BACKGROUND Postoperative atrial fibrillation(POAF)is a common yet understudied clinical issue after coronary artery bypass graft(CABG)leading to higher mortality rates and *** systematic review and metaanalysis evaluated the rates of adverse outcomes between patients with and without POAF in patients treated with CABG or combined *** the search period was from the beginning of PubMed and Embase to May 18th,2020 with no language *** inclusion criteria were:(1)studies comparing new onset atrial fibrillation before or after revascularization *** new onset AF before or after *** outcomes assessed included allcause mortality,cardiac death,cerebral vascular accident(CVA),myocardial infarction(MI),repeated revascularization,major adverse cardiac event(MACE),and major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events(MACCEs).RESULTS Of the 7,279 entries screened,11 studies comprising of 57,384 patients were *** to nonPOAF,POAF was significantly associated with higher risk of allcause mortality(Risk Ratio(RR)=1.58;95%Confidence Interval(CI):1.42−1.76,Pth accompanying high level of heterogeneity(I^(2)=62%).Conclusions Patients with POAF after CABG or combined procedures are at an increased risk of allcause mortality or ***,POAF after such procedures should be closely monitored and treated judiciously to minimize risk of further *** there are studies on POAF versus no POAF on outcomes,the heterogeneity suggests that further studies are needed.

Purpose:To investigate the intervention effiects of using traditional Chinese Guqin music and Chinese Calligraphy handwriting(CCH)for patients with Primary ***:A total of ninety patients were assigned to control group,Guqin group,and calligraphy group for 8 *** 5 days a week,patients’heart rate variability(HRV)and frontal midline(FZ)electroencephalographic signals were recorded in a clinic during interventional period while either listening to Guqin music or writing *** in the control group remained in rest ***:For the Guqin group,the higher low-frequency-range HRV of coherence was found with marginal significance(P=0.055),and heart rate was significantly reduced(Pth week in listening to Guqin music compared to the prerest *** listening to Guqin music or calligraphy intervention,FZδ,FZθ,and FZα waves in the 8^th week compared to the 0^th week(Pre Intervention)showed a significantly enhanced effect(.Pthe three groups,for heart rate and FZδ and FZθ waves,calligraphy group showed significantly increased heart rate than the Guqin group(Pthe control group(P=0.004);increased FZδ wave than die Guqin group(Pthe control group(Pthan the Guqin group(P=0.024)and the control group(P=0.008)***:Positive intervention effects on 11RV coherence of Guqin music;FZδ,FZθ,and FZα waves of Guqin music and calligraphy proved that Guqin music together with calligraphy training helping to promote physical and mental health,thereby it contributes to the clinical application of TCM Psychology for patients with insomnia syndrome.

海堤是海岸带地区社会经济活动的重要保护屏障。海岸侵蚀的加剧将导致海堤稳定性和安全性降低,增加海岸带地区遭受极端风暴洪水的风险,进而影响到海岸带地区的安全。本文选择上海石化这一遭受海岸侵蚀较为严重的区域作为研究区,利用GIS分析了1972—2020年近岸海床侵蚀特征,并基于2000—2020年-5 m等深线变化评估了上海石化近岸海堤的稳定性。结果表明:1972—2020年间上海石化前沿海床整体以侵蚀为主,石化近岸东侧以及西侧局部的浅滩侵蚀明显,城市沙滩中段、第6次围堤处以及码头东岸海堤稳定性最低。基于上述研究结果,考虑海堤稳定性薄弱段出现极端风暴洪水漫堤或溃堤情景,模拟并分析了上海石化2010年、2030年和2050年遭受千年一遇极端风暴洪水的风险。结果显示:在2010年基准年情景下,受海岸侵蚀作用最明显的城市沙滩和第6次围堤区域遭遇极端风暴洪水的风险最高,到2050年,当前稳定性较好的海堤安全性也将大大降低,与2010年相比,上海石化近岸地区的直接经济损失将会增加近3倍。

