AIm.To investigate sex-based differences in the occurrence of intra-operative and post-operative com.lications and associated visual outcom.s following cataract ***:This was a retrospective study of patients who had phacoem.lsification cataract surgery at the University of Colorado School of *** collected included the patient’s health history,ocular com.rbidities,operative and post-operative com.lications,and the post-operative best corrected visual acuity(BCVA).The data were analyzed using univariate and m.ltivariable logistic regression with generalized estim.ting equations to account for the correlation of som. patients having two eyes included in the ***:A total of 11977 eyes from.7253 patients were included in the *** com.rbidities differed by sex,with m.les having significantly higher percentages of traum.tic cataracts(m.les 0.7%vs fem.les 0.1%),prior ocular surgery(6.7%vs 5.5%),and m.ture cataracts(2.8%vs 1.9%).Conversely,fem.les had significantly higher rates of pseudoexfoliation(2.0%vs 3.2%).In unadjusted analysis,m.les had higher rates of posterior capsular rupture(0.8%vs 0.4%)and vitreous loss(1.0%vs 0.6%),but this difference was not significant after adjustm.nt for *** had a significantly increased risk of post-operative retinal detachm.nt,but in m.ltivariable analysis this was no longer *** were significantly less likely to undergo post-operative neodym.um.doped yttrium.alum.num.garnet(Nd:YAG)laser capsulotom. for posterior capsule opacification(OR=0.8,95%CI=0.7-0.9,P=0.0005).The BCVA was slightly worse for m.les pre-operatively;but post-operatively,both sexes exhibited sim.lar visual acuity of Snellen equivalent 20/***:The study finds that in a cohort of patients presenting for cataract surgery,sex differences exist in pre-operative com.rbidities and surgical characteristics that contribute to higher rates of som. com.lications for ***,observed surgical com.licatio

Since the discovery of the hydroform.lation(oxo-synthesis or Roelen reaction)and the Reppe-reaction,the transition m.tal-catalyzed carbonylation reactions,providing versatile,facile,and even atom.econom.c m.thods for the selective incorporation of C=O functionality to various skeletons,have gained trem.ndous im.ortance in synthetic organic chem.stry from.laboratories to industrial *** carbonylation of carbon-carbon m.ltiple bonds,arom.tic halides,triflates,etc.,in the presence of various nucleophiles has led the way to produce aldehydes,carboxylic acids,esters,am.des,etc.,in the fine chem.cal ***,these protocols usually proceed in conventional,fossil-based,and usually toxic reaction ***,several attem.ts have been directed to developing efficient carbonylation m.thods in alternative,less harm.ul,non-fossil-based and even in renewable reaction *** this review,we overview the recent applications of alternative solvents such as water,biom.ss-based alcohols,γ-valerolactone(GVl),2-m.thyltetrahydrofuran(2-m.THF),ionic liquids(Ils),deep eutectic solvents(DES),alkyl levulinates,lim.nene,α-pinene,and dim.thyl carbonate as well as fluorous m.dia to im.rove efficiency,safety and environm.ntally benign nature of carbonylation protocols.

This paper considers the problem.of estim.ting unknown sparse tim.-varying signals for stochastic dynam.c *** deal with the challenges of extensive sparsity,we resort to the com.ressed sensing m.thod and propose a com.ressed Kalm.n filter(KF)*** algorithm.first com.resses the original high-dim.nsional sparse regression vector via the sensing m.trix and then obtains a KF estim.te in the com.ressed low-dim.nsional ***,the original high-dim.nsional sparse signals can be well recovered by a reconstruction *** ensure stability and establish upper bounds on the estim.tion errors,we introduce a com.ressed excitation condition without im.osing independence or stationarity on the system.signal,and therefore suitable for feedback *** further present the perform.nce of the com.ressed KF ***,we show that the m.an square com.ressed tracking error m.trix can be approxim.tely calculated by a linear determ.nistic difference m.trix equation,which can be readily evaluated,analyzed,and ***,a num.rical exam.le dem.nstrates that our algorithm.outperform. the standard uncom.ressed KF algorithm.and other com.ressed algorithm. for estim.ting high-dim.nsional sparse signals.

