Background:To test clinically relevant factors associated with quantitative artifact-free deep capillary plexus(dcP)metrics in patients with diabetes mellitus(dM).Methods:563 eligible eyes(221 with no diabetic retinopathy[dR],135 with mild dR,130 with moderate dR,and 77 with severe dR)from 334 subjects underwent optical coherence tomography-angiography(OcT-A)with a swept-source OcT(Triton dRI-OcT,Topcon,Inc.,Tokyo,Japan).strict criteria were applied to exclude from analysis those dcP images with artifacts and of poor quality,including projection artifacts,motion artifacts,blurriness,signal loss,B-scan segmentation error,or low-quality score.A customized MATLAB program was then used to quantify dcP morphology from the artifact-free dcP images by calculating three metrics:foveal avascular zone(FAZ),vessel density(Vd),and fractal dimension(Fd).Results:166(29.5%)eyes were excluded after quality control,leaving in the analysis 397 eyes(170 with no dR,101 with mild dR,90 with moderate dR,36 with severe dR)from 250 *** the multiple regression models,larger FAZ area was associated with more severe dR(β=0.687;p=0.037),shorter axial length(AL)(β=−0.171;p=0.003),thinner subfoveal choroid thickness(β=−0.122;p=0.031),and lower body mass index(BMI)(β=−0.090;p=0.047).Lower Vd was associated with more severe dR(β=−0.842;p=0.001),shorter AL(β=0.107;p=0.039),and poorer visual acuity(VA)(β=−0.133;p=0.021).Lower Fd was associated with more severe dR(β=−0.891;pd with older age(β=−0.142;p=0.004).conclusions:Quantitative artifact-free dcP metrics are associated with VA,dR severity,AL,subfoveal choroidal thickness,age,and BMI in diabetic *** effects of ocular and systemic factors should be considered for meaningful interpretations of dcP changes in dM patients.

single crystals of β-Naphthol （/3N）, an organic nonlinear optical （NLO） material was successfully grown by temperature lowering method using chloroform as solvent. The initial compound was purified by repeated recrystallization process. As-grown crystals were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction （XRd） studies to ascertain that βN crystal crystallized in the monoclinic system with a noncemtrosymmetric space group. Vibrational frequencies of various functional groups in the crystals were derived from Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） spectroscopy and proton nuclear magnetic resonance （NMR） spectrum. Optical characterization was done using UV-Visible near-infrared （NIR） spectroscopy. The thermal behaviour of the material was studied by thermo gravimetric and differential thermal plots. scanning electron microscopy （sEM） study was carried out on the surface of the grown crystals to investigate the nature of defects in the crystal surface and the NLO property of the crystal was tested by Nd：YAG laser as a source.

As one of the fundamental outcomes of dislocation self-interaction,dislocation dipoles have an important influence on the plastic deformation of materials,especially on fatigue and *** this work,superdislocation dipoles inγ-TiAl andα_(2)-Ti_(3)Al were systematically investigated by atomistic simulations,with a variety of dipole heights,orientations and annealing tempe *** results indicate that non-screw super-dipoles transform into locally stable dipolar or reconstructed cores at low temperature,while into isolated or interconnected point defect clusters and stacking fault tetrahedra at high temperature via short-range diffu ***-screw super-dipoles inγ-TiAl andα_(2)-Ti_(3)Al exhibit similar features as fcc and hcp metals,***,over long-term annealing where diffusion is significant,60°superdipoles inγ-TiAl are stable,whereas the stability of super-dipoles inα2-Ti3 Al increases with dipole height and orientation *** influence on mechanical properties can be well evaluated by integrating these results into mesoscale or constitutive models.

Magnetization dynamics in uniformly magnetized ferromagnetic media is studied by using Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation. The nonlinear evolution equation is integrable with site-dependent and biquadratic exchange interaction by means of Landau-Lifshitz （LL） equation which is well understood. In the present work, we construct the exact solitary solutions of the nonlinear evolution equation, particularly, we employ the modified extended tangent hyperbolic function method. We show the shape changing property of solitons for the given integrable system in the presence of damping as well as inhomogeneities.

Frontiers of Literary studies in china-selected Publications from chinese Universities 2018年第3期12卷 351-387页

A revival of ci writing was witnessed in the qing dynasty. Emerging with this resurgence was the founding of scores of ci societies. After the fall of the Qing, some loyalists and traditional literati, following the examples of their predecessors, joined together to form a number of ci societies in Republican china. For loyalist-lyricists such as Zhu Zumou, ci writing was not just one of the effective ways to convey their memories of the past. It also meant to be a gesture of practicing and preserving traditional chinese culture. However, due to ideological bias, their works and the vitality of c/she did not receive sufficient attention from literary historians in the past. This paper attempts to reveal and examine the interesting features of c/she in the Republican era, asserting that within the collective voice of and harmonious correspondence among the traditional lyricists, there were always some dissonances occurred. First I delineate a general picture of ci societies in Republican china, explicating the geographical distribution and.s.c.al networks of ci lyricists and why lyricists from the Qing loyalist faction can associate with members of the anti-Manchu southern society （Nanshe）, and what this phenomenon means to us. Then I focus on the Foam society （Oushe）, the ci society formed in shanghai before the Japanese occupation of the city, and its group ci composition. Besides recounting Oushe members＇ backgrounds and the details of their ＂refined gatherings,＂ I will bring into light the multifaceted thematic and stylistic features displayed in the members＇ works.

We present a novel method for the solution of the diffusion equation on a composite AMR mesh. This approach is suitable for including diffusion based physics modules to hydrocodes that support ALE and AMR capabilities. To illustrate, we proffer our implementations of diffu- sion based radiation transport and heat conduction in a hydrocode called ALE-AMR. Numerical experiments conducted with the diffusion solver and associated physics packages yield 2nd order convergence in the L2 norm.

Rhizobium bacteria are known as symbionts of legumes for developing nodules on plant roots and fixing N2 for the host plants but unknown for associations with ***,we detected,isolated,and characterized a Rhizobium species from the marine toxic dinoflagellate Gambierdiscus *** 16s rRNA gene(rdNA)is 99%identical to that of Rhizobium rosettiformans,and the affiliation is supported by the phylogenetic placement of its cell wall hydrolase-encoding gene(cwh).Using quantitative PcR of 16s rdNA and cwh,we found that the abundance of this bacterium increased during the late exponential growth phase of Gambierdiscus and under nitrogen limitation,suggesting potential physiological interactions between the dinoflagellate and the *** is the first report of dinoflagellate-associated Rhizobium bacterium,and its prevalence and ecological roles in dinoflagellate-Rhizobium relationships remain to be investigated in the future.