NOD-like receptors mediated activation of eosinophils interacting with bronchial epithelial cells： a link between innate immunity and allergic asthma

Key intracytosolic pattern recognition receptors of innate immunity against bacterial infections are nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain （NOD）-Iike receptors （NLRs）. We elucidated the NOD1 and NOD2-mediated activation of human eosinophils, the principal effector cells for allergic inflammation, upon interacting with human bronchial epithelial BEAS-2B cells in allergic asthma. Eosinophils constitutively expressed NOD1,2 but exhibited nonsignificant responses to release chemokines upon the stimulation by NOD1 ligand 7-D-glutamyl-meso-diaminopimelic acid （iE-DAP） and NOD2 ligand muramyl dipeptide （MDP）. However, iE-DAP and MDP could significantly upregulate cell surface expression of CD18 and intercellular adhesion molecule （ICAM）-I on eosinophils and ICAM-1 on BEAS-2B cells, as well as induce chemokines CCL2 and CXCL8 release in the coculture system （all P〈0.05）. Both eosinophils and BEAS-2B cells were the main source for CXCL8 and CCL2 release in the coculture system upon iE-DAP or MDP stimulation. Direct interaction between eosinophils and BEAS-2B cells is responsible for CCL2 release, and soluble mediators are implicated in CXCL8 release. ERK and NF-KB play regulatory roles for the expression of adhesion molecules and chemokines in coculture. Treatment with NOD1,2 ligand could induce the subepithelial fibrosis and significantly enhance the serum concentration of total IgE, chemokine CCL5 for eosinophils and T helper type 2 （th2） cells and asthma th2 cytokine IL-13 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of ovalbumin-sensitized allergic asthmatic mice （all P〈0.05）. this study provides further evidence of bacterial infection-mediated activation of NOD1,2 in triggering allergic asthma via the activation of eosinophils interacting with bronchial epithelial cells at inflammatory airway.

Background: Superficial candidiasis is a very frequent opportunistic disease caused by yeasts of the genus Candida. Among Candida types, some, such as Candida auris, have developed resistance to several antifungal agents. the objective of this study was to determine the hospital frequency of superficial candidiasis diagnosed at the CHU Fann and to investigate the presence of C. auris among the identified Candida strains. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from February to June 2019. It involved all patients received at the Parasitology-Mycology laboratory of the CHU of Fann for suspected superficial candidiasis. Nails, skin, and vaginal specimens were subjected to direct examination and culture to identify yeasts of the genus Candida. the Candida strains were then tested by molecular biology targeting the specific C. auris ITS2 region. Results: A total of 1196 patients were examined. One thousand two hundred and five specimens (1205) were collected, including 1042 vaginal specimens, 92 nail specimens, and 71 skin specimens. Superficial candidiasis was diagnosed in 408 patients (37%). Women (34.52%) and patients under 30 years of age (39.60%) were the most affected. Yeasts of the genus Candida were found in 411 specimens (349 vaginal swabs, 36 nail fragments, and 26 skin flakes) by routine mycological techniques. the Candida albicans complex (C. albicans, C. dubliniensis, and C. africana) represented 75.91% of the Candida strains isolated. Molecular biology did not identify C. auris. Conclusion: Superficial candidiasis remains very common in hospitals in Senegal. Candida auris was not found in our study. Due to its rapid spread, surveillance is necessary to prevent epidemics in our hospitals.

对2000年3月28-31日发生在香港地区的一次光化学污染过程进行了分析。在这次过程中,O3、NO2、CO、RSP、SO2的最大浓度分别达到175.2μg/m3,333.5μg/m3,5405μg/m3,349.3μg/m3,132.8μg/m3,污染持续时间三天,影响范围覆盖香港全境。利用同步的气象资料和大气污染监测数据,进行了浓度变化分析、气象条件分析、局地光化学机制分析和输送机制分析。结果揭示了这次污染过程的基本特征,并指出造成这次大气污染的可能原因:晴天高温、低湿的气象条件和局地污染物的排放对此次光化学烟雾的形成有重要作用;外地污染物的输送对污染形成也有一定贡献。香港地区所处的地理位置、城市布局和交通状况有利于光化学污染的形成。

