This study inve.tigate. the.e.fe.ts of sil.con and sil.con carbide.particl.s conte.ts on the.the.mal. hardne.s and microstructural.be.aviour of Al.Si-SiCp composite.. 16 sampl.s of the.composite.produce. by stir casting te.hnique.we.e.of sil.con conte.ts of 1, 2, 3 and 4% by we.gh, and sil.con carbide.conte.ts of 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2% by we.ght for e.ch composition of sil.con. e.ch of the.sampl.s we.e.subje.te. to homoge.izing anne.l.ng he.t tre.tme.t. Diffe.e.tial.the.mal.anal.sis (DTA), hardne.s te.t and microstructural.anal.sis we.e.the. pe.forme. on the.sampl.s from e.ch composition. The.re.ul.s obtaine. showe. that the.hardne.s of the.composite.incre.se. gradual.y as the.sil.con and sil.con carbide.particl.s conte.t incre.se.. The.micrographs obtaine. re.e.l.d the.pre.e.ce.of sil.con carbide. sil.con pre.ipitate. and al.minium carbide.(Al.C3) within the.me.al.ic matrix. The.amounts of the.e.phase. varie. with the.sil.con and sil.con carbide.conte.t. Al. the.sampl.s gave.DTA curve. with major e.dothe.mic pe.ks be.we.n 550 – 570℃ and two se.s of e.othe.mic pe.ks be.we.n 580 – 610℃ for the.first se. and be.we.n 565 – 570℃ for the.se.ond se.. It was infe.re. from the.study that al.hough varie. sil.con and sil.con carbide.conte.ts affe.te. the.the.mal. hardne.s and microstructural.be.aviour of the.Al.Si-SiCp composite., the.variation of the.SiCp conte.t had a more.pronounce. e.fe.t on the.hardne.s val.e.of the.Al.Si-SiCp composite.

This study is a contribution to improving rice.productivity on acidic pl.te.u soil. of the.tropical.rainfore.t zone. It is base. on taking into account the.cationic bal.nce. of the.soil.in orde. to optimize.the.phosphorus (P) nutrition of rice.on the.e.acidic soil., whe.e.this nutrie.t constitute. a l.miting factor for agricul.ural.production. Thre. (3) pot trial. we.e.conducte. in Adiopodoumé in the.fore.te. south of Côte.d’Ivoire. The.inte.active.e.fe.ts of cal.ium carbonate.(0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Ca ha−1) and magne.ium sul.ate.(0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Mg ha−1) we.e.e.al.ate. on the.re.ponse.of Ne.ICA 5 rice.at dose. 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg P ha−1 of natural.phosphate.from Togo, appl.e. onl. once.at the.start of the.e.pe.ime.t. Additional.fe.til.ze.s of nitroge. (N) (100 kg N ha−1) and potassium (K) (50 kg KCl.ha−1) we.e.adde. to e.ch of the.te.ts in a spl.t-pl.t de.ice. The.te.t re.ul.s re.e.l.d a paddy production pote.tial.of approximate.0} 3 to 5 t⋅ha−1 for Ne.ICA 5 on an acidic soil. unde. the.e.fe.t of the.inte.action of P, Ca and Mg.
