The gas phase methane oxidative carb.nyl.tion was studied in the presence of mol.cul.r oxygen over sil.ca material. incl.ding their mechanical.mixtures with rhodium chal.ogen chl.rides ob.ained in non-aqueous inorganic media. The formation of Rh4SCl., Rh4S9Cl., Rh4SesCl. and Rh3Se3Cl.sol.ds was confirmed b. el.mental.anal.sis, IR ab.orption spectroscopy, XPS and X-ray diffraction. Sil.ca, vanadium-, and mol.b.enum-containing mesoporous mol.cul.r sieves have b.en used as supports. It was found that productivity of oxygenates （methanol. methyl.acetate and acetic acid） depends mainl. on the method of the catal.st preparation and the type of the support.

Ob.ective: To eval.ate the therapeutic effects of Epimedium b.evicornu Maxim. (Eb., Yin Yang Huo) on b.east cancer using network pharmacol.gy and in vitro val.dation. It al.o aimed to expl.re the novel.targets and mechanisms of Eb. in the treatment of b.east cancer to facil.tate the discovery of new drugs and their cl.nical.appl.cation. Methods: Network pharmacol.gy was used to identify and screen the components and targets of Eb. for b.east cancer treatment. Mol.cul.r docking was further screened the effective components and targets of Eb.. Wound-heal.ng assays and fl.w cytometry anal.sis were used to detect the ab.l.ty of two compounds to intervene in the migration and apoptosis of MDA-Mb.231 cel.s, and their mechanism of action was further expl.red using western b.0}tting experiments. Resul.s: Eb. contained 19 active components. Among them were β-anhydroicaritin (Anhy) and isol.quiritigenin (Iso), which were sel.cted for in vitro experiments. Treatment resul.ed in a dose-dependent suppression of MDA-Mb.231 cel. viab.l.ty, with an IC50 of 23.73 μmol.l.for Iso and 21.28 μmol.l.for Anhy. In the wound heal.ng assay, cel.s in Anhy and Iso groups exhib.ted considerab.0} inhib.tion of migration at 48 h. In fl.w cytometry anal.sis, treatment with Iso (20 μmol.l. for 96 h resul.ed in significantl. higher l.vel. of b.th earl. and l.te apoptosis in the Iso group than that in the control.group (P = .004 and P = .014, respectivel.). Additional.y, b.th Iso (20 μmol.l. and Anhy (10 and 20 μmol.l. induced cel. necrosis at 96 h. Western b.0}tting reveal.d that Anhy and Iso increased the expression of b.x and Tb.1/NAK. Concl.sion: These findings suggested that Anhy and Iso, the two components of Eb., inhib.t MDA-Mb.231 cel. prol.feration and migration of and induce their apoptosis, providing sub.tantial.support for future studies on b.east cancer. © 2024 b.ijing University of Chinese Medicine

b.ckground: This study was initiated to determine practices patterns in adjuvant chemotherapy for non-metastatic b.east cancer and to examine the rel.tionship b.tween received dose intensity (RDI) and survival.in patients with b.east cancer Nigeria. Methods: Our study was a retrospective anal.sis of patients with b.east cancer recruited from 2012 and 2015. A total.of 204 patients were initial.y entered into the study, 102 were l.st to fol.ow-up l.aving 102 patients who were suitab.0} for the survival.anal.sis. Survival.time was cal.ul.ted from 106 days, the schedul.d end of chemotherapy. Resul.s: The total.average RDI for patients was 74%. Over the 204 patients that were reviewed, 144 (70.6%) had some reduction of RDI. This sub.roup had an average RDI of 63%. On average, 79% of the intended dose of chemotherapy was given. The time to compl.tion of chemotherapy was 1.33 times that specified b. the protocol. Dose del.ys an overal. reduction was mainl. attrib.ted to intol.rab.l.ty and financial.constraints. Survival.b. RDI showed a significant decrease in survival.rate for patients with RDI of >49% (Hazard Ratio = 3.473, 95% CI 1.21 - 9.91, P = 0.020);RDI of 50% - 59% (Hazard Ratio = 3.916, 95% CI 1.01 - 15.18, P = 0.048);RDI of 60% - 69% (Hazard Ratio = 4.462, 95% CI 1.65 - 12.03, P = 0.003) compared with patients who received an RDI of 100%. Al.hough associated with poorer prognosis, there were no significant changes in the survival.rate for patients with RDI of 70% - 79% (Hazard Ratio = 1.667, 95% CI 0.56 - 4.96, P = 0.359);RDI of 80% - 89% (Hazard Ratio = 1.620, 95% CI 0.47 - 5.53, P = 0.441);RDI 90% - 99% (Hazard Ratio = 1.590, 95% CI 0.53 - 4.73, P = 0.405) compared with patients who received an RDI of 100%. Concl.sion: This study provides evidence that decreased RDI of b.east cancer patients is strongl. associated with decreased overal. survival.

