Tailoring precipitation/properties and related mechanisms for a high-strength aluminum alloy plate via low-temperature retrogression and re-aging processes

The retrogression and re-aging(RRA)processes,aimed mainly at tailoring intergranular precipitates,could significantly improve the corrosion resistance(i.e.,stress corrosion cracking resistance)without considerably decreasing the strength,which signifies that an efficient control of the size,distribution and evolution of intergranular and intragranular precipitates becomes critical for the integrated properties of the(mid-)thick high-strength Al alloy *** to RRA process with retrogression at200℃ (T77),this study investigated the impact of a modified RRA process(MT77)with lower retrogression temperatures(155-175℃ )and first-stage under-aging on the properties of a high-strength AA7050 Al alloy,in combination with detailed precipitate *** study showed that the strength/microhardness of the RRA-treated alloys decreased with raising retrogression temperature and/or prolonging retrogression time,along with the increased electrical *** rapid responsiveness of microstructure/property typical of retrogression at 200℃ was obviously postponed or decreased by using MT77 process with longer retrogression time that was more suitable for treating the(mid-)thick *** the other hand,higher retrogression temperature facilitated more intragranularηprecipitates,coarse intergranular precipitates and wide precipitate free zones,which prominently increased the electrical conductivity alongside a considerable strength loss as compared to the MT77-treated *** the preferred MT77 process,the high strength approaching T6 level as well as good corrosion resistance was ***,though a relatively homogeneous through-thickness strength was obtained,some small discrepancies of properties between the central and surface areas of an 86-mm thick 7050 Al alloy plate were observed,possibly related to the quenching *** precipitate evolution and mechanistic connection to the properties were discussed and reviewed for high-strengt

Open clusters(OCs)are infrequent survivors of embedded clusters gestated in molecular *** to now,little is known about the initial conditions for the formation of ***,we studied this issue using high-precision astrometric parameters provided by gaia data release *** statistics show that the peculiar motion velocities of OCs vary slightly from infancy to old age,providing a remarkable opportunity to use OCs to trace their *** a dynamical method,we derived the masses of the progenitor clumps where OCs were born,which have statistical characteristics comparable to previously known results for clumps observed in the ***,the masses of the progenitor clumps of OCs indicate they should be capable of gestating massive O-type *** fact,after inspecting the observed OCs and O-type stars,we found that there are many O-type stars in *** destructive stellar feedback from O-type stars may disintegrate the vast majority of embedded clusters,and only those sufficiently dense ones can survive as OCs.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched lQR *** particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value *** method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing *** numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Modeling and Performance Analysis of UAV-Aided Millimeter Wave Cellular Networks with Stochastic geometry

UAV-aided cellular networks,millimeter wave(mm-wave) communications and multi-antenna techniques are viewed as promising components of the solution for beyond-5g(B5g) and even 6g *** leveraging the power of stochastic geometry,this paper aims at providing an effective framework for modeling and analyzing a UAV-aided heterogeneous cellular network,where the terrestrial base stations(TBSs) and the UAV base stations(UBSs) coexist,and the UBSs are provided with mm-wave and multi-antenna *** modeling the TBSs as a PPP and the UBSs as a Matern hard-core point process of type Ⅱ(MPH-Ⅱ),approximated but accurate analytical results for the average rate of the typical user of both tiers are derived through an approximation method based on the mean interference-to-signal ratio(MISR) *** influence of some relevant parameters is discussed in detail,and some insights into the network deployment and optimization are *** results show that some trade-offs are worthy of being considered,such as the antenna array size,the altitude of the UAVs and the power control factor of the UBSs.

Flowering time and growth period are key agronomic traits which directly affect soybean(glycine max(l.)Merr.)adaptation to diverse latitudes and farming *** FlOWERINg lOCUS T(FT)homologs gmFT2a and gmFT5a integrate multiple flowering regulation pathways and significantly advance flowering and maturity in *** the genes responsible for regulating gmFT2a and gmFT5a will improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing growth period in *** this study,we identified the Nuclear Factor Y-C(NFY-C)protein gmNF-YC4 as a novel flowering suppressor in soybean under long-day(lD)***-YC4 delays flowering and maturation by directly repressing the expression of gmFT2a and *** addition,we found that a strong selective sweep event occurred in the chromosomal region harboring the gmNF-YC4 gene during soybean *** gmNF-YC4Hap3 allele was mainly found in wild soybean(glycine soja Siebold&Zucc.)and has been eliminated from *** landraces and improved cultivars,which predominantly contain the gmNF-YC4Hap1 ***,the gmnf-yc4 mutants displayed notably accelerated flowering and maturation under lD *** alleles may prove to be valuable genetic resources for enhancing soybean adaptability to higher latitudes.

Observational signatures of rotating black holes in the semiclassical gravity with trace anomaly

In a recent work by Fernandes[***.D 108(6),l061502(2023)],an exact stationary and axisymmetric solution was discovered in semiclassical gravity with type-A trace *** was identified as a quantum-corrected version of the Kerr black *** this study,we explore the observational signatures of this black hole *** investigation reveals that prograde and retrograde light rings exist,whose radii increase monotonically with the coupling parameterα.Whenαis negative,the shadow area for the quantum-corrected black hole is smaller than that of the Kerr black hole,whereas whenαis positive,the area is *** a near-extremal black hole,its high-spin feature(the NHEKline)is found to be highly susceptible to disruption byα.Furthermore,we discuss the images of the quantum-corrected black hole in the presence of a thin accretion disk and compare them to those of the Kerr black *** study highlights the importance of near-horizon emission sources in detecting the effects of quantum corrections by black hole images.
