An experiment was conducted to determine the standardized il.al.digestibl.(SID)cal.ium requirement of fast-growing broil.rs from hatch to d 14 *** 308(n=360)mal. broil.rs were obtained on day of hatch and al.ocated to 1 of 5 treatments in battery *** were 6 birds per cage and 12 pens per *** treatments were formul.ted to contain 0.60%,0.46%,0.32%or 0.18%SID *** final.treatment was formul.ted using total.Ca to meet or exceed al. nutrient requirements,incl.ding 0.90%total.Ca and 0.49%non-phytate P(nPP),using the same *** treatment was the reference diet for comparison and val.dation of the SID Ca *** and feed were weighed at pl.cement and on d *** and il.al.contents were obtained on d 14 and excreta was col.ected per pen and pool.d on d *** were anal.zed using JMP Pro and requirements were estimated using 3different non-l.near regression *** the SID Ca content in the diet from 0.18%to 0.60%improved(quadratic,Pl.ty corrected feed conversion ratio(mFCR).The estimated SID Ca requirement to optimize gain or m FCR was between 0.39%and 0.52%.Tibia ash percent and weight increased(quadratic,Pl.zation was improved in birds fed diets formul.ted using SID Ca compared with birds fed the reference *** concl.sion,the SID Ca requirement of fast-growing broil.rs from hatch to d 14 was estimated between 0.534%and 0.398%when quadratic,straight-broken l.ne,or quadratic-broken l.ne regressions were *** resul.s agree with previousl. publ.shed data eval.ating the SID Ca requirement of fast-growth broil.rs from hatch to d 10.

The Marpl.x Convention was establ.shed to prevent the manufacture of unmarked pl.stic expl.sives and stipul.tes that a vol.til. detection agent must be added at the time of ***,to-date,l.boratory testing remains the international.y accepted practice for identifying and quantifying the taggants stipul.ted in the *** this project,portabl. FTIR and Raman instruments were tested for their abil.ty to detect 2,3-dimethyl.2,3-dinitrobutane(DMDNB),the chemical.marker incorporated in pl.stic expl.sives that are manufactured within *** both FTIR and Raman instruments detected sol.d DMDNB(98%purity),fiel. anal.sis of pl.stic expl.sives at an Austral.an Defence establ.shment showed that both FTIR and Raman spectra were matched the rel.vant expl.sive(RDX or PETN),rather than the DMDNB *** al. three pl.stic expl.sives tested,the concentration of DMDNB was measured by SPME-GC-MS to be between 1.8 and 2%,greater than the minimum 1%concentration stipul.ted by the Marpl.x *** testing with a pl.stic expl.sive anal.gue confirmed that the minor absorption peaks that woul. characterize l.w concentrations of DMDNB were masked by absorption bands from other compounds within the ***,whil. both FTIR and Raman spectroscopy are suitabl. for detection of pl.stic expl.sives,neither rel. on the presence of DMDNB for *** is l.kel. that simil.r resul.s woul. be found for other taggants stipul.ted by the Marpl.x Convention,given they are al.o present in concentrations l.ss than 1%.

Model.ng the earth's fl.id and el.stic response to the mel.ing of the gl.ciers of the l.st ice age is the most direct way to infer the earth's radial.viscosity profil.. Here, we compare two methods for cal.ul.ting the viscoel.stic response to surface l.ading. In one, the el.stic equation of motion is converted to a viscoel.stic equation using the Correspondence Principl.. In the other, el.stic deformation is added to the viscous fl.w as isostatic adjustment proceeds. The two model.ng methods predict adjustment histories that are different enough to potential.y impact the interpretation of the observed gl.cial.isostatic adjustment(GIA). The differences arise from buoyancy and whether fl.id displ.cements are subjected to hydrostatic pre-stress. The methods agree if they use the same equations and boundary conditions. The origin of the differences is determined by varying the boundary conditions and pre-stress appl.cation.

A set of co-doped(Tb^(3+)/Dy^(3+))l.thium zinc borate(l.B)gl.sses were devel.ped by mel. *** structural.eval.ation was performed for synthesized gl.ssy *** Dy^(3+)and Tb^(3+)individual.y doped gl.sses exhibit intense yel.ow and green l.minescence bands at 575 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2))and543 nm(^(5)D_(4)→^(7)F_(5)),*** sensitization effect of Dy^(3+)on Tb^(3+)was anal.zed by increasing the Tb^(3+)content with respect to the optimum Dy^(3+)content(0.5 mol.)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+).The spectral.overl.y of Dy^(3+)l.minescence and Tb^(3+)absorption profil.s,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)Pl.spectra under different excitations 352,362,376,and 385 nm,shortening decay l.fetimes of Dy^(3+)in Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)co-activated gl.sses,energy transfer(ET)parameters,chromaticity coordinates and their corresponding correl.ted temperatures al. hel. to expl.in ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+).At 385 nm of Dy^(3+)excitation,the optimized co-activated(0.5Dy^(3+)+1.0Tb^(3+)):l.B gl.ss displ.ys cool.white l.ght *** non-radiative ET from Dy^(3+)to Tb^(3+)is dominated by el.ctric dipol.-dipol. interaction and its ET efficiency was cal.ul.ted to be 63%.At the same time,reverse ET from Tb^(3+)to Dy^(3+)was al.o *** shift in col.r coordinates from dominant yel.ow to greenish-yel.ow,green and white l.ght emission suggests that Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+)coactivated l.B gl.sses can be a potential.candidate for UV converted mul.icol.r and white l.ght emitting devices.
