The effect of a vertical diffusion scheme over a stratocumulus topped boundary layer （STBL） was investigated using the YONU AGCM （Yonsei University Atmospheric General Circulation Model）. To consider the impact of clouds on the turbulence production, the turbulence mixing term, driven by radiative cooling at the cloud top, is implemented as an extended non-local diffusion scheme. In the model with this new scheme, the STBL parameterization significantly influences the lower atmosphere over the tropical and subtropical regions. Consideration of the turbulent mixing within the cloud layer leads to continuous stratocumulus formation. The cloud-top radiative cooling tends to favor more rapid entrainment and produces top-down turbulent mixing. This cooling develops a mixed layer without initiation of deep convection by surface fluxes. Variations in thermodynamical and dynamical features are produced by planetary boundary layer （PBL） cloud development. The simulated stratocumulus induces more mixing of heat and moisture due to the cloud forcing. Over STBL regions, the lower boundary layer becomes warmer and drier. It also weakens vertical motion and zonal trade winds in the eastern Pacific, which indicates that stratocumulus cloud cover plays a role in weakening the Walker circulation; that is, cloud cover damps the tropical circulation.

The dry reforming(DR)reaction is an eco-friendly process for producing synthesis gas(CO,H_(2))from greenhouse gases(CH_(4),CO_(2)).Despite advancements in various nickel(Ni)supported catalysts for this reaction,achieving high catalyst stability against carbon deposition and improving conversion rates remain significant *** this paper,we introduce a novel approach for synthesizing uniform Ni nanocatalysts with cesium(Cs)and cerium oxide(CeO_(x)).This synthesis is achieved using an automated device based on a co-melt infiltration *** method addresses the limitations of conventional catalyst synthesis,such as complex procedures,low reproducibility,and difficulties in scaling *** resulting catalysts contain uniformly small Ni particles,approximately 5 nm in size,with Cs and CeO_(x) evenly distributed throughout the alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))*** developed Ni/CeO_(x)-Al_(2)O_(3) and Cs Ni/CeOx-Al_(2)O_(3) nanocatalysts demonstrate improved conversion performance and stability under various DR *** improvement is attributed to the synergistic effect of Cs and CeO_(x),which creates a pathway to inhibit and remove carbon ***,these nanocatalysts exhibited superior resistance to carbon deposition compared to conventional Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and commercial Ni catalysts under identical reaction conditions.

The dual-cooled nuclear reactor is currently considered for improving the designs of current/future nuclear reactors. Investigation of the thermal-hydraulic characteristics of the nuclear reactor via experiments is essential for commercializing the dual-cooled nuclear reactor. In this paper, the turbulent flow in square arrayed six-rod bundles in the form of magnified copies of the dual-cooled and current OPR-1000 nuclear reactor is experimentally investigated by means of hot-wire anemometry and smoke-wire generation methods. Vortex trains which do not exist in an ordinary reactor subchannel are presented in the subchannel of the dual-cooled reactor. The vortices are induced by a span-wise velocity gradient. This flow pulsation phenomenon increases the inter-channel mixing of the subchannel. To understand the periodic feature of the pulsation, axial/cross velocities are measured and the periodic characteristic frequencies are obtained by a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis. The peak frequency that represents the quasi-periodic pulsation of the flow is increased with an increase in the axial velocity while the wavelength of the pulsation remains constant within a tested range of the Reynolds number (9000 51000). The vortex trains are highly synchronized with each other, as confirmed by means of visualization.

Multilayer gallium and aluminum doped ZnO （GZO/AZO） films were fabricated by alternative deposition of Ga-doped zinc oxide（GZO） and Al-doped zinc oxide（AZO） thin film by using pulsed laser deposition（PLD） process. The electrical and optical properties of these GZO/AZO thin films were investigated and compared with those of GZO and AZO thin films. The GZO/AZO （1：1） thin film deposited at 400 ~C shows the electrical resistivity of 4.18 x 10 4 ~.cm, an electron concentration of 7.5 x 1020/cm3, and carrier mobility of 25.4 cm2/（V.s）. The optical transmittances of GZO/AZO thin films are over 85%. The optical band gap energy of GZO/AZO thin films linearly decreases with increasing the AI ratio.

Traditional iridium (Ir) oxide catalysts have faced significant limitations in water electrolysis, particularly under acidic conditions where instability and degradation severely restrict the efficiency of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). To overcome these challenges, this study successfully synthesized highly dispersed IrPtPdNi alloy nanoparticles on a graphene oxide support using a vertically moving reactor, demonstrating exceptional performance in water electrolysis. These nanoparticles, synthesized via a fast-moving bed pyrolysis method, combine iridium, platinum, palladium, and nickel. They exhibit lower overpotentials in OER and comparable performance in HER to commercial catalysts, while also offering enhanced stability. These results surpass the limitations of traditional catalysts, marking significant progress toward more efficient and sustainable hydrogen production technologies. This advancement is expected to contribute significantly to the development of sustainable energy systems by innovatively enhancing the performance of catalysts in the electrochemical water-splitting process.

In this study,we developed a simple screening procedure for the determination of 18 anthelmintics(including benzimidazoles,macrocyclic lactones,salicylanilides,substituted phenols,tetrahydropyrimidines,and imidazothiazoles)in five animal-derived food matrices(chicken muscle,pork,beef,milk,and egg)using liquid chromatography-tandem mass *** were extracted using acetonitrile/1% acetic acid(milk and egg)and acetonitrile/1% acetic acid with 0.5 mL of distilled water(chicken muscle,pork,and beef),and purified using saturated n-hexane/acetonitrile.A reversed-phase analytical column and a mobile phase consisting of(A)10 mM ammonium formate in distilled water and(B)methanol were used to achieve optimal chromatographic ***-matched standard calibration curves(R^(2)≥0.9752)were obtained for concentration equivalent to ×1/2,×1,×2,×3,×4,and×5 fold the maximum residue limit(MRL)stipulated by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug *** of 61.2e118.4%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs)of ≤19.9%(intraday and interday),were obtained for each sample at three spiking concentrations(×1/2,×1,and ×2 the MRL values).Limits of detection,limits of quantification,and matrix effects were 0.02e5.5 mg/kg,0.06e10 mg/kg,and -98.8 to 13.9%(at 20 μg/kg),*** five samples of each food matrix(chicken muscle,pork,beef,milk,and egg)purchased from large retailers in Seoul that were tested,none of the target analytes were *** has therefore been shown that this protocol is adaptable,accurate,and precise for the quantification of anthelmintic residues in foods of animal origin.
