Physical properties such as the conductivity are usually classified according to the symmetry of the underlying system using Neumann’s principle, which gives an upper bound for the number of independent components of the corresponding property tensor. However, for a given Hamiltonian, this global approach usually can not give a definite answer on whether a physical effect such as spin Hall effect (SHE) exists or not. It is found that the parity and types of spin-orbit interactions (SOIs) are good indicators that can further reduce the number of independent components of the spin Hall conductivity for a specific system. In terms of the parity as well as various Rashba-like and Dresselhaus-like SOIs, we propose a local approach to classify SHE in two-dimensional (2D) two-band models, where sufficient conditions for identifying the existence or absence of SHE in all 2D magnetic point groups are presented.

The reservoir landslide undergoes periodic saturation-drying cycles affected by reservoir fluctuation in hydropower project area， leading to the irreversible impact on the landslide materials. Sliding zone is the shearing part in formation of landslide and controls the further development of landslide. The mechanical behavior of sliding zone soil under compression is a crucial factor in the stability analysis in landslide. In this paper， the sliding zone soil from a giant landslide in the biggest hydropower project area， Three Gorges area， is taken as the research case. The particle-size distribution of the sliding zone soil from this landslide is studied and fractal dimension is adopted as representation. Periodic saturation-drying is introduced as the affecting factor on sliding zone soil properties. The triaxial compression test is conducted to reveal the mechanical behavior of the soil， including stress-strain behavior， elastic modulus， failure stress and strength parameters. These behavior of sliding zone soils with different fractal dimensions are studied under the effects of periodic saturation-drying cycles. The normalized stress-strain curves are displayed for further calculation. The data considering saturation-drying cycles are obtained and compared with the experimental results.

A new self-starting drainage anchor that combines prestressed anchor cables with self-starting drainage is proposed. The novelty of the self-starting drainage method is the realization of the drainage and anchoring in the one inclined borehole. Reduction in the number of boreholes can greatly decrease the construction cost and duration of the project. The adverse effect of drilling construction disturbance on the slope is reduced. To tackle the possible blockage of the drainage cavity due to slurry leakage during the solidification process after finishing grouting in the blocking section. To this end， a theoretical equation for the slurry diffusion radius under slurry self-weight pressure boundary conditions is deduced. The result is verified for precision through comparison with numerical simulation. The findings reveal that the permeability coefficient of rock and soil mass makes the most significant impact on the slurry diffusion radius， succeeded by the length of the grouting blocking section， slurry initial setting time， and drilling inclination in descending order of influence. With the 5% mass ratio of a "711" type slurry quick-setting agent， the maximum slurry diffusion radius can be reduced from 0.925m to 0.449m， a reduction of 0.476m， which is comparatively more recommended.

Drought can greatly impact the biodiversity of an ecosystem and play a crucial role in regulating its ***,the specific mechanisms by which drought mediate the biodiversity effect(BE)on community biomass in above-and belowground through functional traits remain poorly ***,we conducted a common garden experiment in a greenhouse,which included two plant species richness levels and two water addition levels,to analyze the effects of biodiversity on aboveground biomass(AGB),belowground biomass(BGB)and total biomass(TB),and to quantify the relationship between BEs and functional traits under drought *** analysis focused on partitioning BEs into above-and belowground complementarity effect(CE)and selection effect(SE)at the species level,which allowed us to better understand the impacts of biodiversity on community biomass and the underlying *** results showed that plant species richness stimulated AGB,BGB and TB through *** decreased AGB,BGB and TB,*** addition,the aboveground CE was positively associated with the variation in plant *** in above-and belowground were negatively correlated with the community mean plant height and root length,***,drought weakened the aboveground CE by decreasing variation in plant height,resulting in a reduction in AGB and *** findings demonstrate that the complementarity of species is an important regulator of community biomass in above-and belowground,the dynamics of biomass under environmental stress are associated with the response of sensitive compartments.

