The complex mechanism of degenerative diseases and the non-specific modulation of regenerative targets aretopics that need to be elucidated in order to advance the use of stem cells in improvement of neurodegenerative *** pre-transplantation through post-transplantation, there are many changes in the conditions, both inside andoutside of the stem cells that have not been carefully considered. This has hindered development in the field of celltherapy and regeneration. This viewpoint highlights the potential implications of intracellular and extracellularalterations of stem cells in transplanted areas at risk of neurodegenerative disease.

Many researchers have employed the cryopreserved amniotic membrane（CAM） and corneal epithelial cells in the treatment of a severely damaged burned cornea, with corneal epithelial cells cultured on an amniotic membrane （AM）. The lyophilized amniotic membrane（LAM） has a higher graft take and a longer shelf life; it is easier to store and safer because of gamma irradiation. Two Teflon rings（ Ahn＇s supporter） were made for culturing the cells on the LAM, and were then used to support the LAM. To reconstruct a corneal layer composed of corneal fibroblasts and epithelium, the corneal fibroblasts were first cultivated on the stromal side of LAM for five days, foUowed by epithelial cells culture on the epithelial side, by using the air-liquid interface culture. The reconstructed corneal layer composed of corneal fibroblasts and corneal epithelial cells has a much healthier basal layer of corneal epithelium than the reconstructed corneal epithelium, which was got by using only corneal epithelial cells, and resembles the epithelium of normal corneas, without the horny layer. Thus, the reconstruction of the corneal layer by using a LAM is considered to be a good in vitro model, not only for its application in toxicological test kits, but also for transplantation in patients with a severely damaged cornea.

Graphical interface for motion editing using procedure visualization

In this paper, we introduce an interface for motion editing that visualizes editing procedures. For intuitive understanding and construction of motion editing procedures, our system represents an editing element that produces modified motion from a given input motion as a graphical node, and enables user to construct a whole motion editing procedure by connecting the nodes with a few mouse interactions. The system provides both the 3D transform manipulator and the time-line slider for intuitive controlling of the parameters of each node. The user evaluation results show that our system is easy and intuitive to be used by users for editing of motion sequences.

Tissue-resident immune cells are known to be derived from their circulating precursors and migrate to tissues for host *** studies have revealed heterogeneity in the origin and proliferation properties of macrophages,which are a prototype tissue-resident immune *** tissue-resident macrophages can originate from embryonic and fetal sources and are selfmaintained by continuous local self-renewal.1,2 As accessory cells,tissue-resident macrophages support parenchymal cells(their‘client cells’),and their functions range from tissue development to tissue homeostasis(for example,osteoclasts,lung macrophages,microglia,splenic red-pulp macrophages,and Kupffer cells).Although macrophages are known as the major immune cell with tissue-specific functions,new frameworks integrating the functions of other immune cells with the maintenance of tissue homeostasis will be likely established in the near future.

Prostate cancer(PC)biomarker-citrate detection is clinically important to diagnose PC in early *** iodide(Q)conjugated indole-phenylboronic acid(IB)was designed as a red-emissive QIB probe for the detection of citrate through Lewis acid-base reaction and intramolecular charge transfer(ICT)sensing *** acid acts as Lewis acid as well as citrate(Lewis base)recognition *** probe reacted with citrate,showing enhanced red *** the probe has excellent water solubility and great biocompatibility,practical application in biological systems is *** was monitored precisely in the mitochondria organelle(in vitro)of living cells with a positive charge on ***,endogenous(in situ)citrate was detected quantitatively to discriminate non-cancerous and PC mice,observed strong and lower(negligible)emission intensity on non-cancerous and cancerous prostate tissues,***,the concentration of citrate is higher in healthy prostate compared with PC ***,the analysis of sliced prostate tissues can give PC-related information for clinical diagnosis to prevent and treat PC in the initial ***,we believe that the present probe is a promising biochemical reagent in diagnosing PC.

