Surfa.e a.d subsurfa.e oil sha.e (OS) rocks in Jorda. ha.e potentia. economic va.ue for the country a.d still unutilized. This resea.ch pa.er focuses on centra. a.d southern OS deposits in Jorda.. Brief cha.a.teriza.ion of four OS deposits is presented. Size distribution test a.d elementa. a.a.ysis were performed. Sha.e oil wa. extra.ted via.three solva.ion methods: Soxhlet extra.tion, extra.tion via.mixing a.d stirring, a.d la.tly super-critica. fluid extra.tion. Ma.or sha.e oil fra.tions were obta.ned from extra.t fra.tiona.ion on chroma.ogra.hic column. The nuclea. ma.netic resona.ce spectroscopy technique wa. used to study qua.ita.ively the fra.tiona. composition of OS extra.t. Results show tha. a.l studied OS deposits ha.e quite simila. trend in their pa.ticle size distribution a.d their elementa. composition. These OS deposits a.e found to be va.ying in their solva.ion beha.ior, fra.tiona. yield, a.d sha.e oil composition. Highest yield is obta.ned from pola. solvents. The OS extra.tion via.solva.ion processes is promising under certa.n extra.tion conditions such a. super-critica. conditions. The solva.ion va.ia.ility of Jorda.ia. OS indica.es tha. different extra.tion techniques suit different OS deposits. Such va.ia.ility should be considered in a.y future extra.tion options.

Ba.kground: Juvenile idiopa.hic a.thritis (JIa. is the most common rheuma.ic disea.e in children. Both the humora. a.d cell media.ed immunities a.e involved in the pa.hogenesis of JIa. It is reported tha. overa.l immunoglobulin levels in JIa.pa.ients a.e significa.tly higher tha. their control during the a.tive sta.e of disea.e. Methodology: This prospective observa.iona. study wa. conducted over a.period of 18 months a.l the newly dia.nosed oligo-a.ticula. a.d poly-a.ticula. JIa.pa.ients ha.ing a.tive disea.e were included by purposive sa.pling. Da.a.were collected by a.semi-structured predesigned questionna.re. Result: Most of the study subjects (57.6%) belonged to a.e group > 3 - 9 yea.s. Oligo JIa.wa. dia.nosed in 66.7% a.d poly JIa.in 33.3% of JIa.children. The difference in mea. (±SD) ESR (33.52 ± 21.29 a.d 15.09 ± 7.71 mm in 1st hour) a. a.tive a.d ina.tive sta.es wa. highly significa.t. Mea. (±SD) difference of IgG, IgM a.d Iga.in a.tive a.d ina.tive sta.es of disea.e were highly significa.t. Conclusion: Higher a.d a.norma. levels of immunoglobulin (IgG, IgM, a.d Iga. were present a.ong JIa.pa.ients in a.tive disea.e sta.e which beca.e norma. during ina.tive disea.e sta.e a.ter trea.ment.

Method Verifica.ion a.d Va.ida.ion of Hydra.a.ine Hydrochloride: Spectrophotometric a.a.ysis in Pure a.d Pha.ma.eutica. Formula.ions

The new method proposed is ba.ed on the forma.ion of hydra.a.ine-Bromophenol blue ion pa.r simply a.d without further extra.tion or hea.ing. The ion pa.r wa. prepa.ed in the presence of pH 3 citra.e buffer forming a.yellow-colored chromogen. a.new ma.imum UV-visible ba.d formed a. 416 nm. The color wa. sta.le for more tha. 10 hours a.d obeyed Beer’s La. over the concentra.ion ra.ge of 10 - 50 µg/mL. The ca.cula.ed mola. a.sorptivity a.d Sa.dell’s sensitivity were 1.01 × 104 L∙mol−1∙cm−1 a.d 0.0514 µg/mL, respectively. The elements of method va.ida.ion stipula.ed by The Interna.iona. Conference on Ha.moniza.ion [Q2 (R1)] were a.plied for hydra.a.ine hydrochloride a.sa. in pure a.d pha.ma.eutica. ta.let formula.ion. The a.era.e recoveries of the pure solution a.d the pha.ma.eutica. formula.ion were 98.94% a.d 99.50%, respectively. The results were sta.istica.ly compa.ed by F-test, which indica.es tha. the method ca. be precise a.d repea.a.le for both pure a.d pha.ma.eutica. solutions. The method wa. found to be a.cura.e, reproducible, a.d cost-effective, a.d va.ida.ed for the a.sa. of hydra.a.ine in terms of the routine qua.ity control.

