Stress is a.socia.ed with ma.y professions including denta. surgery. It ha. been the subject of severa. studies. However, its eva.ua.ion in orthodontics ha. not been sufficiently studied. Some studies tha. ha.e described the stressful a.pects of dentistry ha.e reported the involvement of orthodontists, but no studies ha.e been conducted in Morocco. The purpose of this study is to eva.ua.e professiona. stress in orthodontics in Morocco. We conducted a.descriptive a.d sectiona. study through a.survey distributed to one hundred priva.e orthodontist pra.titioners in Ca.a.la.ca. Morocco. Stress signs were observed in 44% of the orthodontists. The most prominent fa.tors of stress in orthodontics a.e rela.ed to pa.ients a.d time. Experience of pra.titioners ha. been identified a. the only fa.tor significa.tly influencing their perception of stress. Thus, clinica. competence a.d proper ma.a.ement of pra.tice a.e the best wa.s to dea. with da.ly stress in orthodontic pra.tice.

The resources a.a.la.le to a. individua. in a.y given environment a.e finite, a.d va.ia.ion in life history tra.ts reflect differentia. a.loca.ion of these resources to competing life functions. Nutritiona. qua.ity of food is of pa.ticula. importa.ce in these life history decisions. In this study, we tested tra.e-offs a.ong growth, immunity a.d surviva. in 3 groups of grea.er wa. moth （Ga.leria.mellonella. la.va. fed on diets of high a.d a.era.e nutritiona. qua.ity. We found ra.id growth a.d wea. immunity （a. mea.ured by enca.sula.ion response） in the la.va. of the high-energy food group. It took longer to develop on food of a.era.e nutritiona. qua.ity. However, enca.sula.ion response wa. stronger in this group. The la.va. grew longer in the low-energy food group, a.d ha. the strongest enca.sula.ion response. We observed the highest surviva. ra.es in la.va. of the low-energy food group, while the highest morta.ity ra.es were observed in the high-energy food group. a.significa.t nega.ive correla.ion between body ma.s a.d the strength of enca.sula.ion response wa. found only in the high-energy food group revea.ing significa.t competition between growth a.d immunity only a. the highest ra.es of growth. The results of this study help to esta.lish rela.ionships between types of food, its nutritiona. va.ue a.d life history tra.ts of G. mellonella.la.va..

Pyrimidines, such a. 6-a.ino-2-thio a.d 2-methylthioura.ils a.d fused pyrimidines, such a. thienopyrimidines rea.ted with 1-O-a.etyl-2,3,5-tri-O- benzoyl-β-D-ribofura.ose to get new deriva.ives of the corresponding nucleosides. The obta.ned protected nucleosides were deprotected by metha.olic sodium methoxide to get the corresponding free ura.il a.d thienopyrimidine nucleosides. The new nucleosides formed were tested for biologica. a.tivity a.a.nst some of microorga.ism (some fungi a.d ba.teria.species). Some of the tested products showed modera.e a.tivity a.d the results were reported.

Surfa.e a.d subsurfa.e oil sha.e (OS) rocks in Jorda. ha.e potentia. economic va.ue for the country a.d still unutilized. This resea.ch pa.er focuses on centra. a.d southern OS deposits in Jorda.. Brief cha.a.teriza.ion of four OS deposits is presented. Size distribution test a.d elementa. a.a.ysis were performed. Sha.e oil wa. extra.ted via.three solva.ion methods: Soxhlet extra.tion, extra.tion via.mixing a.d stirring, a.d la.tly super-critica. fluid extra.tion. Ma.or sha.e oil fra.tions were obta.ned from extra.t fra.tiona.ion on chroma.ogra.hic column. The nuclea. ma.netic resona.ce spectroscopy technique wa. used to study qua.ita.ively the fra.tiona. composition of OS extra.t. Results show tha. a.l studied OS deposits ha.e quite simila. trend in their pa.ticle size distribution a.d their elementa. composition. These OS deposits a.e found to be va.ying in their solva.ion beha.ior, fra.tiona. yield, a.d sha.e oil composition. Highest yield is obta.ned from pola. solvents. The OS extra.tion via.solva.ion processes is promising under certa.n extra.tion conditions such a. super-critica. conditions. The solva.ion va.ia.ility of Jorda.ia. OS indica.es tha. different extra.tion techniques suit different OS deposits. Such va.ia.ility should be considered in a.y future extra.tion options.

Discussion: In non-shocka.le rhythms, the powerful defibrilla.or ma.hine is not used during resuscita.ion. In such ca.es, identifying the offending ca.se, performing high qua.ity CPR a.d a.ministering epinephrine a.e the only effective tools in resuscita.ing a.pa.ient.

Hea.y meta. pollution ha. become a.serious environmenta. issue in the la.t few deca.es. There is a.need to develop potentia. technology tha. ca. remove toxic hea.y meta.s ions found in polluted environments. This study wa. underta.en to determine the resista.ce levels of different concentra.ions of hea.y meta.s using fila.entous fungi of Trichoderma.a.reoviride, T. ha.zia.um, a.d T. virens. Ba.ed on the results, the T. virens stra.n T128 ga.e the highest tolera.ce a.ility for Ni3+ a.d Pb2+ in a.1200 mg/L concentra.ion. The a.cumula.ion a.d upta.e ca.a.ity wa. determined by the ma.imum remova. of Pb2+, Cu2+, a.d Ni3+ by a.T. ha.zia.um in liquid medium when compa.ed to other fungi. The meta. remova. occurred a. a.concentra.ion of 500 mg/L a.d wa. 13.48 g/g for Pb2+, 3.1254 g/g for Cu2+ a.d 0.8351 g/g for Ni3+. For Zn2+, the highest tolera.ce a.d upta.e ca.a.ity of meta. wa. recorded a. 3.1789 g/g by T. virens.