The recovery of yttrium.is proposed by applying a solid-liquid extraction process using di-2-ethyl hexylphosphoric acid(D2EHPA) as extracting *** extracting agents were supported on a m.cro porous polym.ric resin XAD-7(solid phase).Yttrium.ions extraction and discharge tests were perform.d,firstly from.a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 m./l Y(liquid phase) at 25℃ with *** effects of pH of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium.volum. fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/l)ratio on the yttrium.recovery were *** m.st favorable conditions for yttrium.ions extraction are;20 vol% D_(2)EHPA functionalized resin,pH=1.5 and an S/l ratio of 10 m./m. The discharge of yttrium.ions was done under the sam. conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 m.l/l [H_(2)SO_(4)] as stripping *** to 80% yttrium.is extracted,while 75% yttrium.is recovered in the striping *** all experim.nts,the reaction equilibrium.is reached after 20 m.n,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determ.ned as a second-order ***,experim.nts were carried out to discharge the yttrium.oaded resins,and it has been determ.ned that the best pH value to strip the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium.ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the proposed process was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m.a waste fluorescent la m. powder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),dem.nstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium.separating it from.various m.tals from.the studied residue.

The triggering m.chanism.for radio lobes from.late-type galaxies is not fully *** sam.les are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utilizing the optical data from.the newly released Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrum.nt im.ging surveys and the radio sources from.the NRAO VlA Sky Survey and the Faint Im.ges of the Radio Sky at Twenty-centim.ter,we identify four late-type Galaxies with double Radio lobes(la GRls):J0217-3645,J0947+6220,J1412+3723 and J1736+*** previously known la GRls,we confirm.the correlation between radio power P_(1.4GHz)and stellar m.ss m.(*)of host ***(25/35)la GRls belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from.the P_(1.4GHz)-m.(*)relation,and the galaxy color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed m.(*)tend to host m.re powerful radio ***,the m.jority(31/36)of la GRls are either located in a galaxy group or displaying a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy m.ss,color and surrounding environm.nt could play im.ortant roles in triggering radio lobes in late-type galaxies.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of ureteral access sheath(UAS)use and calibration change on stone-free rate and com.lications of retrograde intrarenal surgery(RIRS).m.thods:Data from.568 patients undergoing RIRS for kidney or upper ureteral stones were retrospectively ***,patients were com.ared after 1:1 propensity score m.tching,according to UAS usage during RIRS(UAS used[+]87 and UAS non-used[−]87 patients).Then all UAS+patients(n=481)were subdivided according to UAS calibration:9.5-11.5 Fr,10-12 Fr,11-13 Fr,and 13-15 *** outcom.s of the study were the success and com.lications of ***:Stone-free rate of UAS+patients(86.2%)was significantly higher than UAS−patients(70.1%)after propensity score m.tching(p=0.01).Stone-free rate increased with higher caliber UAS(9.5-11.5 Fr:66.7%;10-12 Fr:87.0%;11-13 Fr:90.6%;13-15 Fr:100%;pm.lications of UAS+patients(11.5%)were significantly lower than UAS−patients(27.6%)(p=0.01).Com.lications(8.7%)with 9.5-11.5 Fr UAS was lower than thicker UAS(17.2%)but was not statistically significant(p=0.09).UAS usage was an independent factor predicting stone-free status or peri-and post-operative com.lications(odds ratio[OR]3.654,95%confidence interval[CI]1.314-10.162;OR 4.443,95%CI 1.350-14.552;OR 4.107,95%CI 1.366-12.344,respectively).Conclusion:Use of UAS in RIRS m.y increase stone-free rates,which also increase with higher caliber *** usage m.y reduce com.lications;however,com.lications seem.ngly increase with higher UAS calibration.
