Petrogenesis of Cenozoic Basaltic Rocks from Jiangsu Province,China:Evidence from Geochemical Constraints

Cenozoic （Miocene to Pleistocene） basaltic rocks in Jiangsu province of eastern China include olivine tholeiite and alkali basalt. We present major, trace element and Sr-Nd isotopic data as well as Ar-Ar dating of these basalts to discuss the petrogenesis of the basalts and identify the geological processes beneath the study area. On the basis of chemical compisitions and Ar-Ar dating of Cenonoic basaltic rocks from Jiangsu province, we suggest that these basalts may belong to the same magmatic system. The alkali basalts found in Jiangsu province have higher ~FeO, MgO, CaO, Na20, TiO2 and P205 and incompatible elements, but lower A1203 and compatible elements contents than olivine tholeiite which may be caused by fractional crystallization of olivine, pyroxene and minor plagioclase. In Jiangsu basaltic rocks the incompatible elements increase with decreasing MgO/~FeO ratios. The primitive mantle-normalized incompatible elements and chondrite-normalized REE patterns of basaltic rocks found in Jiangsu province are similar to those of OIB. Partial loss of the mantle lithosphere accompanied by rising of asthenospheric mantle may accelerate the generation of the basaltic magma. The 143Nd/144Nd vs. S7Sr/S6Sr plot indicates a mixing of a depleted asthenospheric mantle source and an EM1 component in the study area. According to Shaw＇s equation, the basalts from Jiangsu province may be formed by 1%-5% partial melting of a depleted asthenospheric mantle source. On the basis of Ar-Ar ages of this study and the fractional crystallization model proposed by Brooks and Nielsen （1982）, we suggest that basalts from Jiangsu province may belong to a magmatic system with JF-2 as the primitive magma which has undergone fractional crystallization and evolved progressively to produce other types of basalts.

Research question/issue:This study examines whether geographic proximity produces a proximity preference as interlocking firms observe each other and learn innovative behaviors through information transmission among interlocking *** findings/insights:We study the performance of A-share-listed companies in China from 2007 to 2017 on the basis of resource dependence theory,agglomeration effect theory,and Porter’s competitive *** target firms learn about research and development–related innovation behaviors from interlocking firms closer to them,they experience more efficient learning effects and have improved convergent ***,this proximity advantage increases the willingness of the target firm to communicate with and learn from interlocking firms closer to *** developed areas and research and development–intensive industries positively affect the learning efficiency of interlocking ***/academic implications:Our conclusion is consistent with resource dependence theory;target firms in highly developed areas are more willing to imitate and study nearby interlocking firms to maintain their peer relations,innovation potential,and *** conclusion is also consistent with competition theory,which states that the exchange of information between target firms in highly research and development–intensive industries and distant interlocking firms increases innovation differentiation,innovation potential,and competitiveness,even when such exchange has a high ***/policy implications:The results support resource dependence theory and peers’*** information obtained by interlocking directorates through external social relations guides firm decision-making,and closer distances reveal more obvious effects.

Heme oxygenase-1(ho-1) system catabolizes heme into three products:carbon monoxide,biliverdin/bilirubin and free *** is involved in many physiological and pathophysiological processes.A great deal of data has demonstrated the roles of ho-1 in the formation,growth and metastasis of *** interest in this system by investigators involved in gastrointestinal tumors is fairly recent,and few papers on ho-1 have touched upon this *** review focuses on the current understanding of the physiological significance of ho-1 induction and its possible roles in the gastrointestinal tumors studied to *** implications for possible therapeutic manipulation of ho-1 in gastrointestinal tumors are also discussed.

