Sampled-data control through model-free reinforcement learning with effective experience replay

Reinforcement Learning(RL)based control algorithms can learn the control strategies for nonlinear and uncertain environment during interacting with *** by the rewards generated by environment,a RL agent can learn the control strategy directly in a model-free way instead of investigating the dynamic model of the *** the paper,we propose the sampled-data RL control strategy to reduce the computational *** the sampled-data control strategy,the whole control system is of a hybrid structure,in which the plant is of continuous structure while the controller(RL agent)adopts a discrete *** that the continuous states of the plant will be the input of the agent,the state–action value function is approximated by the fully connected feed-forward neural networks(FCFFNN).Instead of learning the controller at every step during the interaction with the environment,the learning and acting stages are decoupled to learn the control strategy more effectively through experience *** the acting stage,the most effective experience obtained during the interaction with the environment will be stored and during the learning stage,the stored experience will be replayed to customized times,which helps enhance the experience replay *** effectiveness of proposed approach will be verified by simulation examples.

Characterizations of Sobolev spaces in Euclidean spaces and Heisenberg groups

Recently, many new features of Sobolev spaces w k,p ？RN ？ were studied in [4-6, 32]. This paper is devoted to giving a brief review of some known characterizations of Sobolev spaces in Euclidean spaces and describing our recent study of new characterizations of Sobolev spaces on both Heisenberg groups and Euclidean spaces obtained in [12] and [13] and outlining their proofs. Our results extend those characterizations of first order Sobolev spaces in [32] to the Heisenberg group setting. Moreover, our theorems also provide diff erent characterizations for the second order Sobolev spaces in Euclidean spaces from those in [4, 5].

In this paper, the design, customization and implem en tation of an integrated Advanced planning and Scheduling (ApS) system for a Semi conductor Backend Assembly environment is described. The company is one of the w orldwide market leaders in semiconductor packaging technology. The project was d riven by the company’s quest to achieve a competitive edge as a manufacturing po werhouse by providing the shortest possible cycle time with a high degree of fle xibility through the application of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) tech nology. Gintic was responsible for the planning & Scheduling functions through o ur ApS tool kit, which is called Gintic Scheduling System (GSS). Our ApS system is to be integrated with the other two key software systems, namely, the Enterpr ise Resource planning (ERp) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES), with the C IM framework. The project was divided into four major execution phases. phase One activities w ere focused on the gathering and analysis of the end users requirements in order to establish the ’As-Is’ situation and the wish list & the expectation of the ’To-Be’ system. planning and Scheduling prototypes were built using GSS to iden tify the functionality gap between the existing GSS system and the ’To-Be’ mode l, in order to determine the customization effort needed. The project team perfo rmed detailed system analysis, design and development of the ’To-Be’ system dur ing phase Two of the project. There are a total of four planning and scheduling modules, including Capacity planning (Cp), Daily Lot Release (DLR), Daily produc tion Scheduling (DpS) and Dynamic Operation Scheduling (DOS). The detailed desig n specifications of each of the features and functionality were confirmed and ac cepted by the end users before the commencement of the development effort. Complexity scalable control algorithm for intra coding in H.264 under energy constraints

In this paper, the complexity of intra coding is first analyzed so as to achieve a weight of complexity measurement for each intra mode. Then, a new complexity scalable control algorithm for intra coding in H. 264 is proposed, based on the rearrangement of the order of candidate modes and an efficient complexity allocation and control （CAAC） scheme at the macroblock （MB） level. The candidate modes of each MB are rearranged according to the local-edge information. Experimental results show that our proposed algorithm can make an appropriate cut-off point of the candidate modes sequence adaptively according to the current energy condition of a mobile device, so as to adjust the complexity at any level while maximizing the video quality, which can prolong the operational lifetime of the battery with minimum degradation in video quality.

Chinese Guqin Music and Calligraphy for Treating Symptoms of primary Insomnia

purpose:To investigate the intervention effiects of using traditional Chinese Guqin music and Chinese Calligraphy handwriting(CCH)for patients with primary ***:A total of ninety patients were assigned to control group,Guqin group,and calligraphy group for 8 *** 5 days a week,patients’heart rate variability(HRV)and frontal midline(FZ)electroencephalographic signals were recorded in a clinic during interventional period while either listening to Guqin music or writing *** in the control group remained in rest ***:For the Guqin group,the higher low-frequency-range HRV of coherence was found with marginal significance(p=0.055),and heart rate was significantly reduced(pweek in listening to Guqin music compared to the prerest *** listening to Guqin music or calligraphy intervention,FZδ,FZθ,and FZα waves in the 8^th week compared to the 0^th week(pre Intervention)showed a significantly enhanced effect(.pween the three groups,for heart rate and FZδ and FZθ waves,calligraphy group showed significantly increased heart rate than the Guqin group(pp(p=0.004);increased FZδ wave than die Guqin group(pp(pwave than the Guqin group(p=0.024)and the control group(p=0.008)***:positive intervention effects on 11RV coherence of Guqin music;FZδ,FZθ,and FZα waves of Guqin music and calligraphy proved that Guqin music together with calligraphy training helping to promote physical and mental health,thereby it contributes to the clinical application of TCM psychology for patients with insomnia syndrome.

Catalytically active interfaces in titania nanorod-supported copper catalysts for CO oxidation

One-dimensional titanium dioxide nanorod(TNR)-supported Cu catalysts(2.5 wt.%-12.5 wt.%)were synthesized using deposition-precipitation.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,temperature programmed reduction and CO chemisorption measurements showed that Cu doping over TNR offered metal-support interactions and interfacial active sites that had a profound impact on the catalytic *** role of the Cu-TNR interface was investigated by comparing the catalytic activity of Cu-TNR catalysts with that of pure CuO nanoparticles in CO *** presence of highly dispersed copper species,a high number of interfacial active sites,CO adsorption capacity and surface/lattice oxygen were found to be responsible for the excellent activity of 7.5CU-TNR(ie,Cu loading of 7.5 wt.%on TNR).Moreover,the Cu-TNR catalysts followed the Langmuir-Hinshelwood reaction mechanism with 7.5CU-TNR,exhibiting an apparent activation energy of 44.7 kJ/*** TNR-supported Cu catalyst gave the highest interfacial catalytic activity in medium-temperature CO oxidation(120-240℃)compared to other commonly used supports,including titanium dioxide nanoparticles(TiO2-p25),silica(SiO2)and alumina(Al20g)in which copper species were nonhomogeneously *** study confirms that medium-temperature CO oxidation is highly sensitive to the morphology and structure of the supporting material.

A series of phosphine oxide-functionalized polyfluorene derivatives,pFH-pO-40-1 (p1),pFH-pO-20-1 (p2),pFH-pO-10-1 (p3),and pFH-pO-1-1 (p4),were prepared via a palladium-mediated Suzuki cross-coupling *** structures and purities of all polymers were fully characterized by 1H and 13C NMR,UV-vis and photoluminescent spectroscopy,gel permeation chromatography,and TGA/*** emission features showed single broad peaks at about 445 nm in film,compared with those in dilute solutions,which might be caused by some degree of aggregation in the excited states of the *** best electroluminescence (EL) performance of these polymers with configuration of ITO/pEDOT:pSS/polymer/Alq3/LiF/Al was obtained from p1 (current efficiency was 4.2 Cd/A at 6V).
