Prognostic Factors in Cardiorenal Syndrome Type 1: Retrospective Observational and Analytical Study

introduction: Type 1 cardiorenal syndrome (CRS 1) is characterized by acute impairment of cardiac function leading to acute renal dysfunction. CRS1 is present in 25% of patients admitted for heart failure. The objective of our study is to analyze the epidemiological, clinical, therapeutic profile and the risk and prognostic factors of these patients. Materials and Methods: We identified 120 patients with cardiorenal syndrome (CRS) over a one-year period to determine the prevalence and risk factors for developing CRS 1. We analyzed the clinical, biological, and evolutionary profiles of patients with CRS 1 and determined the risk factors for the occurrence of acute kidney injury (AKi) as well as the mortality factors in these patients. Résultats: The average age of our patients with CRS1 is 58 ± 9 years, with a sex ratio of 1.4. The average eGFR of our patients is 35 ± 6.5 ml/min/1.73m2. Diabetes was found in 17% of our patients and hypertension in 14%. The etiology of cardiac impairment is predominantly acute coronary syndrome (ACS), followed by rhythm disorders. Renally, all our patients have acute kidney injury (AKi), with 86% having functional acute renal failure and 14% having acute tubular necrosis. Therapeutically, 50% of our patients are on diuretics, 42% receive beta-blocker treatment, and raAS blockers are used in 29% of cases. Renal replacement therapy (RRT) sessions were required in 13.8% of cases. in univariate analysis, male gender, tachyarrhythmia, and hypertension are associated with the early onset of acute kidney injury (AKi). The use of diuretics, anemia, and low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) are linked to a higher risk of developing CRS 1 (p = 0.021, p = 0.037, p = 0.010 respectively). in multivariate analysis, advanced age is significantly associated with increased mortality risk in CRS 1 patients (p = 0.030), while beta-blocker use is considered a protective factor (p = 0.014). The behavior of non-Newtonian power-law nanofluids under free convection heat transfer conditions in a cooled square enclosure equipped with a heated fin is investigated *** particular,the impact of nanofluids,composed of water and Al_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),and Cu nanoparticles,on heat transfer enhancement is *** aim of this research is also to analyze the influence of different parameters,including the rayleigh number(ra=10^(4)-10^(6)),nanoparticle volume fraction(φ=0%-20%),non-Newtonian power-law indexes(n=0.6-1.4),and fin dimensions(Ar=0.3,0.5,and 0.7).Streamlines and isotherms are used to depict flow and related heat transfer *** indicate that thermal performance improves with increasing rayleigh number,regardless of the nanoparticle type or nanofluid rheological *** suggests that the buoyancy force has a significant impact on heat transfer,particularly near the heat *** Nusselt number is more sensitive to variations in Cu nanoparticle volume fractions compared to Al₂O₃and TiO₂.Moreover,the average Nusselt numbers for power-law nanofluids with n1)are greater(smaller)than for Newtonian fluids due to the decrease(increase)in viscosity with increasing(decreasing)shear rate,at the same values of rayleigh number ra owing to the amplification(attenuation)of the convective ***,the most substantial enhancement is observed with Cu-water shear-thinning nanofluid,where the Nusselt number increases by 136%when changing from Newtonian to shear thinning behavior and by 154.9%when adding 16%nanoparticle volume ***,an even larger increase of 57%in the average Nusselt number is obtained on increasing the fin length from 0.3 to 0.7.

The shiny cowbird Molothrus bonariensis parasitizes many species with different life-history traits and has a detrimental effect on the survival of the progeny of the *** response,hosts have developed numerous antiparasitic ***,we examined the effects of brood parasitism by shiny cowbird on the clutch and brood sizes(83 nests)in a small host,the black-backed water tyrant Fluvicola *** also studied whether the death of parasite nestlings was related to the care of the foster parents and whether the host had any antiparasitic defense against the shiny *** results indicate that brood parasitism significantly decreased the host hatching and fledging *** majority of nest failures(57%)were caused by brood *** cowbird parasitism occurred in 52%of nests and the intensity of parasitism was 1.23±0.53 eggs per parasitized *** the total host eggs,54%were *** the incubation stage,20 nests(47%)were abandoned because of egg punctures by shiny cowbirds *** two parasitic fledglings were recorded,while the remaining nestlings either died from starvation(n=12)or predation(n=3).Foster parents abandoned parasitic nestlings between 5 and 10 days *** findings demonstrate that the shiny cowbird has very low rates of fledging success when parasitizing black-backed water ***,parasitism had a high reproductive cost in the black-backed water tyrant because a very low proportion(7%)of the parasitized nests(n=43)were successful.