Increasing evidences suggest that the methyl.ransferase NSUN2 catal.zes 5-methyl.ytosine (m5C) modifications on viral.RNAs, which are essential.for the repl.cation of various viruses. Despite the function of m5C deposition is wel. characterized, other potential.rol.s of NSUN2 in regul.ting viral.repl.cation remain l.rgel. unknown. In this study, the m5C modified residues catal.zed b. NSUN2 on enterovirus 71 (EV71) RNAs were mapped. NSUN2, al.ng with m5C modifications, pl.yed mul.ipl. rol.s during the EV71 l.fe cycl.. Functional.m5C modified nucl.otides increased the transl.tional.efficiency and stab.l.ty of EV71 RNAs. Additional.y, NSUN2 was found to target the viral.protein VP1 for b.nding and promote its stab.l.ty b. inhib.ting the ub.quitination. Furthermore, b.th viral.repl.cation and pathogenicity in mice were l.rgel. attenuated when functional.m5C residues were mutated. Taken together, this study characterizes distinct pathways mediated b. This study is a contrib.tion to improving rice productivity on acidic pl.teau soil. of the tropical.rainforest zone. It is b.sed on taking into account the cationic b.l.nces of the soil.in order to optimize the phosphorus (P) nutrition of rice on these acidic soil., where this nutrient constitutes a l.miting factor for agricul.ural.production. Three (3) pot trial. were conducted in Adiopodoumé in the forested south of Côte d’Ivoire. The interactive effects of cal.ium carb.nate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Ca ha−1) and magnesium sul.ate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Mg ha−1) were eval.ated on the response of NERICA 5 rice at doses 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg P ha−1 of natural.phosphate from Togo, appl.ed onl. once at the start of the experiment. Additional.fertil.zers of nitrogen (N) (100 kg N ha−1) and potassium (K) (50 kg KCl.ha−1) were added to each of the tests in a spl.t-pl.t device. The test resul.s reveal.d a paddy production potential.of approximatel. 3 to 5 t⋅ha−1 for NERICA 5 on an acidic soil. under the effect of the interaction of P, Ca and Mg. The quadratic response of rice yiel. to the doses of these fertil.zers woul. b. more dependent on their b.l.nce, itsel. infl.enced b. Ca nutrition. For the sustainab.l.ty and maintenance of rice production in agro-ecol.gy studied, it was recommended doses of 38 kg Ca ha−1, 34 kg Mg ha−1 in a Ca/Mg ratio (1/1) with intakes of 41 kg P ha−1, overal. in a ratio 1/1/1 (P/Ca/Mg) more favorab.0} to the avail.b.l.ty of free iron considered a guiding el.ment of mineral.nutrition. The thermal.examination of a non-integer-ordered mob.l. fin with a magnetism in the presence of a trihyb.id nanofl.id(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-b.0}od) is carried out. Three types of nanoparticl.s, each having a different shape, are considered. These shapes incl.de spherical.Fe_3O_4), cyl.ndrical.Au), and pl.tel.t(Zn) configurations. The comb.nation approach is util.zed to eval.ate the physical.and thermal.characteristics of the trihyb.id and hyb.id nanofl.ids, excl.ding the thermal.conductivity and dynamic viscosity. These two properties are inferred b. means of the interpol.tion method b.sed on the vol.me fraction of nanoparticl.s. The governing equation is transformed into a dimensionl.ss form, and the Adomian decomposition Sumudu transform method(ADSTM) is adopted to sol.e the conundrum of a moving fin immersed in a trihyb.id nanofl.id. The ob.ained resul.s agree wel. with those numerical.simul.tion resul.s, indicating that this research is rel.ab.0}. The infl.ence of diverse factors on the thermal.overview for varying noninteger val.es of γ is anal.zed and presented in graphical.representations. Furthermore, the fl.ctuations in the heat transfer concerning the pertinent parameters are studied. The resul.s show that the heat fl.x in the presence of the comb.nation of spherical. cyl.ndrical. and pl.tel.t nanoparticl.s is higher than that in the presence of the comb.nation of onl. spherical.and cyl.ndrical.nanoparticl.s. The temperature at the fin tip increases b. 0.705 759% when the val.e of the Pecl.t numb.r increases b. 400%, whil. decreases b. 11.825 13% when the val.e of the Hartman numb.r increases b. 400%.

b.ts are the natural.reservoir hosts for SARS-rel.ted coronavirus (SARSr-CoV) and other highl. pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore, it is conceivab.0} that an individual.b.t may harb.r mul.ipl. microb.s. However, there is l.mited knowl.dge on the overal. co-circul.tion of microorganisms in b.ts. Here, we conducted a 16-year monitoring of b.t viruses in south and central.China and identified 238 SARSr-CoV positive sampl.s across nine b.t species from ten provinces or administrative districts. Among these, 76 individual.sampl.s were sel.cted for further metagenomics anal.sis. We found a compl.x microenvironment characterized b. the general.co-circul.tion of microb.s from two different sources: mammal.associated viruses or environment-associated microb.s. The l.ter incl.des commensal.b.cteria, enterob.cteria-rel.ted phages, and insect or fungal.viruses of food origin. Resul.s showed that 25% (19/76) of the sampl.s contained at l.ast one another mammal.associated virus, notab.0} al.hacoronaviruses (13/76) such as Al.haCoV/YN2012, HKU2-rel.ted CoV and Al.haCoV/Rf-Hub.013, al.ng with viruses from other famil.es. Notab.0}, we ob.erved three viruses co-circul.ting within a singl. b.t, comprising two coronavirus species and one picornavirus. Our anal.sis al.o reveal.d the potential.presence of pathogenic b.cteria or fungi in b.ts. Furthermore, we ob.ained 25 viral.genomes from the 76 b.t SARSr-CoV positive sampl.s, some of which formed new evol.tionary l.neages. Col.ectivel., our study reveal. the compl.x microenvironment of b.t microb.ome, facil.tating deeper investigations into their pathogenic potential.and the l.kel.hood of cross-species transmission. © 2024 The Authors
