In backlighting systems for liquid crystal displays,conventional red,green,and blue(RGB)light sources that lack polarization properties can result in a significant optical loss of up to 50%when passing through a *** address this inefficiency and optimize energy utilization,this study presents a high-performance device designed for RGB polarized *** device employs an array of semipolar blueμLEDs with inherent polarization capabilities,coupled with mechanically stretched films of green-emitting CsPbBr3 nanorods and red-emitting CsPbI3-Cs4PbI6 hybrid *** CsPbBr3 nanorods in the polymer film offer intrinsic polarization emission,while the aligned-wire structures formed by the stable CsPbI3-Cs4PbI6 hybrid nanocrystals contribute to substantial anisotropic emissions,due to their high dielectric *** resulting device achieved RGB polarization degrees of 0.26,0.48,and 0.38,respectively,and exhibited a broad color gamut,reaching 137.2%of the NTSC standard and 102.5%of the Rec.2020 *** compared to a device utilizing c-plane LEDs for excitation,the current approach increased the intensity of light transmitted through the polarizer by 73.6%.This novel fabrication approach for polarized devices containing RGB components holds considerable promise for advancing next-generation display technologies.

Background and purpose To analyse the long-term risk of ischaemic stroke and the clinical effects of antithrombotics on the risk of haemorrhagic stroke in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted using a population-based database taken from Taiwan National Health Insurance Research *** with SLE between 2000 and 2008 were registered and matched with two controls by the index date,age,gender and Charlson Comorbidity Index(CCI).These subjects were followed until either stroke event or 31 December *** HRs(aHRs)for strokes were estimated with Cox regression models,and the cumulative incidence of ischaemic stroke was analysed by log-rank test and Kaplan-Meier survival *** In total,8310 patients with SLE and 16620 patients without SLE were *** general,patients with SLE had higher rates of ischaemic stroke(5.4%vs 3.3%)and haemorrhagic stroke(1.5%vs 0.6%)than in *** multivariate analysis adjusted to age,gender,CCI,urbanisation level and antithrombotics uses,aHRs of all strokes,ischaemic stroke and haemorrhagic stroke were 1.73(95%CI:1.54 to 1.94),1.65(95%CI:1.45 to 1.87)and 2.24(95%CI:1.71 to 2.95),respectively,in patients with *** with SLE were significantly more likely to suffer ischaemic stroke than patients without SLE,even 10 years after SLE diagnosis(6.12%vs 3.50%,p<0.001).Antiplatelet use increased the risk of haemorrhagic stroke in SLE group(aHR=1.74,95%CI:1.18 to 2.57).Conclusions Patients with SLE are at greater risk of developing ischaemic stroke that lasts for 10 *** should be carefully administered to prevent cardiovascular events in patients with SLE due to the risk of haemorrhagic stroke.

In this study,a galliumnitride(GaN)substrate and its 15μmepitaxial layer were entirely grown by adopting the hydride vapor phase epitaxy(HVPE)*** enhance the breakdown voltage(VBR)of vertical GaN-on-GaN Schottky barrier diodes(SBDs),a dual ion coimplantation of carbon and heliumwas employed to create the edge *** resulting devices exhibited a low turn-on voltage of 0.55 V,a high Ion/Ioff ratio of approximately 109,and a lowspecific onresistance of 1.93 mU cm^(2).When the ion implantation edge was terminated,the maximumVBR of the devices reached 1575 V,with an average improvement of 126%.These devices demonstrated a high figure of merit(FOM)of 1.28 GW cm^(-2) and showed excellent reliability during pulse stress testing.

BACKGROUND Target therapy is licensed by United States Food and Drug Administration on certain *** sorafenib and lenvatinib are tyrosine kinase inhibitor and indicated on radioactive iodine(RAI)-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer(DTC).Lenvatinib is more effective in cancers'control than sorafenib,but causes more nephrotoxicity than sorafenib *** case is the second published case about the serial adaptions from lenvatinib to sorafenib for improving the proteinuria and,meanwhile,achieving the therapeutic *** SUMMARY A 56-year-old man suffered from bilateral edematous lower extremities after 1-mo prescription of lenvatinib of 20 mg/d for RAI-refractory *** from this symptom,he also developed *** laboratory showed grade-3 proteinuria(estimated 24-h urine protein:9993 mg),hypoalbuminemia and ***-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)therapyinduced nephrotic syndrome was *** reduced dosage of lenvatinib of 10 mg/d and related symptomatic drugs,limited improvement was observed in both adverse effects and caner *** this condition,we substituted sorafenib of 400 mg/d for lenvatinib of 10 mg/*** a 5-mo prescription,not only hypertension and peripheral edema were greatly improved,but also proteinuria was improved from grade three to grade one(estimated 24-h urine protein:962 mg).At the same time the cancer control was achieved,judged from computed tomography and laboratory evidence[thyroglobulin(Tg)before prescription of sorafenib:354.7 ng/m L;Tg after prescription of sorafenib:108.9 ng/m L].CONCLUSION Adaption from lenvatinib to sorafenib is a feasible method to improve the antiVEGF therapy-induced nephrotic syndrome and achieve the therapeutic goal at the same time.

Muscle involvement in adults with hypothyroidism is common. AIM: To verify the usefulness of FibroQ for predicting fi brosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C, compared with other noninvasive tests. METHODS: This retrospective cohort study included 237 consecutive patients with chronic hepatitis C who had undergone percutaneous liver biopsy before treatment. FibroQ, aspartate aminotransferase (AST)/alanine aminotransferase ratio (AAR), AST to platelet ratioindex, cirrhosis discriminant score, age-platelet index (API), Pohl score, FIB-4 index, and Lok's model were calculated and compared. RESULTS: FibroQ, FIB-4, AAR, API and Lok's model results increased significantly as fibrosis advanced (analysis of variance test: P < 0.001). FibroQ trended to be superior in predicting signifi cant fi brosis score in chronic hepatitis C compared with other noninvasive tests. CONCLUSION: FibroQ is a simple and useful test for predicting signifi cant fi brosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C.

An isothermal operation is implemented by employing a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) for simulating the thermal decomposition behavior of 58μm pine sawdust in air *** independent parallel reaction model is adopted in this study to describe the thermal decomposition *** Weibull distribution function is used to record and analyze the weight loss during isothermal decomposition at different temperatures(500,600,700,and 800°C).The total weight loss of the pine sawdust is assumed as a linear combination of individual weight loss from three components,including the char and two volatile *** plot of the thermal decomposition rate curve leads to kinetic parameters such as the reaction rate constants and the reaction *** results show that the Weibull distribution function successfully represents decomposition curves of three components,and fits the experimental data very ***,this study provides a simple way to evaluate the decomposition rate of biomass combustion in a real combustor.