Biobased smart packaging is been the most interesting research *** this study,pH-sensitive films based on anthocyanin molecules from red cabbage and sepiolite mineral nano-clay as functional additives were *** films were fabricated by casting method of blend polymer Chitosan/Poly(Vinyl Alcohol)at two fillers loading(5wt.%and 10wt.%).The structural,morphological,thermal,optical,hygroscopic,and mechanical properties as well as the pH sensitivity of films were *** thermal properties confirm that the amount of the anthocyanin in sepiolite was around 6.4%.The tensile strength and the young’s modulus of produced composites at 10wt.%sepiolite–anthocyanin content was increased to 8.90 MPa and 163 MPa,*** maximum water absorption that the films may absorb was 12.3%.pH sensitivity analysis showed that the Smart films change the color by changing the pH level,from pink at pH lower than 6 to yellow at pH higher than ***,the developed pH-sensitive films show band gaps in visible light that make them useful for monitoring milk spoilage.

AiM:To evaluate the retinal safety of various doses of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide(TA)in ***:Thirty New Zealand albino rabbits were divided into five groups(six animals each).in group 1(control group),each animal received a single intravitreal injection of 0.1 mL phosphate buffered *** groups2,3,4 and 5,each rabbit received a single intravitreal injection of 4,8,16 and 32mg of TA,*** dose was contained in 0.1 mL phosphate buffered *** ocular examinations were performed before the injection and on the 1st,3rd,10th and 17th postinjection days.A standard dark adapted electroretinogram(ERG)was obtained before injection and on the 3rd,10th and 17th post-injection ***17d,animals were sacrificed and their eyes prepared for pathological ***:By monitoring ERG as a functional index for the retina,intravitreal injection of 4mg TA showed no significant ERG *** doses of 8,16 and 32,hyper-abnormal responses in a-and b-waves of ERG were detected on the 3rd post-injection *** changes gradually returned back to normal limits *** examination of the retina of all animals showed no pathological ***:High doses of intravitreal TA seemed to have enhancing effects on the retinal function with gradual return to normal limits with no pathological changes detected in examined eyes.

AiM: To determine whether the photopic negative response(Ph NR) elicited by transient white flash on white background is characterizing for glaucoma model in ***: Glaucoma was induced in twelve rabbits by subconjunctival injection of 0.05 m L of betamethasone in right eyes(each 1 m L contain betamethasone dipropionate5 mg and betamethasone sodium phosphate 2 mg).The intraocular pressure(iOP), electroretinogram(ERG) and visual evoked potential(VEP) were measured successively prior and on the 3, 7d, two weeks and four weeks postglaucoma induction. After four weeks, the animals were sacrificed and the globes were histopathologically ***: The iOP increased significantly after one week(P =0.0001), then it gradually returned to the control level. in ERG examination, the means of a and b wave amplitude and latency were not affected *** NR amplitude decreased significantly within one week(P =0.0001), but its latency was not affected significantly(P =0.132). The means of VEP latency and amplitude were significantly affected after two weeks and four weeks of glaucoma induction(P =0.0001 and 0.02,respectively). The histopathologic examination of the globes showed reduced number of cells in the retinal ganglion cell layer with multiple vacuoles in the retinal nerve fibre *** was significant positive correlation between ganglion cell layer cells and Ph NR amplitude( r =0.8, P =0.002).CONCLUSiON: The rise in iOP resulted in irreversible changes or incomplete recovery of VEP and Ph NR amplitude. Both Ph NR and VEP represented good additional tools in early diagnosis of glaucoma.

Spectrofluorimetric and spectrophotometric stability-indicating methods were developed and validated for analysis of veralipride （Ver） in presence of its hydrolytic and oxidative degradants. The spectrofluorimetric method was based on direct measurement of the intrinsic fluorescence of Ver at 366 nm after excitation at 299 nm using sodium lauryl sulfate （SLS） as micelle enhancer. The fluorescence intensity plot was linear over the concentration range 1.0-10.0 ***-1. The high sensitivity of the method allowed its successful application to the analysis of Ver in spiked human plasma. Two other methods were developed. They are based on the oxidative coupling reac- tion of Vet with 3-methyl benzothiazolin-2-one hydrazone （MBTH） hydrochloride in presence of ceric ammonium sulphate in an acidic medium. The first method depends on spectrophotometric measurement of the stable green colored oxidative coupling product at 660 nm. The different experimental parameters affecting the reaction were optimized. Linearity range is 10.0--100.0 ~tgomL-1. The second method depends on a fluorescence quenching effect of Vet on the fluorescence of Ce3＋. The difference in fluorescence intensity was measured at 380 nm after excitation at 300 nm. This method is applicable over the concentration ranges 0.25-2.50 pg-mL-1. The methods were validated according to the iCH guidelines. They were successfully applied for the analysis of Ver in drug substance, drug product and in laboratory prepared mixtures containing different percentages of hydrolytic and oxidative degradants.
