High energy consumption has seriously hindered the development of Fenton-like reactions for the removal of refractory organic pollutants in *** solve this problem,we designed a novel Fenton-like catalyst(Cu-PAN3)by coprecipitation and carbon thermal *** catalyst exhibits excellent Fenton-like catalytic activity and stability for the degradation of various pollutants with low H_(2)O_(2)*** experimental results indicate that the dual reaction centers(DRCs)are composed of Cu-N-C and Cu-O-C bridges between copper and graphene-like carbon,which form electron-poor/rich centers on the catalyst surface.H_(2)O_(2)is mainly reduced at electron-rich Cu centers to free radicals for pollutant ***,pollutants can be oxidized by donating electrons to the electron-poor C centers of the catalyst,which inhibits the ineffective decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)at the electron-poor *** therefore significantly reduces the consumption of H_(2)O_(2)and reduces energy consumption.

Photoinduced ligand-to-metal charge transfer(LMCT) has emerged as an effective strategy for synthesizing organic molecules in a sustainable manner. However, the majority of existing reports on selective C(sp^(3))–H bond functionalization via photoinduced LMCT focus on the use of late transition metals or rare-earth metals for radical additions or cross-couplings. In contrast, the utilization of photoinduced LMCT with 3d early transition metals poses a significant challenge. Herein, we describe an unprecedented approach to allylic C(sp^(3))–H addition to aldehydes, employing chromium(Cr) complexes as catalysts through visible-light-induced LMCT. By investigating the reaction pathway through various mechanistic studies, including radical trapping, kinetic isotope effect(KIE) analysis, and transient absorption spectroscopy, valuable insights have been gained. The proposed mechanism suggests the intermediacy of bromine radicals through homolysis of the Cr–Br bond. Notably, this protocol expands our understanding of the photochemical properties of earth-abundant Cr complexes.

Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus(L. bulgaricus) and Streptococcus thermophilus(S. thermophilus) are commonly used starters in milk fermentation. Fermentation experiments revealed that L. bulgaricus-S. thermophilus interactions(LbSt I) substantially impact dairy product quality and production. Traditional biological humidity experiments are time-consuming and labor-intensive in screening interaction combinations, an artificial intelligence-based method for screening interactive starter combinations is necessary. However,in the current research on artificial intelligence based interaction prediction in the field of bioinformatics, most successful models adopt supervised learning methods, and there is a lack of research on interaction prediction with only a small number of labeled ***, this study aimed to develop a semi-supervised learning framework for predicting LbSt I using genomic data from 362 isolates(181per species). The framework consisted of a two-part model: a co-clustering prediction model(based on the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) dataset) and a Laplacian regularized least squares prediction model(based on K-mer analysis and gene composition of all isolates datasets). To enhance accuracy, we integrated the separate outcomes produced by each component of the two-part model to generate the ultimate LbSt I prediction results, which were verified through milk fermentation experiments. Validation through milk fermentation experiments confirmed a high precision rate of 85%(17/20; validated with 20 randomly selected combinations of expected interacting isolates). Our data suggest that the biosynthetic pathways of cysteine, riboflavin, teichoic acid, and exopolysaccharides, as well as the ATP-binding cassette transport systems, contribute to the mutualistic relationship between these starter bacteria during milk fermentation. Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)have emerged as a promising high-efficiency energy storage system due to the high energy density,low-cost and environmental ***,the practical application of AZIBs is severely restricted by the challenges faced by the Zn anode,which include uncontrollable dendrite growth,corrosion and hydrogen evolution ***,a simple and convenient physical vapor deposition(PVD)method is reported for fabricating uniform graphite as a protection layer on the surface of Zn *** high conductivity graphite layer on Zn anode(denoted as Zn@C)not only benefits the uniform distribution of the electric field,but also provides numerous Zn nucleation sites to regulate and navigate Zn-ion stripping/plating ***,the graphite layer with a poor catalytic activity endows the Zn@C anode with a highly suppressed hydrogen ***,a hydrogen and dendrite free anode is achieved with artificial anticatalytic carbon layer on Zn anode,exhibiting a high reversibility and excellent cycling stability over 2600 h at the current density of 5 mA·cm^(-2)with a capacity of 2.5 mAh·cm^(-2)and longtime cycling stability for assembled full *** work strategically designs the properties of the artificial interface layer to effectively address various challenges simultaneously,which presents insights for the future development of high-performance rechargeable AZIBs.
