Harmonic analysis of satellite altimetry data based on a global regular grid is affected by the grid spatial tessellation and placement of the *** the increase of latitude,the traditional lat/lon grid deforms greatly,resulting in uneven distribution of satellite altimeter data with latitude,which affects the extraction of tidal ***,Hexagonal grids have been proved to be advantageous due to their isotropic,uniform neighbourhood,equal-area and *** the merits above,the purpose of this paper is to use the global equal-area hexagonal grid to conduct a harmonic analysis of satellite altimeter ***,the Icosahedron Snyder Equal Area projection method is used to construct a global equal-area hexagonal grid,Then the time series data of 19.8 years of Jason series satellite altimeter data are ***,the harmonic constants of eight constituents(the M2,S2,N2,K2,K1,O1,P1,Q1)are extracted by harmonic *** analysing the results,we conclude that the harmonic constants extracted from the global equal-area hexagonal grid have considerable accuracy and are consistent with the tidal characteristics of the eight ***,the accuracy of harmonic constants extracted from equal-area hexagonal grids is better than that of lat/lon grids.

To analyze the effect of the region of the model inputs on the model output,a novel concept about contribution to the sample failure probability plot(CSFP) is proposed based on the contribution to the sample mean plot(CSM) and the contribution to the sample variance plot(CSV).The CSFP can be used to analyze the effect of the region of the model inputs on the failure *** the definition of CSFP,its property and the differences between CSFP and CSV/CSM are *** proposed CSFP can not only provide the information about which input affects the failure probability mostly,but also identify the contribution of the regions of the input to the failure probability *** employing the Kriging model method on optimized sample points,a solution for CSFP is *** computational cost for solving CSFP is greatly decreased because of the efficiency of Kriging surrogate *** examples are used to illustrate the validity of the proposed CSFP and the applicability and feasibility of the Kriging surrogate method based solution for CSFP.

This paper considers the simultaneous attack problem of multiple missiles against a maneuvering target. Different from most of the existing literature in which the simultaneous attack problem is formulated as a consensus problem of missiles＇ time-to-go estimates, this paper formulates it as the consensus problem of missiles＇ ranges-to-go. Based on this strategy, novel distributed guidance laws are proposed to solve the simultaneous attack problem with the target of unknown *** control method is introduced to estimate the upper bound of the target＇s acceleration. The effectiveness of the proposed guidance laws is verified both theoretically and numerically.

The prediction of reactor antineutrino spectra will play a crucial role as reactor experiments enter the precision *** positron energy spectrum of 3.5 million antineutrino inverse beta decay reactions observed by the Daya Bay experiment,in combination with the fission rates of fissile isotopes in the reactor,is used to extract the positron energy spectra resulting from the fission of specific *** information can be used to produce a precise,data-based prediction of the antineutrino energy spectrum in other reactor antineutrino experiments with different fission fractions than Daya *** positron energy spectra are unfolded to obtain the antineutrino energy spectra by removing the contribution from detector response with the Wiener-SVD unfolding *** results are obtained with other unfolding methods.A technique to construct a data-based prediction of the reactor antineutrino energy spectrum is proposed and *** the reactor fission fractions,the technique can predict the energy spectrum to a 2%*** addition,we illustrate how to perform a rigorous comparison between the unfolded antineutrino spectrum and a theoretical model prediction that avoids the input model bias of the unfolding method.

Optimization of hydrothermal pretreatment for co-utilization of xylose and glucose of cassava anaerobic residue for producing ethanol

The development of a process that could recover biofuel from industrial cellulose waste can not only reduce the negative environmental impacts by using fossil fuels, but also bring a green idea for the waste’s disposing. In this study, hydrothermal pretreatment was optimized for cassava anaerobic residue, a cellulosic waste from cassava ethanol industry, to co-utilize xylose and glucose for producing bioethanol. The effect of the main pretreatment conditions, namely, temperature, solid content and time, was explored for the highest recovery of xylose in prehydrolysate and glucose in enzymatic hydrolysate. The single factor experiment results showed that the conditions for maximum xylose recovery in prehydrolysate and glucose recovery in enzymatic hydrolysate were 60℃, 75 min, 10% solids and 160℃, 75 min, 10% solids, respectively. Whereafter, response surface methodology(RSM) was applied to further optimize the pretreatment conditions for the maximum theoretical ethanol production through utilizing both xylose and glucose. A treatment at 163℃, for 59 min and with 9.5%solids was found optimal, with the highest ethanol production of 20.2 mg·g^-1 raw material. Furthermore, in order to assess the impacts of the pretreatment on cassava anaerobic residue, the changes in crystallinity and morphology for untreated and pretreated solids were investigated.

