the need to combine various metals in light-weight constructions requires the development of coatings that prevent galvanic corrosion. layered double hydroxides(lDHs) can be an example of such coatings, which were previously successfully obtained in situ on individual materials. in addition, the possibil.ty of lDH growth(including lDH growth in the presence of chel.ting agents) on the surface of plasma electrol.tic oxidation(PEO)-coated metals was previously shown. this PEO + lDH combination could improve both corrosion and mechanical characteristics of the system. the possibil.ty of lDHs formation in situ on the surface of PEO-coated friction stir welded(FSW) magnesium-aluminum materials(AZ31/AA5754 system was selected as a model one) was demonstrated in the presence of 1,3-diamino-2-hydroxypropane-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid(DHPtA) as a chel.ting agent, which was selected based on analysis of respective metal-ligand compounds stabil.ty. lDHs growth was achieved under ambient pressure without addition of carbonates in the electrol.te. the effectiveness of the resulting coating is shown both for corrosion resistance and hardness.

BACKGROUND the evaluation of periportal fibrosis(PPF)is essential for a prognostic assessment of patients with Schistosomiasis *** WHO Niamey Protocol defines patterns of fibrosis from abdominal ultrasonography,^(1)H-nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)-based metabonomics has been employed to assess liver fibrosis in some *** to build 1H-NMR-based metabonomics models(MM)to discriminate mild from significant periportal PPF and identify differences in the metabol.te *** A prospective cross-sectional study was performed on schistosomiasis patients at a University Hospital in Northeastern *** evaluated 41 serum samples from 10 patients with mild PPF(C Niamey pattern)and 31 patients with significant PPF(D/E/F Niamey patterns).MM were built using partial least squares-discriminant analysis(PlS-DA)and orthogonal projections to l.tent structures discriminant analysis(OPlS-DA)*** PlS-DA and OPlS-DA resulted in discrimination between mild and significant PPF groups with R2 and Q2 values of 0.80 and 0.38 and 0.72 and 0.42 for each model,*** OPlS-DA model presented accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity values of 92.7%,90.3%,and 100%to discriminate significant *** metabol.tes identified as responsible by discrimination were:Nacetylglucosamines,alanine,glycolaldehyde,carbohydrates,and *** MMs discriminated mild from significant PPF patterns in patients with Schistosomiasis mansoni through identification of differences in serum metabol.tes profiles.

Vegetable oil production from oil palm(Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)is an important industry due to the rising demand every *** somatic embryogenesis culture can propagate oil palm duplicate as parent plant,which can be selected as breeding material.to produce new planting germplasm with high production or disease *** study aims to evaluate the genotypic effect of somatic embryogenesis,while immature leafl.ts were employed as *** culture used embryo induction medium based on Murashige and Skoog(MS)modifications that contained 5 mg/l Naphthalene Acetic acid(NAA)and 0.5 mg/l Benzyl Amino Purine(BAP).the genotypic effect was statistically significant in the percentage of callus induction,producing somatic embryos,and germination *** this study,we successfully cloned thirteen oil palm genotypes(GE-02,GE-03,GE-06,GE-07,GE-09,GE-23,GE-24,GE-27,GE-28,GE-32,GE-33,GE-34,and GE-35),with the highest number of somatic embryos formed on GE-27 with a percentage of 70.1%.the cloning was successful in accelerating the propagation of oil palm for materials breeding programs to create new varieties with high production and disease *** is necessary to observation the performance of these clones in the field in terms of mantle flower appearance.

CD4^(+)t cells can"help"or"license" conventional.type 1 dendritic cells(cDC1s)to induce CD8^(+)cytotoxic t lymphocyte(Ctl)anticancer responses,as proven in mouse *** recently identified cDC1s with a transcriptomic imprint of CD4^(+)t-cell help,specifically in t-cell-infiltrated human cancers,and these cells were associated with a good prognosis and response to PD-1-targeting ***,we delineate the mechanism of cDC1 licensing by CD4^(+)t cells in *** CD4^(+)t cells produce iFNβvia the StiNG pathway,which promotes MHC-i antigen(cross-)presentation by cDC1s and thereby improves their abil.ty to induce Ctl anticancer *** cooperation with CD40 ligand(l),iFNβalso optimizes the costimul.tory and other functions of cDC1s required for Ctl response ***-i-producing CD4^(+)t cells are present in diverse t-cell-infiltrated cancers and likely deliver“help”signals to Ctls locally,according to their transcriptomic profile and colocalization with“helped/licensed”cDCs and tumor-reactive CD8^(+)t *** agreement with this scenario,the presence of iFN-i-producing CD4^(+)t cells in the tME is associated with overall survival and the response to PD-1 checkpoint blockade in cancer patients.

Atrial fibrill.tion(AF)is the most common arrhythmia in the elderly and its incidence increases with aging.[1]Electrical cardioversion is used as a strategy for rhythm control in patients with supraventricular *** octagenarians,there are challenges associated with the indication for electrical cardioversion,such as the use of appropriate sedation and anticoagulant *** decisions in clinical practice for these patients derive from observational data and personal experience,since octagenarians represent a minority of patients included in randomized clinical *** evidence is available regarding the clinical context of electrical cardioversion in this vulnerable ***,we aimed to describe the clinical profile of octagenarians undergoing electrical cardioversion in a cardiology reference center from 2014 to 2018.
