Environmental benefits and farmers' adoption of winter cover crops in the North China Pl.in

The introduction of cover crops into monoculture systems to improve soil health has been widely adopted worldwide. However, little is known about the environmental risks and application prospects of different cover crops in spring maize(Zea mays l.) monocultures proposed in the North China Pl.in. A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of different winter cover crops on subsequent maize yield, soil fertility, and environmental risks of nitrogen(N) loss, and a questionnaire survey was conducted to examine factors influencing farmers' wil.ingness to adopt cover crops in the North China Pl.in. Based on the same fertilization regime during the maize growing period, four winter cover crop treatments were set up, including bare fallow, hairy vetch(Vicia villosa Roth.), February orchid(Orychophragmus violaceus), and winter oilseed rape(Brassica campestris l.). The results indicated that winter cover crops significantly increased subsequent maize yield and soil organic carbon, total N, and microbial biomass carbon and N compared with the bare fallow *** incorporation of cover crops led to a negligible increase in nitrous oxide(N_(2)O) emissions and had a very limited effect on ammonia(NH_(3)) *** incorporation of February orchid and winter oilseed rape decreased nitrate leaching compared with the hairy vetch treatment in the maize growing *** N losses via N_(2)O and NH_(3) emissions and N leaching accounted for 71%–84% of the N surplus. However, yield increase and environmental benefits were not the main positive factors for farmers to accept cover crops. Financial.incentive was rated by 83.9% of farmers as an “extremely important” factor, followed by other costs, when considering winter cover cropping. These results indicate that the environmental benefits depend on the type of cover crop. Maintaining high levels of soil fertility and maize yield, providing sufficient subsidies, and encouraging large-area cul.ivation of cover crops

Benefit of aerosol reduction to winter wheat during China's clean air action:A case study of Henan Province

Changes in annual radial growth is an important indication of climate change. Dendroclimatology studies in northern China have focused on linear statistical analysis,but lacking studies based on the process of ring formation to clarify the radial growth of trees. Tree-ring width standard chronology(STD) was established using samples of larix principis-rupprechtii collected at 2303 m al.itude on luya Mountain. Using the Vaganov-Shashkin(VS) model to simulate growth and development, the internal physiological mechanism of radial growth is identified. it was concluded that:(1) the growing season of l. principis-rupprechtii was May to September;(2) soil moisture was a significant factor in the early and late growing seasons, and temperature was the dominant factor in its main growth period;and(3) formation of narrow ring widths was closely related to drought stress, the development of wide ring widths will be restricted by increasing future temperatures. The VS model.is applicable for radial growth simulation of subal.ine coniferous forests and for guiding the cul.ivation of local tree species in the future.

Numerical Study on the Effect of Gap Diffraction on the Hydrodynamic Performance of A Floating Breakwater

Test Case Generation Evaluator for the implementation of Test Case Generation Algorithms Based on learning to Rank

in software testing,the quality of test cases is crucial,but manual generation is *** automatic test case generation methods exist,requiring careful selection based on program *** evaluation methods compare a limited set of metrics,which does not support a larger number of metrics or consider the relative importance of each metric to the final *** address this,we propose an evaluation tool,the Test Case Generation Evaluator(TCGE),based on the learning to rank(l2R)*** previous approaches,our method comprehensively evaluates algorithms by considering mul.iple metrics,resul.ing in a more reasoned *** main principle of the TCGE is the formation of feature vectors that are of concern by the *** training,the feature vectors are sorted to generate a list,with the order of the methods on the list determined according to their effectiveness on the tested *** implement TCGE using three l2R algorithms:listnet,lambdaMART,and *** employs a dataset with features of classical test case generation algorithms and three metrics—Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain(NDCG),Mean Average Precision(MAP),and Mean Reciprocal Rank(MRR).Results demonstrate the TCGE’s superior effectiveness in evaluating test case generation algorithms compared to other *** the three l2R algorithms,RFlambdaMART proves the most effective,achieving an accuracy above 96.5%,surpassing lambdaMART by 2%and listnet by 1.5%.Consequently,the TCGE framework exhibits significant application value in the evaluation of test case generation algorithms.

Development and Validation of an impedimetric Sensor Modified with Molecularly imprinted Polymer for Direct Determination of Bisphenol A in Bioanalytics

ShCTR1 interacts with ShRBOH1 to Positively Regulate Aerenchyma Formation in Saussurea inversa through ROS Mediation

Two-dimensional(2D)Ruddlesden-Popper(RP)halide perovskites with diverse structures and properties have drawn increasing attention due to their promising optoelectronic ***,a new all.inorganic Cs_(2)Pb(SCN)_(2)Br_(2) has been reported that opens up new potential for the development of 2D RP ***,recent reports of unusual dual emissions and two-edge absorption in Cs_(2)Pb(SCN)_(2)Br_(2) have generated intense debate about its origin and remains ***,by combining continuous pressure tuning with in situ diagnostics,we have unambiguously revealed the underl.ing mechanisms that the 2D Cs_(2)Pb(SCN)_(2)Br_(2) exhibits an intrinsic blue emission at 2.66 eV and an absorption edge close to the emission *** the gradually formed CsPbBr_(3) is responsible for the green emission at 2.33 eV with the absorption shoulder at 2.41 ***,by fitting the temperature-dependent intensity of the intrinsic blue emission,we have determined the corrected value of exciton binding energy for 2D Cs_(2)Pb(SCN)_(2)Br_(2) to be 90 ***,an emission enhancement of 2.5 times is achieved in Cs_(2)Pb(SCN)_(2)Br_(2) under a mild pressure within 0.8 GPa,caused by the pressuresuppressed exciton-phonon *** work not only elucidates the origin of the dual emissions and two-edge absorption in Cs_(2)Pb(SCN)_(2)Br_(2),but it also provides a potential means to regulate and optimize the optoelectronic properties of 2D perovskites.
