The CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloys(HEAs)with a(face-centered cubic) FCC structure has garnered considerable attention for its exceptional ductility and strain hardening ***,its yield strength is insufficient for structural *** this study,strengthening mechanisms in these HEAs were investigated to gain insight into the mechanical properties according to alloy powder ***,we present a novel approach to achieve both high strength and high ductility through the creation of a bimodal structure consisting of both coarse and fine grains via gas atomization and spark plasma sintering processes.A bimodally structured HEA prepared with a mass ratio of 2:8 between coarse particles(75-106 μm) and fine particles(≤25 μm)yielded optimal results,with a strength of 491.95 MPa and elongation of 19.64%.This strength value represents an~41% increase compared with the sample that displayed a fine single microstructure(347.08 MPa for yield strength).The strength enhancement was attributed to the prevention of plastic deformation initiation from the fine particles during *** innovative approach to the creation of HEAs with bimodal structures shows promise for various applications,such as structural components that require a combination of high strength and high ductility.

Cellular agriculture is an innovative technology for manufacturing sustainable agricultural products as an alternative to traditional agriculture. While most cellular agriculture is predominantly centered on the production of cultured meat, there is a growing demand for an understanding of the production techniques involved in dairy products within cellular agriculture. This review focuses on the current status of cellular agriculture in the dairy sector and technical challenges for cell-cultured milk production. Cellular agriculture technology in the dairy sector has been classified into fermentation-based and animal cell culture-based cellular agriculture. Currently, various companies synthesize milk components through precision fermentation technology. Nevertheless, several startup companies are pursuing animal cell-based technology, driven by public concerns regarding genetically modified organisms in precision fermentation technology. Hence, this review offers an up-to-date exploration of animal cell-based cellular agriculture to produce milk components, specifically emphasizing the structural, functional, and productive aspects of mammary epithelial cells, providing new information for industry and academia.

Background The intestinal epithelium performs essential physiological functions, such as nutrient absorption, and acts as a barrier to prevent the entry of harmful substances. Mycotoxins are prevalent contaminants found in ani-mal feed that exert harmful effects on the health of livestock. Zearalenone(ZEA) is produced by the Fusarium genus and induces gastrointestinal dysfunction and disrupts the health and immune system of animals. Here, we evaluated the molecular mechanisms that regulate the effects of ZEA on the porcine intestinal *** Treatment of IPEC-J2 cells with ZEA decreased the expression of E-cadherin and increased the expression of Snai1 and Vimentin, which induced Snail1-mediated epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition(EMT). In addition, ZEA induces Snail-mediated EMT through the activation of TGF-β signaling. Detrital zircon geochronology and Hf isotope analysis can be used for inferring provenance characteristics,and to evaluate the tectonic evolution of sedimentary basins and their link with regional *** Paleozoic sequences of the Okcheon Belt consist of the Lower Paleozoic Joseon and the Upper Paleozoic Pyeongan supergroups with Middle Paleozoic hiatus locally on top of the Neoproterozoic bimodal volcanic rocks,reflecting an intracontinental rift setting between the two basements(*** and Yeongnam massifs)at southern part of the Korean *** detrital zircon U-Pb ages and Lu-Hf isotope results show that all these Paleozoic strata commonly have Paleoproterozoic and Paleozoic zircon ages with rare Meso-to Neoproterozoic *** individual zircon populations display following features,allowing estimation of their sedimentary provenances:(i)The Paleoproterozoic zircons(ca.1.85 Ga and 2.50 Ga)with similar ranges ofεHf(t)values are most common in the basement rocks of the Korean Peninsula,and were sourced from both the Gyeonggi and Yeongnam massifs.(ii)The Meso-to Neoproterozoic zircons,preserved only in the Middle to Late Cambrian clastic sedimentary rocks within the carbonate sequences probably reflect proximal provenance.(iii)The youngest Paleozoic zircons of each formation,almost coincident with their deposition ages,suggest presence of syndepositional magmatism,indicating proximal magmatic sources during their deposition.(iv)The Cambrian-Ordovician zircons,from the Lower Paleozoic sequences,but rare in the successive Upper Paleozoic sequences,suggest a provenance change after the hiatus between the two sedimentary successions.(v)The Permian zircons showing differentεHf(t)values indicate that detrital sources were varied at that *** integrated results in our study suggest provenance variability linked to diverse tectonic environments,reflecting prolonged subduction-related crustal evolution of the proto-Korean Peninsula during the Paleozo

Objective: Precision medicine approaches emphasize the importance of reliable prognostic tools for guiding individualized therapy decisions. In this study, we evaluated the clinical feasibility of the single patient classifier(SPC) test, a new clinical-grade prognostic assay, in stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ gastric cancer ***: A prospective multicenter study was conducted, involving 237 patients who underwent gastrectomy between September 2019 and August 2020 across nine hospitals. The SPC test was employed to stratify patients into risk groups, and its feasibility and performance were evaluated. The primary endpoint was the proportion of the cases in which the test results were timely delivered before selecting postoperative treatment. Furthermore, 3-year disease-free survivals of risk groups were ***: The SPC test met the primary endpoint criteria. The 99.5% of SPC tests were timely delivered to hospitals before the postoperative treatment started. In a clinical setting, the median time from the specimen transfer to laboratory to the result delivery to hospital was 4 d. Furthermore, 3-year disease-free survivals were significantly different between risk groups classified with SPC ***: This study highlights the SPC test's feasibility in offering crucial information timely delivered for making informed decisions regarding postoperative treatment strategies. It also provides evidence to support the implementation of a future prospective clinical trial aimed at evaluating the clinical utility of the SPC test in guiding personalized treatment decisions for gastric cancer patients.

Maximizing power saving with state transition overhead for multiple mobile subscriber stations in WiMAX

In the IEEE 802.16e/m standard, three power saving classes （PSCs） are defined to save the energy of a mobile sub- scriber station （MSS）. However, how to set the parameters of PSCs to maximize the power saving and guarantee the quality of service is not specified in the standard. Thus, many algorithms were proposed to set the PSCs in IEEE 802.16 networks. However, most of the proposed algorithms consider only the power saving for a single MSS. In the algorithms designed for multiple MSSs, the sleep state, which is set for activation of state transition overhead power, is not considered. The PSC setting for real-time connections in multiple MSSs with consideration of the state transition overhead is studied. The problem is non-deterministic polynomial time hard （NP-hard）, and a suboptimal algorithm for the problem is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that the energy saving of the proposed algorithm is higher than that of state-of-the-art algorithms and approaches the optimum limit.
