Background: Controlled-release oxycodone/naloxone(OXN-CR) maintains the effect of opioid-induced analgesia through oxycodone while reducing the occurrence rate of opioid-induced constipation through naloxone. The present study was designed to assess the non-inferiority of OXN-CR to controlled-release oxycodone(OX-CR) for the control of cancer-related pain in Korean ***: In this randomized, open-labeled, parallel-group, phase IV study, we enrolled patients aged 20 years or older with moderate to severe cancer-related pain [numeric rating scale(NRS) pain score ≥4] from seven Korean oncology/hematology centers. Patients in the intention-to-treat(ITT) population were randomized(1:1) to OXNCR or OX-CR groups. OXN-CR was administered starting at 20 mg/10 mg per day and up-titrated to a maximum of80 mg/40 mg per day for 4 weeks, and OX-CR was administered starting at 20 mg/day and up-titrated to a maximum of 80 mg/day for 4 *** primary efficacy endpoint was the change in NRS pain score from baseline to week4, with non-inferiority margin of-1.5. Secondary endpoints included analgesic rescue medication intake, patientreported change in bowel habits, laxative intake, quality of life(QoL), and safety ***: Of the ITT population comprising 128 patients, 7 with missing primary efficacy data and 4 who violated the eligibility criteria were excluded from the efficacy analysis. At week 4, the mean change in NRS pain scores was not significantly different between the OXN-CR group(n = 58) and the OX-CR group(n = 59)(-1.586 vs.-1.559,P = 0.948). The lower limit of the one-sided 95% confidence interval(-0.776 to 0.830) for the difference exceeded the non-inferiority margin(P < 0.001). We evaluated the potential of orally fed new food formulations to inhibit biomarkers reported to be involved in the causes of allergic asthma in mice. Asthma, a serious non-communicable disease, affects both adults and children and can be undertreated. New functional foods could provide therapeutic approaches. Here, the anti-asthma mechanism of a new functional food and three isolated fractions produced by bioprocessing black rice bran with shiitake mushroom mycelia was evaluated in mast cells, B cells, and orally fed mice and compared with non-bioprocessed black rice bran. In vitro, the treatments inhibited RBL-2H3 cell degranulation and immunoglobulin E (IgE) production. The in vitro anti-asthma effects were confirmed in orally fed mice following asthma induction by alumina and chicken egg ovalbumin (OVA). The suppression of asthma resulted from the inhibition of inflammation- and immune-related substances, including OVA-specific IgE, thymic stromal lymphopoietin, eotaxin, leukotriene C4, prostaglandin D2, and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum. The treatment also reversed the thickening of the lung airway wall. The inflammation and asthma inhibition seems to be regulated by the balance of the T-helper cells’ Th1/Th2 immune response and the inhibition of multiple biomarkers associated with the cause of asthma. Future human clinical studies with adults and children should determine the potential therapeutic value of the anti-asthma effects of the new functional foods.

＜正＞A chemiluminescence （CL） sensor for bilirubin combined flow-injection method was described in this paper. The analytical reagents involved in the CL reaction, including lucigenin and sodium periodate, were both immobilized on an anion-exchange column in FI system. The CL signal produced by the reaction between lucigenin and sodium periodate, which were eluted from the column through sodium phosphate injection, was decreased in the presence of bilirubin. The effects of eluant concentration, sodium hydroxide concentration, the molar ratio of lucigenin and periodate on the CL intensity were investigated. Under the optimum conditions, the present method allows the determination of bilirubin over the range from 0.05847 μg/ml to 58.47 μg/ml with the detection limit of 0.0125 μg/ml （3σ）. The correlation coefficient （R） is 0.99746 . The relative standard deviation was 0.9978 % for 1.0×10-4M of bilirubin （n = 11）.

This study determined the effect of orally fed polysaccharide-rich bioprocessed (fermented) black rice bran produced by culturing with shiitake (Lentinus edodes) mushroom mycelium on CT-26 colon cancer cells in vivo in an intracutaneously transplanted mouse tumor alone and in combination with intraperitoneally administered anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor. Analysis of the isolated tumor weights at the end of the study shows that the average tumor size in control mice is 3.78 grams, and the average tumor size in mice treated with anti-PD-1 antibody is 2.16 grams. The average tumor size in mice treated with BRB-F alone is 2.25 grams, and the average tumor size in mice treated with anti-PD-1 antibody BRB-F combination is 1.38 grams. Thus, BRB-F or anti-PD-1 antibody alone each reduce tumor size by 40.5% or 42.9%, whereas the combination of BRB-F and anti-PD-1 antibody reduces tumor size by 63.5%, with their cooperative effect being statistically significant. The observed anti-tumor effects were accompanied by a series of biomarkers associated with cancer formation and inhibition. These results indicate that the reported potentiation of cancer therapy using drug-based medical chemotherapies with added checkpoint inhibitors in human patients are mechanistically similar with the functional food evaluated in the present study. These beneficial effects in mice challenge clinicians to investigate if the black rice bran food product can also protect against human cancer.