To assess the interaction effect between cadmium (Cd) and 17-estradiol (E2),male Chinese loaches (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) were exposed to E2 (1 g/l) and Cd (50 or 500 g/l) alone and in combination using a semi-static waterborne exposure *** effects of E2 on the accumulation and distribution of Cd,as well as the effects of Cd on vitellogenin (Vtg) synthesis induced by E2,were *** mainly accumulated in the kidneys,liver,intestines,and gills,with little amounts in muscles,bones,and ***-exposure with E2 did not change the main targets for Cd.E2 could induce Vtg synthesis in male Chinese loaches,and co-exposure with 50 or 500 g/l Cd could inhibit the Vtg induced by 1 g/l *** with the results reported in the literature,it can be concluded that factors such as fish species,Cd dosage,and manner of exposure might make contributions to the interaction between Cd and *** results also suggested that male Chinese loaches are susceptible to Cd,and can be recommended as a potential sentinel species to study the ecotoxicology of heavy metals.

In this paper, toughness properties and microstructurc of low-alloyed multipass welds with yield strength above 700MPa have 6een studied using the weld thermal simulation and throughout thickness CTOD fracture mechanics tests. Impact testing of thermal simulated specimens showed that the primary weld metal and the fine gmmed weld metal had good toughness, while the coarse grained weld metal had the lowest toughness value as the local brittle zone (lBZ) in multipass weld metals. Cleavage fracture in CTOD testing of thick multipass weld metals was initiated from martensite-austenite (MA) phases in the lBZ. MA phases were distributed at the prior austenite grain boundaries and around ferrite grains. As the size of the local brittle zone along the fatigue crack front increases, CTOD frncture toughness of multipass weld metals decreases. The weakest link theory was used to evaluate effect of the local brittle zone on fracture toughness of thick multipass weld metals. The estimated curves agree well with the eaperimental data.

A fog monitor, hotplate total precipitation sensor, weather identifier and visibility sensor, ultrasonic wind speed meter,an icing gradient observation frame, and an automated weather station were involved in the observations at the lushan Meteorological Bureau of Jiangxi Province, China. In this study, for the icing process under a cold surge from 20–25 January2016, the duration, frequency, and spectrum distribution of agglomerate fog were analyzed. The effects of rain, snow, and supercooled fog on icing growth were studied and the icing and meteorological conditions at two heights(10 m and 1.5 m)were compared. There were 218 agglomerate fogs in this icing process, of which agglomerate fogs with durations less than and greater than 10 min accounted for 91.3% and 8.7%, respectively. The average time interval was 10.3 min. The fog droplet number concentration for sizes 2–15 μm and 30–50 μm increased during rainfall, and that for 2–27 μm decreased during snowfall. Icing grew rapidly(1.3 mm h-1) in the freezing rain phase but slowly(0.1 mm h-1) during the dry snow phase. Intensive supercooled fog, lower temperatures and increased wind speed all favored icing growth during dry snow(0.5 mm h-1). There were significant differences in the thickness, duration, density, and growth mechanism of icing at the heights of 10 m and 1.5 m. Differences in temperature and wind speed between the two heights were the main reasons for the differences in icing conditions, which indicated that icing was strongly affected by height.

Fog Computing is a new platform that can serve mobile devices in the local area. In Fog Computing, the resources need to be shared or cached in the widely deployed Fog clusters. In this paper, we propose a Steiner tree based caching scheme, in which the Fog servers, when caching resources, first produce a Steiner tree to minimize the total path weight(or cost) such that the cost of resource caching using this tree could be minimized. Then we give a running illustration to show how the Fog Computing works and we compare the traditional shortest path scheme with the proposed one. The outcome shows that the Steiner tree based scheme could work more efficiently.