We elucidated the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of IL-38 in allergic *** bronchial epithelial cells and eosinophils were cocultured upon stimulation with the viral RLR ligand poly(I:C)/LyoVec or infection-related cytokine TNF-αto induce expression of cytokines/chemokines/adhesion *** dust mite(HDM)-induced allergic asthma and humanized allergic asthma NOD/SCID murine models were established to assess anti-inflammatory mechanisms in ***-38 significantly inhibited induced proinflammatory IL-6,IL-1β,CCL5,and CXCL10 production,and antiviral interferon-βand intercellular adhesion molecule-1 expression in the coculture *** cytometry and RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that IL-38 could antagonize the activation of the intracellular STAT1,STAT3,p38 MAPK,ERK1/2,and NF-κB pathways,and upregulate the expression of the host defense-related gene POU2AF1 and anti-allergic response gene *** injection of IL-38 into HDM-induced allergic asthma mice could ameliorate airway hyperreactivity by decreasing the accumulation of eosinophils in the lungs and inhibiting the expression of the th2-related cytokines IL-4,IL-5,and IL-13 in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)and lung *** examination indicated lung inflammation was alleviated by reductions in cell infiltration and goblet cell hyperplasia,together with reduced th2,th17,and innate lymphoid type 2 cell numbers but increased proportions of regulatory T cells in the lungs,spleen,and lymph ***-38 administration suppressed airway hyperreactivity and asthma-related IL-4 and IL-5 expression in humanized mice,together with significantly decreased CCR3^(+) eosinophil numbers in the BALF and lungs,and a reduced percentage of human CD4^(+)CRth2^(+)th2 cells in the lungs and mediastinal lymph ***,our results demonstrated the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of IL-38 and provided a basis for the development of a regulatory cytokine-based treatment for allergic

Psoriasis,an immune-mediated inflammatory skin disorder characterized by a chronically relapsing-remitting course,continues to be primarily managed through topical *** oral administration of tyrosine kinase 2 inhibitors(TYK2i)stands as an effective approach for psoriasis treatment,the potential efficacy of topical application of TYK2i remains ***,the carbomer/alginic acid hydrogel is embedded with borneol(BO)as a new topical carrier of TYK2i for achieving enhanced transdermal permeation and anti-psoriasis *** hydrogel system,i.e.,TYK2i-BO-gel,exhibits significantly improved preventative and therapeutic effects in mice models of psoriasiform dermatitis,as evidenced by phenotypical images,psoriasis severity score index(PSI),histology,immunohistochemical staining,and PCR ***,TYK2i-BO-gel outperforms conventional topical corticosteroid therapy by significantly preventing psoriatic lesion recurrence as measured by a nearly 50%reduction in ear thickness changes(pthickness(pthened anti-inflammatory effect caused by TYK2i-BO-gel is seen in a human skin explant model,implying its potential application for human *** the addition of BO,the TYK2i-BO-gel not only increases skin permeability but also inhibits the expression of antimicrobial peptides in keratinocytes and facilitates the anti-th17 response of TYK2i with suppressed activation of ***,this work represents the accessibility and effectiveness of TYK2i-BO-hydrogel as a new topical formulation for anti-psoriasis management and shows great potential for clinical application.

Objectives: To study the prevalence of alcohol drinking experience and attitudes towards sex behaviors among female students in a technical secondary school in Guangzhou, China. Methods: Cluster random sampling and a self-administered questionnaire survey. Results: 653 female students aged more than 18 years in a technical secondary school were surveyed. 112 (17.2%) of them had not drunk alcohol. From the group with no alcohol experience to those who drank low level alcoholic drinks, and high level alcoholic drinks, or had got drunk (3 groups), there was an increasing trend of agreeing to love (33.9%, 56.9% and 63.3% respectively,
