This study evaluates the effectiveness of phase change materials(PCMs) inside a storage tank of warm water for solar water heating(SWH) system through the theoretical simulation based on the experimental model of *** et *** model is explained by five fundamental equations for the calculation of various parameters like the effectiveness of PCMs,the mass of hot water,total heat content,and duration of *** study simulated eleven PCMs to analyze their effectiveness like Sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate(SHPD),OM 37,n-Eicosane(nE),lauric acid(lA),Paraffin wax(PW),OM 48,Paraffin wax C_(20-33)(PW-C20-33),Sodium acetate trihydrate(SAT),Palmitic acid(PA),Myristic acid(MA),and Stearic acid(SA).Among all PCMs,the SHPD has found the highest value of effectiveness factor of ***,it is the most recommended PCM for the storage tank of the SWH *** study also includes the melt fraction analysis of all enumerated PCMs corresponding to container materials of stainless steel,glass,aluminum mixed,tin,aluminum,and *** melt fraction analysis is performed by making a coding program in the FORTRAn programming *** the analysis,copper container material is found to have high melting rate for all PCMs so it is superior to other container materials.

Cadmium(Cd),a life threatening hazardous heavy metal is abundant in *** amounts are greater in leaves than other plant parts,and it shows considerable effects on *** oxide(nO),a free radical present in living organisms,is now known as an important signaling molecule playing various physiological processes in *** this study,the possible ameliorative effect of nO on photosynthesis was examined on pea seedlings grown under Cd *** showed that chlorophyll,net photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate,stomatal conductance,photochemical efficiency of Photosystem II and Photosystem I decreased,and Fo and nonphotochemical parameters for PSII and PSI significantly increased due to Cd *** suggests that Cd affects the photochemistry efficiency at both the PSII and PSI *** oxide supplementation through SnP ameliorated Cd stress by enhancing all the above mentioned parameters but causing a reduction in the Fo,and non-photochemical parameters of PSII and PSI in pea *** data indicate that the exogenous application of nO was useful in mitigating Cd-induced damage to photosynthesis in pea seedling.

This paper presents exact free vibration analysis of stress free (or rigidly fixed), thermally insulated (or isothermal), transradially isotropic thermoelastic hollow sphere in context of generalized (non-classical) theory of thermoelasticity. The basic governing equations of linear generalized thermoelastic transradially isotropic hollow sphere have been uncoupled and simplified with the help of potential functions by using the Helmholtz decomposition theorem. Upon using it the coupled system of equations reduced to ordinary differential equations in radial coordinate. Matrix Frobenius method of extended series has been used to investigate the motion along the radial coordinate. The secular equations for the existence of possible modes of vibrations in the considered sphere are derived. The special cases of spheroidal (S-mode) and toroidal (T-mode) vibrations of a hollow sphere have also been deduced and discussed. The toroidal motion gets decoupled from the spheroidal one and remains independent of the both, thermal variations and thermal relaxation time. In order to illustrate the analytic results, the numerical solution of the secular equation which governs spheroidal motion (S-modes) is carried out to compute lowest frequencies of vibrational modes in case of classical (CT) and non-classical (lS, Gl) theories of thermoelasticity with the help of MATlAB programming for the generalized hollow sphere of helium and magnesium materials. The computer simulated results have been presented graphically showing lowest frequency and dissipation factor. The analysis may find applications in engineering industries where spherical structures are in frequent use.

Some of the modern electronic and optoelectronic devices exploit ferrofluids contained in narrow gaps between two material plates. When the width of the gap becomes below a micrometer, the boundary plates are subjected to the Casimir force arising from the zero-point and thermal fluctuations of the electromagnetic field. These forces should be taken into account in microdevices with the dimensions decreased to below a micrometer. In this paper, we review recently performed calculations of the attractive Casimir pressure in three-layer systems containing a ferrofluid. We also find the ferrofluidic system where the Casimir pressure is repulsive. This result is obtained in the framework of the fundamental lifshitz theory of van der Waals and Casimir forces. The conclusion is made that enhanced repulsion due to the presence of a ferrofluid may prevent from sticking of closely spaced elements of a microdevice.

