Network rewiring,adaptive resistance and combating strategies in breast cancer

Resistance to targeted anti-cancer drugs is a complex phenomenon and a major challenge in cancer *** is becoming increasingly evident that a form of acquired drug resistance known as“adaptive resistance”is a common cause of treatment failure and patient relapse in many *** classical resistance mechanisms that are acquired via genomic alterations,adaptive resistance is instead driven by non-genomic changes involving rapid and dynamic rewiring of signalling and/or transcriptional networks following therapy,enabled by complex pathway crosstalk and feedback *** network rewiring allows tumour cells to adapt to the drug treatment,circumvent the initial drug challenge and continue to survive in the presence of the *** its great clinical importance,adaptive resistance remains largely under-studied and poorly *** review is focused on recent findings which provide new insights into the mechanisms underlying adaptive resistance in breast cancer,highlighting how breast tumour cells rewire intracellular signalling pathways to overcome the stress of initial targeted *** particular,we investigate adaptive resistance to targeted inhibition of two major oncogenic signalling axes frequently dysregulated in breast cancer,the PI3k-AkT-mTOR and RAS-MAPk signalling pathways;and discuss potential combination treatment strategies that overcome such *** addition,we highlight application of quantitative and computational modelling as a novel integrative and powerful approach to gain network-level understanding of network rewiring,and rationally identify and prioritise effective drug combinations.

Tuning the interfacial reaction environment via pH-dependent and induced ions to understand C–N bonds coupling performance in NO3- integrated CO2 reduction to carbon and nitrogen compounds over dual Cu-based N-doped carbon catalyst

Dual atomic catalysts （DAC）,particularly copper （Cu2）-based nitrogen （N） doped graphene,show great potential to effectively convert CO2and nitrate （NO3-） into important industrial chemicals such as ethylene,glycol,acetamide,and urea through an efficient catalytical process that involves C–C and C–N ***,the origin of the coupling activity remained unclear,which substantially hinders the rational design of Cu-based catalysts for the N-integrated CO2reduction reaction （CO2RR）.To address this challenge,this work performed advanced density functional theory calculations incorporating explicit solvation based on a Cu2-based N-doped carbon (Cu2N6C10) catalyst for *** calculations are aimed to gain insight into the reaction mechanisms for the synthesis of ethylene,acetamide,and urea via coupling in the interfacial reaction *** to the sluggishness of CO2,the formation of a solvation electric layer by anions （F-,Cl-,Br-,and I-） and cations (Na+,Mg2+,k+,and Ca2+) leads to electron transfer towards the Cu *** process significantly accelerates the reduction of *** results reveal that*CO intermediates play a pivotal role in N-integrated ***,the Cu2-based N-doped carbon catalyst examined in this study has demonstrated the most potential for C–N coupling to *** findings reveal that through the process of a condensation reaction between*CO and NH2OH for urea synthesis,*NO3-is reduced to*NH3,and*CO2to*CCO at dual Cu atom *** dual-site reduction facilitates the synthesis of acetamide through a nucleophilic reaction between NH3and the ketene ***,we found that the I-and Mg2+ions,influenced by pH,were highly effective for acetamide and ammonia synthesis,except when F-and Ca2+were ***,the mechanisms of C–N bond formation were investigated via ab-initio molecular dynamics simulations,and we found that adjusting the micro-environment can change the dominant side reaction,shift

Fuzzy MCDM Model for Selection of Infectious Waste Management Contractors

Healthcare supply chains are under pressure to drive down costs because of digital business,shifting customer needs and new *** waste generated from medical facilities includes medical activities and daily-life activities of patients and their family *** to statistics of the Department of Health EnvironmentalManagement,Vietnam currently has more than 13,500 medical facilities,including hospitals from central to provincial and district levels and private hospitals and medical *** medicine generates about 590 tons of medical waste/day and is estimated to be about 800 tons/*** waste includes ordinary medical waste and hazardous medical waste;in which ordinary medical waste accounts for about 80%–90%,only about 10%–20%is hazardous medical waste including infectious waste and non-infectious hazardous *** is an environmental and occupational health issue that needs attention in developing countries like *** large amounts of medical waste to ensure environmental and personal hygiene,doing so inefficiently creates potential hazards to the environment and increases operating ***,hospitals lack objective criteria and methods to evaluate and select the most optimal infectious medical waste,relying instead on their own subjective assessment and prior ***,the author proposed a fuzzy multicriteria decision making(MCDM)model including Fuzzy Analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)and the Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment(WASPAS)for infectious medical waste contractors’selection in this *** proposed Fuzzy MCDM method is in-tended to provide a more efficient,accurate method in the selection of infectious medical waste contractors than subjective assessment methods,thus reduce potential risks to *** results of this study can be applied to evaluate and select contractors in other industries.

Glucose measurement via Raman spectroscopy of graphene:Principles and operation

The sensitivity of graphene’s Raman characteristics to external perturbations can be exploited for sensing *** apply this principle,Raman spectroscopy of graphene in contact with a chemical/biological analyte is recorded to unravel a correlation between analyte’s physical/chemical/biological properties and electronic properties(Fermi energy and dopants level)of *** an example,we demonstrate the principle and operation of glucose measurement using graphene’s Raman spectroscopy,utilizing both affinity and enzymatic detection *** the affinity detection,we monitor Raman spectrum of graphene in contact with a glucose containing sample to quantify the attachment of glucose onto 1-pyrene boronic acid(PBA)functionalized *** is revealed that glucose covalent bond to PBA induces n-type doping in graphene and increases its Fermi level following the Hill–langmuir *** the enzymatic detection,we show that graphene’s Fermi energy shifts due to the biocatalytic oxidation of glucose by immobilized glucose oxidase(GOx)*** a result,graphene becomes p-doped with increasing glucose *** attribute this sensitivity to a re-distribution of ionic charges within the electric double layer(EDL)of graphene upon introducing the glucose *** model explains both our affinity and enzymatic glucose detection *** glucose detection,our graphene Raman spectroscopy-based sensor(GRS)may extend its applications to a broader range of remote and non-invasive detection without the need to employ electronics such as field-effect transistors.