LRRK2, GBA and their interaction in the regulation of autophagy: implications on therapeutics in Parkinson’s disease

Mutations in leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) and glucocerebrosidase (GBA) represent two most common genetic causes of Parkinson’s disease (PD). Both genes are important in the autophagic-lysosomal pathway (ALP), defects of which are associated with α-synuclein (α-syn) accumulation. LRRK2 regulates macroautophagy via activation of the mitogen activated protein kinase/extracellular signal regulated protein kinase (MAPK/ERK) kinase (MEK) and the calcium-dependent adenosine monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathways. Phosphorylation of Rab GTPases by LRRK2 regulates lysosomal homeostasis and endosomal trafficking. Mutant LRRK2 impairs chaperone-mediated autophagy, resulting in α-syn binding and oligomerization on lysosomal membranes. Mutations in GBA reduce glucocerebrosidase (GCase) activity, leading to glucosylceramide accumulation, α-syn aggregation and broad autophagic abnormalities. LRRK2 and GBA influence each other: GCase activity is reduced in LRRK2 mutant cells, and LRRK2 kinase inhibition can alter GCase activity in GBA mutant cells. Clinically, LRRK2 G2019S mutation seems to modify the effects of GBA mutation, resulting in milder symptoms than those resulting from GBA mutation alone. however, dual mutation carriers have an increased risk of PD and earlier age of onset compared with single mutation carriers, suggesting an additive deleterious effect on the initiation of PD pathogenic processes. Crosstalk between LRRK2 and GBA in PD exists, but its exact mechanism is unclear. Drugs that inhibit LRRK2 kinase or activate GCase are showing efficacy in pre-clinical models. Since LRRK2 kinase and GCase activities are also altered in idiopathic PD (iPD), it remains to be seen if these drugs will be useful in disease modification of iPD.

Viral kinetics of Enterovirus 71 in human habdomyosarcoma cells

AIM:To characterise the viral kinetics of enterovirus 71 (EV71).METhoDS:In this study,human rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) cells were infected with EV71 at different multiplicity of infection (MOI).After infection,the cytopathic effect (CPE) was monitored and recorded using a phase contrast microscope associated with a CCD camera at different time points post viral infection (0,6,12,24 h post infection).Cell growth and viability were measured by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay in both EV71 infected and mock infected cells at each time ***71 replication kinet-ics in RD cells was determined by measuring the total intracellular viral RNA with real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR).Also,the intracellular and extracellular virion RNA was isolated and quantified at different time points to analyze the viral package and *** expression of viral protein was determined by analyze the levels of viral structure protein VP1 with Western ***:EV71 infection induced a significant CPE as early as 6 h post infection (p.i.) in both RD cells infected with high ratio of virus (MOI 10) and low ratio of virus (MOI 1).In EV71 infected cells,the cell growth was inhibited and the number of viable cells was rapidly decreased in the later phase of ***71 virions were uncoated immediately after *** intracellular viral RNA began to increase at as early as 3 h *** the exponential increase was found between 3 h to 6 h *** both infected *** viral structure protein synthesis,results from western-blot showed that intracellular viral protein VP1 could not be detected until 6 h *** the cells infected at either MOI 1 or MOI 10;and reached the peak at 9 h *** the cells infected with EV71 at both MOI 1 and MOI ***,the viral package and secretion were also actively processed as the virus underwent rapid *** viral package kinetics was comparable for both MOI 1

本文的主要目的在于讨论用蒙特卡洛方法解椭圆型方程ａ（ｐ）＞０，ｂ（ｐ）＞０，ｅ（ｐ）≤０的三类边值问题，随机变量的数学期望存在、有限和方差有限的条件。对第一、第三边值问题，证明了用变概率方法求解时，随机变量的数学期望存在、有限且方差有限，并证明二阶矩满足一差分方程，对它作了估计。对于第二‘边值问题，证明了在ｅ（ｐ）不值等于０寸，数学期望存在、有限。并且在边界上的停止概率足够小时，方差有限。最后还给出双调和方程的一蒙特卡洛解法。本文是综合了作者的学年论文与毕业论文的内容改写而成，两者都是在工建华先生的指导下完成的。