A highly selective and sensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry （lC-MS/MS） assay has been described for the determination of asenapine （ASE） in presence of its inactive metabolites n-desmethyl asenapine （DMA） and asenapine-n-glucuronide （ASG）. ASE, and ASE 13C-d3, used as internal standard （IS）, were extracted from 300 μl human plasma by a simple and precise liquid-liquid extraction procedure using methyl tert-butyl ether. Baseline separation of ASE from its inactive metabolites was achieved on Chromolith Performance RPse （100 mm ×4.6 mm） column using acetonitrile- 5.0 mM ammonium acetate-10% formic acid （90：10：0.1, v/v/v） within 4.5 min. Quantitation of ASE was done on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer equipped with electrospray ionization in the positive mode. The protonated precursor to product ion transitions monitored for ASE and ASE 13C-d3 were m/z 286.1 → 166.0 and m/z 290.0 → 166.1, respectively. The limit of detection （lOD） and limit of quantitation （lOQ） of the method were 0.0025 ng/ml and 0.050 ng/ml respectively in a linear concentration range of 0.050-20.0 ng/ml for ASE. The intra-batch and inter-batch precision （% CV） and mean relative recovery across quality control levels were 〈 5.8% and 87.3%, respectively. Matrix effect, evaluated as IS-normalized matrix factor, ranged from 1.03 to 1.05. The stability of ASE under different storage conditions was ascertained in presence of the metabolites. The developed method is much simpler, matrix free, rapid and economical compared to the existing methods. The method was suc- cessfully used for a bioequivalence study of asenapine in healthy Indian subjects for the first time.

This study demonstrates the influence of the Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio in precursor solution on the crystal structural formation,morphology,physical properties,and photocatalytic performance of a Ag_(3)PO_(4)photocatalyst that is fabricated,using a facile precipitation method,from AgnO_(3)and na2HPO_(4)·12H_(2)*** material characterizations were carried out using x-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EDX),Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)surface area,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)absorption,Raman scattering,x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(Pl).The results show that Ag_(3)PO_(4)crystallizes better when the excess PO_(4)^(3-)content increases,and the lattice parameters decrease slightly,while the crystal diameter and the particle size *** change is also observed in the Raman scattering and FTIR spectra with the increase in the vibration frequency of the[PO_(4)]*** compression of the[PO_(4)]unit was also confirmed in the XPS spectra with the shift of P 2p peaks toward higher binding *** photocatalytic results showed that the samples synthesized from excess PO_(4)^(3-)solution exhibited higher photocatalytic performance compared to the sample with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.A sample prepared from the precursor solution with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.5 was optimal for RhB decomposition under both visible light and natural sunlight,completely decomposing 10 ppm RhB after 15 minutes of xenon lamp irradiation and after 60 minutes under solar light *** is attributed to the high crystallinity,small particle size and low electron–hole recombination rate of the sample.

Background:The purpose of the study was to determine the advantages and disadvantages of epi-on corneal crosslinking(CXl)techniques compared with standard epi-off ***:We searched MEDlInE and EMBASE for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and non-randomized studies of interventions(nRSIs)and we evaluated the selected papers according to the Cochrane risk of bias *** considered,as primary outcomes,average Kmax flattening,changes in uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuity(UDVA and CDVA);as secondary outcomes,we considered changes in pachymetry values and endothelial cell density(ECD).We also investigated adverse events related to the treatments and treatment ***-analysis was conducted with a fixed or random-effects model using weighted mean difference(MD)with 95%confidence interval(CI)as the effect ***:A total of 15 studies were included and among these 15 trials,9 were RCTs and 6 were nRSIs,but only 4 studies showed no high risk of bias and were included in this *** analysis revealed significant postoperative differences in CDVA(MD=0.07;95%CI 0.04 to 0.10;Pnd no significative differences in UDVA,Kmax,central corneal thickness(CCT)and ECD(P>0.05).Epi-on CXl protocol was found to be significantly less prompt to have risks of delay in epithelial healing(P=0.035)and persistent stromal haze(P=0.026).Conclusion:Epi-on CXl is as effective as epi-off *** for a higher significant improvement in CDVA with current epi-on protocols,our meta-analysis demonstrates that epi-on and epi-off CXl have comparable effects on visual,topographic,pachymetric,and endothelial ***-on CXl has clinical advantages in terms of comfort and avoidance of complications as it reduces the risk of developing delay in epithelial healing and persistent stromal haze.