1D-CNN:Speech Emotion Recognition System Using a Stacked Network with Dilated CNN Features

Emotion recognition from speech data is an active and emerging area of research that plays an important role in numerous applications,such as robotics,virtual reality,behavior assessments,and emergency call ***,researchers have developed many techniques in this field in order to ensure an improvement in the accuracy by utilizing several deep learning approaches,but the recognition rate is still not *** main aim is to develop a new technique that increases the recognition rate with reasonable cost *** this paper,we suggested a new technique,which is a one-dimensional dilated convolutional neural network(1D-DCNN)for speech emotion recognition(SER)that utilizes the hierarchical features learning blocks(HFLBs)with a bi-directional gated recurrent unit(BiGRU).We designed a one-dimensional CNN network to enhance the speech signals,which uses a spectral analysis,and to extract the hidden patterns from the speech signals that are fed into a stacked one-dimensional dilated network that are called *** HFLB contains one dilated convolution layer(DCL),one batch normalization(BN),and one leaky_relu(Relu)layer in order to extract the emotional features using a hieratical correlation ***,the learned emotional features are feed into a BiGRU in order to adjust the global weights and to recognize the temporal *** final state of the deep BiGRU is passed from a softmax classifier in order to produce the probabilities of the *** proposed model was evaluated over three benchmarked datasets that included the IEMOCAP,EMO-DB,and RAVDESS,which achieved 72.75%,91.14%,and 78.01%accuracy,respectively.

AIM:To clarify the short and long-term results and to prove the usefulness of endoscopic resection in type 3gastric neuroendocrine tumors(NETs).METHODS:Of the 119 type 3 gastric NETs diagnosed from January 1996 to September 2011,50 patients treated with endoscopic resection were enrolled in this *** endoscopic resection,endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)or endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)was *** efficacy,complications,and follow-up results were evaluated ***:EMR was performed in 41 cases and ESD in 9 *** complete resection was performed in 40 cases(80.0%)and incomplete resection specimens were observed in 10 cases(7 vs 3 patients in the EMR vs ESD group,P=0.249).Upon analysis of the incomplete resection group,lateral or vertical margin invasion was found in six cases(14.6%)in the EMR group and in one case in the ESD group(11.1%).Lymphovascular invasions were observed in two cases(22.2%)in the ESD group and in one case(2.4%)in the EMR group(P=0.080).During the follow-up period(43.73;13-60 mo),there was no evidence of tumor recurrence in either the pathologically complete resection group or the incomplete resection *** recurrence was reported during *** addition,no mortality was reported in either the complete resection group or the incomplete resection group for the duration of the follow-up ***:Less than 2 cm sized confined submucosal layer type 3 gastric NET with no evidence of lymphovascular invasion,endoscopic treatment could be considered at initial treatment.

In this paper, the problem of stability analysis for neural networks with time-varying delays is considered. By constructing a new augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii＇s functional and some novel analysis techniques, improved delaydependent criteria for checking the stability of the neural networks are established. The proposed criteria are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） which can be easily solved and checked by various convex optimization algorithms. Two numerical examples are included to show the superiority of our results.

We report here a case of pancreatic pseudocystocolic fistula that was treated without surgical or endoscopic intervention.A 76-year-old woman,presenting with a fever and epigastric pain,was referred to our *** months prior to this admission,the patient had been admitted to the hospital for acute *** computerized tomography(CT)revealed a 9 cm pseudocyst containing air,and a fistular opening was observed via *** colonoscopy,the abdominal pain was slightly improved,the fever subsided and laboratory results showed decreased C-reactive protein *** observed improvement was likely due to the cleansing of the bowel,which induced spontaneous drainage from the pseudocyst into the *** therapy was administered and daily bowel cleansing was performed using a polyethylene glycol *** three weeks,a follow-up CT revealed that the size of the pseudocyst had decreased significantly from 9 to 5.3 *** addition,laboratory tests were *** patient was able to resume a normal diet and was discharged in good overall health from the hospital,without aggravation of the symptoms.A colonoscopy performed 3 mo later and a follow-up CT performed 6 mo later confirmed that both the fistula and pseudocyst had completely disappeared.
