Background: Anemia during pregnancy is associated with oxidative stress, which might expectedly provoke harmful consequences on maternal and perinatal outcomes. Use of iron in women during pregnancy improves maternal hematologic parameters, while likely to worsen oxidative status. Objectives: Our study thus aimed to assess adverse outcomes on all women having been routinely iron supplemented during pregnancy. Methods: this is a prospective observational cohort of 74 pregnant women with singleton pregnancy whose baseline iron and oxidative status along with variations throughout pregnancy have been recently assessed at university clinics of Kinshasa, DR Congo. Obstetrical adverse outcomes were assessed according to the diagnosis of anemia and oxidative stress considered at recruitment, at 28 - 32 weeks of gestation and at term. 节流分离法是天然气脱水脱烃处理中常用的技术,了解天然气节流过程中的凝结规律有非常重要的意义。研究天然气凝析液中含量较多的正戊烷组分的凝结规律,基于正戊烷的凝结特点建立自发凝结和异质凝结流动统一的数值模型,对正戊烷气体在节流阀内的节流凝结过程进行数值模拟。数值计算结果表明节流时不足以达到正戊烷自发凝结的临界过饱和度,节流阀内只发生异质凝结。正戊烷在节流孔入口即凝结,凝结时间很短,在节流孔内凝结基本完成。研究发现异质凝结时外界核心的初始颗粒半径,初始颗粒浓度和背压比等因素对凝结性质有很大影响。初始颗粒半径和浓度增加时,液滴生长速度减缓,但节流孔出口的凝结液滴质量增大。背压比增加使凝结液滴的生长速率,液滴尺寸和和凝结质量同时减小。

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) service may damage the interests of Internet Service Provider (ISP) because P2P traffic usually takes a lot of network link bandwidth and even overwhelms some network links. Aimed at the problem, mainstream solutions are usually optimizing P2P traffic through the interaction between applications and underlying network. However, current solutions still have two aspects of defects: one is that the interacted underlying network status information is immutable and can’t reflect the real-time dynamic changes because it is usually configured by ISP. the other is that some solutions may cause excessive traffic localization, which may greatly influence other services in the local network. In order to improve the above two defects and provide P2P users with better service experience, we propose an enhanced application layer traffic optimization scheme, in which more valuable network status information of underlying network is dynamically calculated and provided to P2P application. Extensive simulations demonstrate that our P2P traffic optimization scheme is superior to other solutions in terms of available bandwidth, resource transmission delay and user service experience.

In the framework of searching for new pectin sources to partially compensate for domestic and regional demands, the peel (albedo) of the “non-comestible” fruit of Poncirus trifoliata was investigated using a relatively simple experimental design for optimization, in which only the variable was the extraction pH (1.0, 1.5, and 2.0) on the basis of our previous studies on diverse pectin sources. the results showed that the yield of pectin (7.4%-19.8%) was strongly influenced by the extraction pH when the other parameters, namely the solid to liquid extractant (S/l) ratio, temperature (t °C), and time (t) were fixed to 1:25 (w/v), 75°C, and 90 min, respectively. likewise, the galacturonic acid content (GalA: 61.4%-79.2%), total neutral sugar content (tNS: 9.1%-22.5%), degree of branching (3.5%-13.9%), homogalacturonan (HG) to rhamnogalacturonan-I (RG-I) ratio (2.2-5.6), degree of methylesterification (DM: 54-77), viscosity average molecular weight (Mν: 57-82), and gelling capacity (GC: 124-158) were all affected by the extraction pH. the optimum pH for producing pectin with good yield, quality characteristics (GalA > 65%, DM > 60, Mν > 80 kDa), and gelling capacity (GC > 150), from the peel of P. trifoliata fruit, was found to be pH 1.5.

thyroid abnormalities have been reported in persons with HIV infection, although data have been inconsistent with respect to its frequency and association with specific medications. the purpose of this study was to explore thyroid system response to thyroid releasing hormone stimulation in persons with and without HIV infection and determine the extent to which their response was associated with depression. As part of a larger study of neuroendocrine response persons with HIV-1 infection, control and HIV-1 infected individuals were evaluated. Participants' response to tRH stimulation was evaluated via tSH, total t3, and t4 levels at baseline and 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes after tRH stimulation. Participants with HIV infection had a more robust response to tRH stimulation as measured by higher levels of tSH, lower levels of t4 and modestly higher levels of t3. Depressed persons had a reduced tSH response to stimulation and lower levels of both t4 and t3, although the effect of depression on t4 was not statistically significant. these results suggest that tSH response to tRH-stimulation may be exaggerated in individuals with HIV infection but reduced in those with depression. they also suggest that the effects of depression and HIV infection may interact, and may provide a partial explanation for observed thyroid abnormalities in HIV-infected individuals. Results thus provide a partial explanation for findings on thyroid and depression in those affected by HIV infection.