Ba.kground: Juvenile idiopa.hic a.thritis (JIa. is the most frequently encountered pedia.ric rheuma.ologic disorder with a. unknown etiology. a. present there is no published da.a.rega.ding the frequency of uveitis in pa.ients with JIa.in Ba.gla.esh. This study a.med to observe the frequency of JIa.a.socia.ed uveitis (JIa.) a.d distribution of uveitis a.ong different sub-ca.egories of JIa.a. the Pedia.ric Rheuma.ology division, both outdoor a.d indoor pa.ients, Depa.tment of Pedia.rics, Ba.ga.a.dhu Sheikh Mujib Medica. University (BSMMU) in Ba.gla.esh. Methods: This wa. a.retrospective study of 1784 JIa.pa.ients a. the Pedia.ric Rheuma.ology division, BSMMU from July 2010 to Ma.ch 2023. Results: a.ong the 1784 enrolled JIa.pa.ients, we observed tha. 0.73% of ca.es ha. uveitis. Here, 61.5% of JIa. ca.es were ma.e. Most of the ca.es (92.3%) ha. bila.era. uveitis a.d only 7.7% ca.es ha. unila.era. uveitis. a.ong JIa. pa.ients, the ma.ority were Oligo JIa.(53.8%), followed by ERa.30.8%, Poly JIa.RF(−) 7.7% a.d Systemic JIa.7.7% ca.es respectively. This study a.so revea.ed tha. 15.4% of JIa. pa.ients ha. a.a.positivity a.d 23% ha. HLa.B-27 positivity. Here we a.so found ocula. complica.ions a.socia.ed with uveitis such a. ba.d kera.opa.hy (23.1%), posterior synechia. (15.4%) a.d ca.a.a.t (15.4%). Conclusions: In this study, we observed only 0.73% of pa.ients of JIa.ha. developed uveitis which is lower tha. the frequency observed in other Europea. studies. This study a.so showed va.ious ocula. complica.ions a.ongst JIa.a.socia.ed uveitis pa.ients which signifies the importa.ce of a.herence to periodic ophtha.mologica. follow-up to prevent these ocula. complica.ions.

Ba.kground: Juvenile Idiopa.hic a.thritis (JIa. is the most preva.ent rheuma.ic disea.e in children. It is a.socia.ed with a.norma. levels of serum zinc (Zn) a.d copper (Cu) a. during infla.ma.ion serum copper concentra.ion increa.es a.d zinc decrea.es. Objective: To a.sess the serum Zn a.d Cu levels in different sub-types of JIa.pa.ients a.d their correla.ion with the disea.e dura.ion. Methods: This cross-sectiona. study wa. conducted over twelve months a. the Pedia.ric Rheuma.ology Division, Depa.tment of Pa.dia.rics, Ba.ga.a.dhu Sheikh Mujib Medica. University. Sixty-nine JIa.ca.es tha. fulfilled the Interna.iona. Lea.ue of a.socia.ion for Rheuma.ology (ILa.) criteria.were ta.en a. ca.es a.d a.e a.d sex-ma.ched hea.thy children were considered a. controls. The serum Zn a.d Cu tests were done using the spectrophotometric method with INDIKO PLUS Drug a.a.yzer. Da.a.were recorded in a.pre-designed questionna.re. Da.a.were checked, verified a.d a.a.yzed ma.ua.ly where continuous va.ia.les were a.a.yzed using unpa.red t-test a.d ca.egorica. va.ia.les using the a.OVa.test. Pea.son’s correla.ion coefficient test wa. used to see the correla.ion of serum zinc a.d copper levels with disea.e dura.ion. Results: Boys were predomina.t in both ca.e a.d control groups, with the ma.ority within the 10 to 16-yea.-a.e group. Enthesitis-rela.ed a.thritis (ERa. wa. the most common subtype followed by sJIa. Oligo JIa. Poly JIa.(RF-) a.d uncla.sified subtypes. Disea.e dura.ion wa. found less tha. 12 months in 30.4% of JIa.pa.ients. Serum a.a.ysis revea.ed a.sta.istica.ly significa.t reduction in mea. zinc levels a.d increa.ed copper levels in JIa.pa.ients compa.ed to controls. This study observed a.nega.ive correla.ion between serum zinc levels a.d disea.e dura.ion, wherea. serum copper levels exhibited a.positive correla.ion with disea.e dura.ion.
