OLEDs,which is about 1.2 times higher than that of the reference rigid devices based on ITO/glass *** excellent optoelectronic properties of the printed embedded transparent electrodes and the light extraction effect of the Ag-mesh account for the significant increase in current ***,the electroluminescence performance still retains~83%of the original luminance even after bending the device 2000 cycles at a radii of~0.5 *** importantly,the device can withstand tensile strains of up to~100%,and even mechanical deformation of 90%tensile strain does not result in a significant loss of electroluminescence performance with current efficiency and luminance maintained at over 85%.The results confirm that the PEMCE strategy is effective for constructing ultra-flexible transparent electrodes,showing great promise for use in a variety of flexible/stretchable electronics.

Several studies have found that transplantation of neural progenitor cells(NPCs)promotes the survival of injured ***,a poor integration rate and high risk of tumorigenicity after cell transplantation limits their clinical *** extracellular vesicles(sEVs)contain bioactive molecules for neuronal protection and *** studies have shown that stem/progenitor cell-derived sEVs can promote neuronal survival and recovery of neurological function in neurodegenerative eye diseases and other eye *** this study,we intravitreally transplanted sEVs derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells(hiPSCs)and hiPSCs-differentiated NPCs(hiPSC-NPC)in a mouse model of optic nerve *** results show that these intravitreally injected sEVs were ingested by retinal cells,especially those localized in the ganglion cell *** with hiPSC-NPC-derived sEVs mitigated optic nerve crush-induced retinal ganglion cell degeneration,and regulated the retinal microenvironment by inhibiting excessive activation of *** analysis further revealed that hiPSC-NPC derived sEVs transported neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory miRNA cargos to target cells,which had protective effects on RGCs after optic nerve *** findings suggest that sEVs derived from hiPSC-NPC are a promising cell-free therapeutic strategy for optic neuropathy.

Lowering the synthesis temperature of boron nitride nanotubes(BNNTs)is crucial for their *** primary reason for adopting a high temperature is to enable the effective activation of highmelting-point solid *** this study,we developed a novel approach for efficiently activating boron by introducing alkali metal compounds into the conventional MgO–B *** approach can be adopted to form various low-melting-point AM–Mg–B–O growth *** growth systems have improved catalytic capability and reactivity even under low-temperature conditions,facilitating the synthesis of BNNTs at temperatures as low as 850℃.In addition,molecular dynamics simulations based on density functional theory theoretically demonstrate that the systems maintain a liquid state at low temperatures and interact with N atoms to form BN *** findings offer novel insights into the design of boron activation and are expected to facilitate research on the low-temperature synthesis of BNNTs.

A systematic framework to understand central bank digital currency

The ongoing research and development of digital fiat currency(DFC) have triggered attention of policy makers, regulators and the industrial and academic communities. But there is not yet a clear idea and blueprint of what DFC looks like. This paper establishes a systematic framework to analyze the essence and connotation of DFC from four dimensions: currency value, technical aspects, means of implementation and application scenarios. It is argued that DFC is a credit-based currency in terms of value, a crypto-currency from a technical perspective, an algorithm-based currency in terms of implementation and a smart currency in application scenarios. Compared with existing private digital currencies and electronic currencies, DFC will be equipped with brand new and higher qualities. The goal of Chinese DFC is to contribute to more stable value, more secure data, more powerful regulation, stronger empowerment of individuals in payment activities and smarter application. Chinese DFC should have qualities that enable it to provide better service for the public, to offer effective tools for macroeconomic control and to lay a solid foundation for Reg Tech development.

Memory-based adaptive event-triggered secure control of Markovian jumping neural networks suffering from deception attacks

In this article,we study the secure control of the Markovian jumping neural networks(MJNNs)subject to deception *** the limitation of the network bandwidth and the impact of the deception attacks,we propose two memory-based adaptive event-trigger mechanisms(AETMs).Different from the available event-trigger mechanisms,these two memory-based AETMs contain the historical triggered data not only in the triggering conditions,but also in the adaptive *** can adjust the data transmission rate adaptively so as to alleviate the impact of deception attacks on the controlled system and to suppress the peak of the system *** view of the proposed memory-based AETMs,a time-dependent Lyapunov functional is constructed to analyze the stability of the error *** sufficient conditions to ensure the asymptotical synchronization of master-slave MJNNs are obtained,and two easy-to-implement co-design algorithms for the feedback gain matrix and the trigger matrix are ***,a numerical example is given to verify the feasibility and superiority of the two memory-based AETMs.

