The joint European Space Agency and Chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere link Explorer(SMIlE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the SMIlE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMIlE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMIlE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science Working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online SMIlE Data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the SMIlE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

Introduction:Impulse oscillometry(IOS)employs high frequency sinusoidal or impulse pressure and flow waveforms to interrogate the mechanical properties of the respiratory *** has special applications to preschool and younger chil.ren who may have difficulty performing the repetitive forced expiratory maneuvers required for *** presentation:We present a case illustrating improvements of respiratory system mechanics measured by IOS in a 6-year-old child with cystic fibrosis(CF)who demonstrated clinical and radiological improvement after a course of therapy with hospitalization and intravenous antibiotics,and initiation of a cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator(CFTR)protein corrector/potentiator *** also report a new finding:observed lower than expected reactance at low compared to high frequencies("reactance inversion").Conclusion:Reactance inversion may reflect parallel pathway inhomogeneities in resistance and elastance or intrabreath airway inertance changes in young chil.ren with *** study is needed in chil.ren with airway obstruction due to asthma,cystic fibrosis,and chronic lung disease of infancy to demonstrate the prevalence of this finding and whether it is specific to a measurement device.

Viscoelastic Properties and Bioactivity of Sol-Gel Derived Gelatin-Silicate Composites: Effects of the Incorporated Ca^(2+) Ions

Several gelatin-silicate composites, with or without incorporation of Ca2+ ions, were synthesized through sol-gel processing starting from gelatin and 3- (glycidoxypropyl) trimethoxysilane. The structure around the Si atoms was similar for all the samples. The measurement of viscoelastic properties indicated that the glass transition temperature and activation energy decreased with the incorporation of Ca2+ ions. The Ca2+ ion-containing composites were bioactive as they spontaneously deposited apatite when soaked in a simulated body fluid of the Kokubo recipe.

甲酸乙酯对三种主要仓储害虫的熏蒸作用

为明确甲酸乙酯对仓储害虫的实际控制效果,避免二氧化碳对熏蒸作用的影响,该研究利用循环熏蒸系统(FTFS),测定甲酸乙酯对米象、赤拟谷盗、谷蠹三种主要仓储害虫混合虫态的熏蒸作用。结果表明:在25℃、70%RH条件下,甲酸乙酯43.34、80.72、99.08、117.74、146.49mg/l熏蒸处理6h,对赤拟谷盗和谷蠹混合虫态有很好的控制作用,死亡率大于95.96%;甲酸乙酯80.72、99.08、117.74、146.49mg/l处理对米象混合虫态的杀虫效果较好。甲酸乙酯对米象蛹的杀虫效果较差。

In the face of increasingly serious environmental pollution,the health of human lung tissues is also facing serious *** IIE(M2E)is the main metabolite of sweetening agents mogrosides from the anti-tussive Chinese herbal Siraitia *** study elucidated the anti-inflammatory action and molecular mechanism of M2E against acute lung injury(AlI).A lipopolysaccharide(lPS)-induced AlI model was established in mice and MH-S cells were employed to explore the protective mechanism of M2E through the western blotting,co-immunoprecipitation,and quantitative real time-PCR *** results indicated that M2E alleviated lPS-induced lung injury through restraining the activation of secreted phospholipase A2 type IIA(Pla2g2a)-epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR).The interaction of Pla2g2a and EGFR was identified by *** addition,M2E protected AlI induced with lPS against inflammatory and damage which were significantly dependent upon the downregulation of AKT and m TOR via the inhibition of ***2g2a may represent a potential target for M2E in the improvement of lPS-induced lung injury,which may represent a promising strategy to treat AlI.

A FAS approach for stabilization of generalized chained forms: part 1. Discontinuous control laws

In this paper, a type of general nonholonomic systems is proposed, which contains both the Brockett’s two example systems, and their extended n-dimensional chained forms, as special cases. For the stabilization of such systems, a stabilizing controller is proposed based on the fully actuated system(FAS)approach, which is discontinuous at the origin but time-invariant when the open-loop system is time-invariant,and drives the feasible trajectories of the system to the origin exponentially. Furthermore, the proposed FAS approach is also extended to the sub-normal system case and the time-delay system case.