背景与目的羟考酮/纳洛酮控释片(controlled?release oxycodone/naloxone,OXN?CR)通过羟考酮发挥阿片类药物诱导的镇痛效果,同时纳洛酮可降低阿片类药物引起的便秘的发生率。本研究旨在评价与羟考酮控释片(controlled?release oxycodone,OX?CR)相比,OXN?CR在控制韩国患者癌性疼痛中的非劣效性。方法本项随机、开放标签、平行分组、IV期研究中,我们从韩国的7个肿瘤学/血液学中心招募了年龄20岁及以上、具有中重度癌性疼痛的患者[疼痛数字评价量表(numeric rating scale,NRS)疼痛评分≥4分]。意向治疗人群(intention天20 mg/10 mg,每天最大?to用?treat,ITT)随机(1:1)分为OXN?CR和OX?CR组。OXN?CR组:起始用药量为每药量80 mg/40 mg,用药4周。OX?CR组:起始用药量为20 mg/d,最大用药量为80 mg/d,用药4周。本研究的主要疗效终点为NRS疼痛评分从基线到第4周的变化,其非劣效性界值为-1.5。次要终点包括应急镇痛药摄入量、患者报告的排便习惯改变、缓泻药摄入量、生活质量(quality of life,QoL)及安全性评价。结果 128例患者组成的ITT人群中,7例因缺失主要疗效数据、4例因不符合资格标准被排除疗效分析。在第4周时,OXN?CR组(n=58)和OX?CR组(n=59)患者NRS疼痛评分的平均变化无显著性差异(-1.586 vs.-1.559,P=0.948)。组间差异的单侧95%置信区间(-0.776-0.830)的下限超过非劣效性边界(P <0.001)。OXN?CR和OX?CR两组患者在应急镇痛药摄入量、排便习惯改变、缓泻药摄入量、QoL和安全性评价方面均无显著差异。结论就治疗4周后减轻患者疼痛的效果而言,OXN?CR的疗效非劣于OX?CR,两者具有相似的安全性。对于OXN?CR在长期疼痛控制和缓解便秘方面的疗效,则需在更多韩国癌性疼痛患者人群中开展进一步的研究。

A critical challenge hindering the practical application of lithium–oxygen batteries(LOBs)is the inevitable problems associated with liquid electrolytes,such as evaporation and safety *** study addresses these problems by proposing a modified polyrotaxane(mPR)-based solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)design that simultaneously mitigates solvent-related problems and improves ***-SPE exhibits high ion conductivity(2.8×10^(−3)S cm^(−1)at 25℃)through aligned ion conduction pathways and provides electrode protection ability through hydrophobic chain *** this mPR-SPE into solid-state LOBs resulted in stable potentials over 300 *** situ Raman spectroscopy reveals the presence of an LiO_(2)intermediate alongside Li_(2)O_(2)during oxygen *** situ X-ray diffraction confirm the ability of the SPE to hinder the permeation of oxygen and moisture,as demonstrated by the air permeability *** present study suggests that maintaining a low residual solvent while achieving high ionic conductivity is crucial for restricting the sub-reactions of solid-state LOBs.

One-dimensional alkali metal titanates containing potassium,sodium,and lithium are of great concern owing to their high ion mobility and high specific surface *** those titanates are combined with conductive materials such as graphene,carbon nanotube,and carbon nanofiber,they are able to be employed as efficient electrode materials for *** hexa-titanate(K2Ti6O13,KTO),in particular,has shown superior electrochemical properties compared to other alkali metal titanates because of their large lattice parameters induced by the large radius of potassium ***,we present porous rGO crumples(PGC)decorated with KTO nanoparticles(NPs)for application to *** KTO NP/PGC composites were synthesized by aerosol spray pyrolysis and post-heat *** NPs less than 10 nm in diameter were loaded onto PGCs ranging from 3 to 5μ*** porous structure of the composites was obtained by the activation of rGO by adding an excessive amount of KOH to the *** KTO NP/PGC composite electrodes fabricated at the GO/KOH/TiO2 ratio of 1:3:0.25 showed the highest performance(275 F g−1)in capacitance with different KOH concentrations and cycling stability(83%)after 2000 cycles at a current density of 1 A g−1.

A thermohaline front is located at the southeastern entrance of the Yellow Sea in winter, and it is generated by the intrusion of warm saline water into the Yellow Sea caused by a strong northerly wind. Recently, a westward transversal current traveling away from the west coast of Korea toward the open sea area along the front was reported. The westward transversal current is dominant in the surface layer during the temperature inversion period. The formation and structure of this current are examined using a numerical vertical ocean-slice *** two different water masses meet, a front is formed and adjusted geostrophically. In this frontal zone, a horizontal pressure gradient flow by the vertically inclined isopycnal occurs under the thermal wind process in a baroclinic effect, and the cold fresh coastal water moves westward along the front in the upper layer. The barotropic effect across the front and the bottom friction effect strengthen the westward component of the velocity. The velocity of the bottom layer decreases remarkably in the increase of the bottom drag coefficient. This means that the bottom friction with the strong background tidal current causes a reduction in the current in the bottom layer.
