Mosquito-borne diseases(MBDs),like malaria and mosquito-borne viruses(MBVs),have caused the deaths of millions of *** threat resides in the variety of transmission modes that they possess,along with the wide selection of favorable hosts,such as humans,cattle,and *** are increasingly gaining a reputation as one of the most dangerous threats to public health in recent *** numbers have been increasing in recent years as a result of multiple factors such as climate change and *** situation highlights the urgent need for actions to mitigate mosquito and MBD pathogen *** the Middle East,many outbreaks of MBDs have been reported in the ***,there are no reports of any endemic episodes of *** Middle East has faced many challenges over the years;however,the Syrian refugee crisis may be strongly related to the spread of infectious *** mass gatherings and high-density populations are common features in the region,it is possible to understand why MBDs can spread *** review summarizes the state of MBDs in the Middle East,highlighting the different types of MBDs that have been reported in the region and discussing how to move forward with controlling their spread and limiting the risks they *** to the data reported by the electronic State Parties Self-Assessment Annual Reporting Tool(e-SPAR),the capacity to anticipate MBVs varies among Middle East ***,the Middle East is on the frontline in the challenge to control a potential public health ***,the countries of the Middle East should be encouraged to improve their health and research capacities to mitigate the threat posed by MBDs.

Support Vector Machine(SVM)has become one of the traditional machine learning algorithms the most used in prediction and classification ***,its behavior strongly depends on some parameters,making tuning these parameters a sensitive step to maintain a good *** the other hand,and as any other classifier,the performance of SVM is also affected by the input set of features used to build the learning model,which makes the selection of relevant features an important task not only to preserve a good classification accuracy but also to reduce the dimensionality of *** this paper,the MRFO+SVM algorithm is introduced by investigating the recent manta ray foraging optimizer to fine-tune the SVM parameters and identify the optimal feature subset *** proposed approach is validated and compared with four SVM-based algorithms over eight benchmarking ***,it is applied to a disease Covid-19 *** experimental results show the high ability of the proposed algorithm to find the appropriate SVM’s parameters,and its acceptable performance to deal with feature selection problem.

Hydrodynamics characterization in terms ofﬂow regime behavior is a crucial task to enhance the design of bubble column reactors and scaling up related *** review presents recent studies on the typicalﬂow regimes established in bubble *** effort is also provided to introduce relevant deﬁnitions pertaining to thisﬁeld,namely,that of“void fraction”and related(local,chordal,cross-sectional and volumetric)*** studies involving different parameters that affect design and operating conditions are also discussed in *** the second part of the review,the attention is shifted to cases with internals of various types(perfo-rated plates,bafﬂes,vibrating helical springs,mixers,and heat exchanger tubes)immersed in the bubble *** is shown that the presence of these elements has a limited inﬂuence on the global column ***,they can make the homogeneousﬂow regime more stable in terms of transition gas velocity and transi-tion holdup *** last section is used to highlight gaps which have not beenﬁlled yet and future directions of investigation.

Over the past years,many efforts have been accomplished to achieve fast and accurate meta-heuristic algorithms to optimize a variety of real-world *** study presents a new optimization method based on an unusual geological phenomenon in nature,named Geyser inspired algorithm(GEA).The mathematical modeling of this geological phenomenon is carried out to have a better understanding of the optimization *** efficiency and accuracy of GEA are verified using statistical examination and convergence rate comparison on numerous CEC 2005,CEC 2014,CEC 2017,and real-parameter benchmark ***,GEA has been applied to several real-parameter engineering optimization problems to evaluate its *** addition,to demonstrate the applicability and robustness of GEA,a comprehensive investigation is performed for a fair comparison with other standard optimization *** results demonstrate that GEA is noticeably prosperous in reaching the optimal solutions with a high convergence rate in comparison with other well-known nature-inspired algorithms,including ABC,BBO,PSO,and *** that the source code of the GEA is publicly available at https://***/projects/gea.

The emergence and zoonotic transmission of poxviruses in the Middle East have been recognized as complex public health ***,a vast family of DNA viruses,can infect many hosts,including animals and *** Middle East has had multiple epidemics of poxvirus infections(e.g.,Monkeypox,Smallpox,and Camelpox)that have raised concerns owing to their detrimental effects on livestock,wildlife,and sporadic human *** review aims to thoroughly examine the complexity of the epidemiological patterns,intricate genetic diversity,and several contributing factors that support the emergence and zoonotic transmission of poxviruses in the Middle *** aspects of poxviruses contribute to the emergence of endemics and zoonotic breakouts,such as the complex nature of human-animal interactions,environmental changes,and their subtle capacity for viral *** review was compiled in the hopes of contributing to the current understanding of poxvirus biology and its implications for human and animal health in the Middle *** provide a comprehensive overview of the most common poxviruses in the Middle East,including their classification,structure,replication cycle,pathogenesis,route of transmissions,and of how the Middle East has developed ways to mitigate these biological threats.

In this study,the evaluation of the performance of the split internal loop photobioreactor for culturing a species of green microalgae,Scenedesmus *** different operating superficial gas velocity and during a different time of growth(i.e.,starting for the first day until end day of the culturing process)was *** evaluation of the performance of the split internal loop photobioreactor was included assessing the density,pH,temperature,viscosity,surface tension,the optical density,cell population,dry biomass,and chlorophyll of the culture medium of the microalgae ***,the hydrodynamics of a Split Internal-Loop Photobioreactor with microalgae culturing was comprehensively *** particle tracking(RPT)and gamma-ray computed tomography(CT)techniques were applied for the first time to quantify and address the influence of microalgae culture on the hydrodynamic *** hydrodynamics parameters such as local liquid velocity field,shear stresses,turbulent kinetic energy,and local gas holdup profiles were measured at different superficial gas velocities as well as under different times of algae *** obtained results indicate that the flow distribution may significantly affect the performance of the photobioreactor,which may have substantial effects on the cultivation *** obtained experimental data can serve as benchmark data for the evaluation and validation of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)codes and their ***,in turn,allows us to develop efficient reactors and consequently improving the productivity and selectivity of these photobioreactors.