In this paper, continuous time-varying stabilizing controllers for the type of general nonholonomic systems proposed and treated in part 1 are designed using the fully actuated system(FAS) approach. The key step is to differentiate the first scalar equation, and by control of the obtained second-order scalar system, a proportional plus integral feedback form for the first control variable is obtained. With the solution to this designed second-order scalar system, the rest equations in the nonholonomic system form an independent time-varying subsystem which is then handled by the FAS approach. The overall designed controller contains an almost arbitrarily chosen design parameter, and is proven to guarantee the uniformly and globally exponential stability of the closed-loop system. The proposed approach is simple and effective,and is demonstrated with a practical example of ship control.

RNF26 up-regulates PD-l1 to regulate the cancer immune response in ccRCC

Background: Clear cell.renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) stands as the most prevalent form of kidney cancer, accounting for a significant proportion of malignancies affecting the kidneys. ccRCC is well known as a type of tumour with immunogenicity. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) aim to enhance the anticancer immune response in ccRCC by blocking programmed cell death 1 ligand 1/programmed death 1 (PD-l1/PD-1) pathways. In a previous study, we showed that RING finger protein 26 (RNF26) degrades chromobox 7 (CBX7) to activate the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in ccRCC. Methods: We analyzed The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database using the R package ESTIMATE and found that RNF26 was significantly associated with ccRCC immune infiltration. The relationship between RNF26 and the PD1 checkpoint signaling pathway was detected by enrichment analysis. In addition, the molecular mechanism of RNF26 up-regulation of PD-l1 was detected by transcriptome sequencing, RT-qPCR, and Western Blot in ccRCC cell lineages 786-O and A498 cells. The transplantation tumor experiments in C57Bl/6 mice were used to test the efficacy of anti-PD1 and knockdown of RNF26 in vivo. Results: We showed that RNF26 suppressed the immune response to ccRCC. Next, we revealed that RNF26 activated the PD-1 checkpoint pathway to suppress the immune response to ccRCC, possibly via the CBX7/PD-l1 axis. Conclusion: The suggestion derived from our results is that targeting RNF26 holds the potential to amplify the efficacy of anticancer immunotherapies in the treatment of ccRCC.

Resilient control of flexible hypersonic vehicles against unmatched distributed faults

This paper studies a robust fault compensation and vibration suppression problem of flexible hypersonic *** controlled plant is represented by a cascade system composed of a nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equation(ODE)and an Euler-Bernoulli Beam Equation(EBBE),in which the vibration dynamics is coupled with the rigid dynamics and suffers from distributed faults.A state differential transformation is introduced to transfer distributed faults to an EBBE boundary and a longitudinal dynamics is refined by utilizing T-S fuzzy IF-THEN rules.A novel T-S fuzzy based fault-tolerant control algorithm is developed and related stability conditions are *** robust exponential stability and well-posedness are proved by using the modified l_(0)-semigroup based lyapunov direct approach.A simulation study on the longitudinal dynamics of flexible hypersonic vehicles effectively verifies the validity of the developed theoretical results.

By refueling aircraft while they are in flight,aerial refueling is an efficient technique to extend their endurance and *** Aerial Refueling(AAR)is anticipated to be used to complete aerial refueling for unmanned *** are three aerial refueling methods:the Probe-and-Drogue Refueling(PDR)refueling method,the flying-boom refueling method,and the boom-drogue-adapter refueling *** paper considers the PDR approach,the most challenging of the three,because the flexible hose-drogue assembly has fast dynamics and is susceptible to various kinds of winds,which makes the probe docking with the drogue *** is divided into four phases,namely the rendezvous phase,joining phase,refueling phase,and reform phase,with the refueling phase being the most *** controller design faces the greatest challenge during the docking control of the refueling phase since it calls for a high level of safety,precision,and *** a result,the modeling and control issues encountered during the refueling phase are typical and *** fundamental idea of AAR is presented in the paper first,after which the characteristics and requirements of AAR are *** progress in modeling and control techniques for the AAR’s refueling phase is then systematically ***,potential future work for high safety,precision,and efficiency requirements is examined and suggested.