Background:Tuberculosis(TB)patients in China still face a number of barriers in seeking diagnosis and *** is evidence that the economic burden on TB patients and their households discourages treatment ***:A cross-sectional study was conducted in three cities of *** were selected using probability proportional to size(PPS)cluster sampling of rural townships or urban streets,followed by list sampling from a patient *** were collected using a questionnaire survey,key informant interviews and focus group discussions with TB patients to gain an understanding of the economic burden of TB and implications of this burden for treatment ***:A total of 797 TB patients were surveyed,of which 60 were interviewed in-depth following the *** than half had catastrophic health *** patients with higher household incomes were less likely to report non-compliance(OR 0.355,95%CI 0.140–0.830)and patients who felt that the economic burden relating to TB treatment was high more likely to report non-compliance(OR 3.650,95%CI 1.278–12.346).Those who had high costs for transportation,lodging and food were also more likely to report non-compliance(OR 4.150,95%CI 1.804–21.999).The findings from the qualitative studies supported those from the ***:The economic burden associated with seeking diagnosis and treatment remains a barrier for TB patients in *** the cost of treatment and giving patients subsidies for transportation,lodging and food is likely to improve treatment *** doctors’salary system to cut off the revenue-oriented incentive,and expanding current insurance’s coverage can be helpful to reduce patients’actual burden or anticipated *** research on this issue is needed.

Fossil fuels are undoubtedly important, and drilling technology plays an important role in realizing fossil fuel exploration;therefore, the prediction and evaluation of drilling efficiency is a key research goal in the industry. Limited by the unknown geological environment and complex operating procedures, the prediction and evaluation of drilling efficiency were very difficult before the introduction of machine learning algorithms. This review statistically analyses rate of penetration(ROP) prediction models established based on machine learning algorithms;establishes an overall framework including data collection, data preprocessing, model establishment, and accuracy evaluation;and compares the effectiveness of different algorithms in each link of the process. This review also compares the prediction accuracy of different machine learning models and traditional models commonly used in this field and demonstrates that machine learning models are the most effective technical means in current ROP prediction modeling.

Rational design and synthesis of advanced metal-organic frameworks for electrocatalytic water splitting

As a promising and significant technology for hydrogen production,electrocatalytic water splitting is a research hotspot in the energy conversion field for alleviating the global energy crisis and achieving carbon neutrality ***-organic frameworks(MOFs)have been widely investigated as catalyst candidates with remarkable activity and long-term electrocatalysis durability owing to their precise and tailorable structures:tunable pore channels in the range of micropore/mesopore promote the mass/electron transfer;high specific surface areas expose abundant active species;modified metal nodes can serve as active sites;versatile organic ligands can be functionalized to further enhance the electrocatalytic *** this review,recent advances in the rational design and synthesis of advanced MOF electrocatalysts for water splitting are presented in the following ***,we analyze the design concepts of MOF electrocatalysts from the perspective of their distinct and modifiable ***,three common synthesis techniques of MOF electrocatalysts are briefly ***,we focus on the classification of different MOFs for robust electrocatalytic water splitting,including pristine MOFs,mixed-metallic MOFs,MOF nanosheets,electrically conductive MOFs,MOFs on substrates,and polyoxometalate-based ***,summary and outlook are proposed to uncover the next generation of advanced MOFs for electrochemical energy conversion applications.

Mediating role of health literacy in the relationship between social isolation and psychological distress among pre-frail older adults

BACKGROUND Frailty has become a significant public health *** recent increase in the number of frail older adults has led to increased attention being paid to psycho-logical care services in *** social isolation of pre-frail older adults can impact their psychological *** To explore the mediating effect of health literacy between social isolation and psychological distress among communitydwelling older adults with *** This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with 254 pre-frail older individuals aged 60 years and *** isolation,health literacy,and psycholo-gical distress were comprehensively measured using the Lubben Social Network Scale-6,12-item Short-Form Health Literacy Questionnaire,and the Kessler Psy-chological Distress *** were evaluated using the SPSS 27.0 package program and the PROCESS macro *** statistical analyses,correlation analyses,and bootstrap mediation tests were used to assess associations between the *** The results showed that social isolation had an effect on health literacy among pre-frail older adults(β=0.240,P<0.001),social isolation impact on psycho-logical distress pre-frail older adults(β=-0.415,P<0.001);health literacy was identified effect on psychological distress among pre-frail older persons(β=-0.307,P<0.001).Health literacy partially mediated the relationship between social isolation and psychological distress among community-dwelling older adults with pre-frailty,with a mediation effect of-0.074,accounting for 17.83%of the total effect.