Amino-functionalized UiO-66-doped mixed matrix membranes with high permeation performance and fouling resistance

For the reduction of bovine serum proteins from wastewater,a novel mixed matrix membrane was prepared by functionalizing the substrate material polyaryletherketone(PAEK),followed by carboxyl groups(C-SPAEKS),and then adding amino-functionalized UiO-66-NH_(2)(Am-UiO-66-NH_(2)).Aminofunctionalization of UiO-66 was accomplished by melamine,followed by an amidation reaction to immobilize Am-UiO-66-NH_(2),which was immobilized on the surface of the membrane as well as in the pore channels,which enhanced the hydrophilicity of the membrane surface while increasing the negative potential of the membrane *** nanoparticle-loaded ultrafiltration membrane has good permeation performance,with a pure water flux of up to 482.3 l·m^(-2)·h^(-1) for C-SPAEKS/AmUiO-66-NH_(2) and a retention rate of up to 98.7%for bovine serum albumin(BSA)-contaminated ***,after several hydrophilic modifications,the flux recovery of BSA contaminants by this series of membranes increased from 56.2%to 80.55%of pure *** results of ultra-filtration flux time tests performed at room temperature showed that the series of ultrafiltration membranes remained relatively stable over a test time of 300 ***,the newly developed mixed matrix membrane showed potential for high efficiency and stability in wastewater treatment containing bovine serum proteins.

Due to the typical intercalation-deintercalation mechanism,TiO_(2) holds great promise as a sustainable anode for next-generation lithium-ion batteries(lIBs).However,commercial TiO_(2)(C–TiO_(2))is granular and shows slow ionic conductivity,which greatly hinders its development due to sluggish kinetics,leading to low reversible capacity and inferior rate *** this study,a two-dimensional layered TiO_(2)(l-TiO_(2))anode is prepared via a one-step calcination process,which can effectively shorten the lithium ions diffusion path and improve its lithium ions *** elucidated the enhanced electrochemical performance of l-TiO_(2) as an anode in lIBs through pseudocapacitive acceleration of lithium ions intercalation and deintercalation using various characterization techniques,including different scan rate cyclic voltammetry tests,in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,in situ Raman spectroscopy,and in situ X-ray *** comparison to C–TiO_(2) material,l-TiO_(2) material showcases remarkable electrochemical performance,achieving a capacity of 166 mAh/g after 100 cycles at 0.1 ***,the lithium-ion diffusion coefficient calculated for the l-TiO_(2) is two orders of magnitude greater,underscoring its potential as a negative electrode material for lIBs.

Artemisinin(ART)resistance has been an emerging clinical problem,severely compromising antimalarial efficacy and threatening the global malaria elimination *** intensive studies about the molecular mechanism for ART resistance are under way,no effective therapeutic targets for reversing resistance have been ***,we explore glutathione(GSH)as a therapeutic target to develop a thermo-responsive nanoplatform to specifically co-deliver ART and GSH synthesis inhibitor(l-buthionine sulfoximine,BSO)in a sustained manner,effectively reversing ART resistance in *** combining with BSO,ART exerts increased antimalarial activity with reduced half-maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)by 7.43-fold in ART-resistant *** work reveals that the GSH in ART-resistant parasites can be a promising therapeutic target for reversing ART resistance,paving the way for developing drug candidates and intelligent nanomedicines in malaria therapy.

Chlorpyrifos is a pesticide widely used in agricultural production with a relatively long residual half-life in *** the problem of residual chlorpyrifos is of universal *** this study,rice hull biochar was used as an immobilized carrier to prepare the immobilized strain H27 for the remediation of chlorpyrifos-contamination *** microorganisms after remediation were investigated by ecotoxicological *** immobilized strain H27 had the highest removal rate of chlorpyrifos when 10%bacterial solution was added to the liquid medium containing 0.075-0.109 mm diameter biochar cultured for 22 *** study on the removal of chlorpyrifos by immobilized strain H27 showed that the initial concentration of chlorpyrifos in solution was 25mg/l,and the removal rate reached 97.4%after 7 days of *** the soil,the removal rate of the immobilized bacteria group increased throughout the experiment,which was significantly higher than that of the free bacteria and biochar treatment *** Biolog-ECO test,T-RFlP and RT-RCR were used to study the effects of the soil microbial community and nitrogen cycling functional genes during chlorpyrifos *** was found that ICP group had the highest diversity index among the four treatment *** microflora of segment containing 114 bp was the dominant bacterial community,and the dominant microflora of the immobilized bacteria group was more evenly *** influence of each treatment group on ammonia-oxidizing bacteria(AOB)was greater than on ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA).This study offers a sound scientific basis for the practical application of immobilized bacteria to reduce residual soil pesticides.