The 21st century is associated with the IndustrialRevolution 4.0 and the organic agriculture trend,making the utilization of high-quality fertilizers,abundant nutritional content,economical,and no affect to environment *** to the new concept,clean agricultural production and organic agricultural products are not allowed to excessively use synthetic chemicals such as chemical fertilizers,and plant protection drugs,but priority is to use manure,organic fertilizers,and natural mineral *** must meet the balanced nutritional requirements of crops,maintain,and improve the fertility of the ground,protect the surrounding ecosystem,and leave harmful effects in agricultural products,products with high quality,safe for users and high economic efficiency for *** achieve the above goal,the selection of a fertilizer supplier is an important decision,supporting the supply chain’s sustainable development,fertilizer supplier selection is a multicriteria decision making model,the decision maker must assess all qualitative and quantitative *** this paper,the author proposed an integer decision making model including Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(FAHP)and Complex Proportional Assessment of Alternatives(COPRAS)for fertilizer supplier *** weightings of the criteria are calculated by using FAHP,COPRAS is then applied for ranking some potential fertilizer *** efficiency of the proposed models is proved by a case study conducted in a farm located in the south of *** research is the first fertilizer supplier evaluation and se-lection model in Vietnam by interviewing experts and reviewing the ***-search result is to provide a case study on evaluating supplier in agricultural supply chain utilizing the model proposed by the combination of FAHP and COPRAS models.

Time-stamped data is fast and constantly growing and it contains significant information thanks to the quick development ofmanagement platforms and systems based on the Internet and cutting-edge information communication *** the time series data including time series prediction has many practical *** new techniques were developed for use with various types of time series data in the prediction *** those,this work suggests a unique strategy to enhance predicting quality on time-series datasets that the timecycle matters by fusing deep learning methods with fuzzy *** order to increase forecasting accuracy on such type of time-series data,this study proposes integrating deep learning approaches with fuzzy ***,it combines the long short-termmemory network with the complex fuzzy set theory to create an innovative complex fuzzy long short-term memory model(CFLSTM).The proposed model adds a meaningful representation of the time cycle element thanks to a complex fuzzy set to advance the deep learning long short-term memory(LSTM)technique to have greater power for processing time series *** on standard common data sets and real-world data sets published in the UCI Machine Learning Repository demonstrated the proposedmodel’s utility compared to other well-known forecasting *** results of the comparisons supported the applicability of our proposed strategy for forecasting time series data.

The human visual sensitivity to the flickering light has been under investigation for *** finding of research in this area can contribute to the understanding of human visual system mechanism and visual disorders,and establishing diagnosis and treatment of *** aim of this study is to investigate the ffects of the flickering light to the visual cortex by monitoring the hemodynamic responses of the brain with the functional near infrared spectrosoopy(ENIRS)*** the acquired fNIRS signals are afected by physiological factors and measurement artifacts,constrained independent component analysis(eICA)was applied to extract the actual fNIRS responses from the obtained *** experimental results revealed significant changes(pkering stimulation was *** the uses of cICA,the contrast to noise ratio(CNR),reflecting the contrast of hemodynamic concentration between rest and task,became *** indicated the improvement of the NIRS signals when the noise was *** subsequent studies,statistical analysis was used to infer the correlation between the NIRS signals and the visual *** found that there was a slight decrease of the oxygenated hemoglobin con-centration(about 5.69%)over four frequencies when the modulation ***,the variations of oxy and deoxy-hemoglobin were not statistically significant.

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Plectranthus Amboinicus Leaf Extract for Preparation of CMC/PVA Nanocomposite Film

In the present study,the biogenic silver nanoparticles have been synthesized using aqueous leaf extract of Plectranthus amboinicus(PA),which acted as both reducing and stabilizing *** PA synthesized silver nanoparticles were blended with carboxymethyl cellulose/polyvinyl alcohol(CMC/PVA)*** prepared AgNPs as well as the biogenic AgNPs incorporated CMC/PVA films were investigated using UV-visible spectrophotometry,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),dynamic light scattering(DLS),scanning electron microscope(SEM),and X–ray diffraction(XRD).The DLS results showed that biogenic AgNPs had the average particle size of 65.70 nm with polydispersity index of *** surface plasmon resonance of AgNPs,which was determined by UV-vis spectrophotometry,showed the value of 410.00 *** results therefore confirmed the reduction Ag+into Ag°and the formation of AgNPs in the *** SEM imaging showed that AgNPs was quasi-spherical and *** XRD peaks at 33.07°,44.19°,64.58°and 77.47°confirmed the crystalline nature and presence of *** CMC/PVA films that incorporated with AgNPs displayed best mechanical strength and morphological properties than the pure CMC/PVA *** film of CMC/PVA-AgNPs exhibited significant antibacterial activities against Bacillus spizizenii,Staphylococcus aureus,Salmonella typhi and Escherichia Coli.