为给柴胡栏子金矿原选矿流程中全泥氰化工艺的改造提供可行的理论支撑,采用化学分析、矿物自动分析仪分析、扫描电子显微镜分析、X射线能谱分析、光学显微镜分析等测试手段,对内蒙古赤峰柴胡栏子金矿进行详细的工艺矿物学研究,明确其化学组成、矿物组成、粒度分布及有用矿物的嵌布特征关系。结果表明:该金矿中金品位为2.83 g/t。金主要以银金矿的形式存在,主要脉石矿物为石英、绿帘石、绿泥石、绢云母、方解石。金矿中的矿物组成十分复杂且脉石矿物嵌布粒度极细,属于细粒石英脉型金矿。银金矿以包裹金、粒间金和裂隙金的形式产出。黄铁矿和磁黄铁矿为金的主要载体矿物,分布率分别为41.61%、23.77%。综合工艺矿物学结果,最终提出了采用分段磨矿,重—浮联合回收金的绿色环保选矿工艺流程。

Context: Despite the new recommendations “test and treat”, the virological and molecular parameters remain important information for Antiretroviral treatment and adequate for monitoring of patients infected with HIV/AIDS. Objective: the Objective of this study is to present the virological and molecular profile of People living with HIV starting Antiretroviral therapy in Kinshasa in the era of the Dolutegravir. Methods: this was a transversal study to determine virological and molecular profile of People living with HIV (PlHIV) starting an ARV treatment. the patient’s inclusion period was from October 04, 2021 to February 15, 2022. A sample of 5 ml of blood was taken in a tube with EDtA anticoagulant for Molecular Biology analyzes (Viral load and Sequencing) in all HIV patients, after reading and signing informed consent. the population was made up of adult patients over the age of 18, infected with HIV and starting ARt. Results: 119 patients (56.3% of women) were included in this study, thus a sex-ratio of 1.29. the average age of patients included was 39.87 ± 12.36 years. the most represented age group is that of 36 to 45 with 37 patients (31.9%) followed by that from 26 to 35 years with 24 patients (20.7%). Out of 119 patients, 21 patients had an undetectable Viral load (Vl). the median value of Vl was 4.16 log10 RNA copies/ml. 114 samples were successfully amplified. Subtype A was dominant with 23 cases (20.2%);followed by the subtype C and CRF02_AG each with 14.0%, and D (10.5 %). K65R (1.8%), t69P/N (4.4%), K70R (7.9%) and M184V (7.0%) mutations were listed as existing mutations for Nucleotide transcriptase Inhibitors. Conclusion: 38 patients (31.93%) started the tARV with a positive virological prognosis. the subtype A remains dominant in Kinshasa with 23 cases (20.2%);followed by the subtype C and CRF02_AG each with 14.0%. Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) has an elevated mortality rate, largely because of high recurrence and metastasis. Additionally, the main obstacle during treatment of HCC is that patients usually develop resistance to *** drug resistance involves many different mechanisms, including alterations in drug metabolism and processing, impairment of the apoptotic machine, activation of cell survival signaling, decreased drug sensitivity and autophagy, among others. Nowadays, miRNAs are emerging as master regulators of normal physiology-and tumor-related gene expression. In HCC,aberrant expression of many miRNAs leads to chemoresistance. Herein, we particularly analyzed miRNA impact on HCC resistance to drug therapy. Certain miRNAs target ABC(AtP-binding cassette) transporter genes. As most of these miRNAs are downregulated in HCC, transporter levels increase and intracellular drug accumulation decrease, turning cells less sensitive to death. Others miRNAs target autophagy-related gene expression, inhibiting autophagy and acting as tumor suppressors. Nevertheless, due to its downregulation in HCC, these miRNAs do not inhibit autophagy or tumor growth and, resistance is ***, modulation of ABC transporter and/or autophagy-related gene expression or function by miRNAs could be determinant for HCC cell survival under chemotherapeutic drug treatment. Undoubtedly, more insights on the biological processes, signaling pathways and/or molecular mechanisms regulated by miRNAs are needed. Anyway, miRNA-based therapy together with conventional chemotherapeutic drugs has a great future in cancer therapy.
