论文以抗战时期《大公报》《救亡日报》等报道以及《南侨回忆录》等记载为资料基础,分析了陈嘉庚在中共中央南方局及其领导下的桂林、香港地区等进步新闻力量帮助下,冲破蒋介石当局层层封锁,在媒体上公开曝光福建暴政,进而团结海外华侨力量广泛参与救乡运动,并最终取得成功的历史。研究显示,陈嘉庚回国慰劳考察,尤其是访问延安这一代表性事件后发起的救乡运动,是陈嘉庚政治转向的重要因素。论文认为救乡运动是影响陈嘉庚政治认同的关键事件,对其从认同于国民党转向认同于中国共产党具有直接影响。

Effects of exercise on lipid metabolism and musculoskeletal fitness in female athletes

AIM: This study investigated the effects of intense training on lipid metabolism, bone metabolism and bone mineral density (BMD) in female athletes. METHODS: Sixty-six female subjects participated in this study,age ranging from 18 to 55 years. The sample group included thirty-six athletic subjects and the control group comprised thirty non-athletic individuals. Five athletes competed with national level (5/36) and nine non-athletic subjects (9/30) were postmenopausal women. The assessment items induded body composition, radius BND, calcaneus BND, lung function,muscular endurance, renal and liver function, bone marker assay and hormone status. All data were analysed, using SPSS 10.0 software, and were presented as mean rank statistical difference, using bhe Kurskal-Wallis (K-W) test. Alter that the non-parameter statistics were used. Either Kvalue or Pvalue below 0.05 was considered ***: Urine deoxypyridinoline/creatinine (Dpd/Cre) levels increased significantly (5.93±2.31 vs 6.85±1.43,/Kminute sit-ups with bended knees (1 min sit-ups) (17.60±9.34 count vs30.00±10.38 count,K<0.001,P<0.001), and vertical jump (25.27±6.63 cm vs 34.69±7.99cm,K<0.001, P<0.001) improved significantly in the athletes group. The athletes group also had a significantly increased level of estriol (E3) (0.14±0.13 pg/mL vs 0.07±0.04 pg/mL,K<0.01, P<0.01), radius BMD (1.37±0.49 gm/cm^2 vs 1.19±0.40gm/cm^2,K<0.05) and calcaneus BMD (0.57±0.17 gm/cm^2 vs-0.20±0.17 gm/cm^2, K<0.01, P<0.05) compared with those of the controls. The high density lipoprotein (HDL)(65.00±14.02 mg/dL vs 52.26±4.84 mg/dL,K<0.05, P<0.05)was significantly lower in postmenopausal inactive athletes(5/36) than premenopausal active athletes (31/36). Cell walls in plants,particularly forest trees,are the major carbon sink of the terrestrial *** and biosynthetic features of plant cell walls were revealed early on,focusing mostly on herbaceous model *** developments in genomics,transcriptomics,epigenomics,transgenesis,and associated analytical techniques are enabling novel insights into formation of woody cell ***,we review multilevel regulation of cell wall biosynthesis in forest tree *** highlight current approaches to engineering cell walls as potential feedstock for materials and energy and survey reported field tests of such engineered transgenic *** outline opportunities and challenges in future research to better understand cell type biogenesis for more efficient wood cell wall modification and utilization for biomaterials or for enhanced carbon capture and storage.

Master equation approach to transient quantum transport in nanostructures

In this review article, we present a non-equilibrium quantum transport theory for transient electron dynamics in nanodevices based on exact Master equation derived with the path integral method in the fermion coherent-state representation. Applying the exact Master equation to nanodevices, we also establish the connection of the reduced density matrix and the transient quantum transport current with the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green functions. The theory enables us to study transient quantum transport in nanostructures with back-reaction effects from the contacts, with non-Markovian dissipa- tion and decoherence being fully taken into account. In applications, we utilize the theory to specific quantum transport systems, a variety of quantum decoherence and quantum transport phenomena involving the non-Markovian memory effect are investigated in both transient and stationary scenarios at arbitrary initial temperatures of the contacts.

This study discusses the experimental result of the viscoplastic response and col- lapse of sharp-notched 316L stainless steel tubes with different notched depths subjected to cyclic bending. The tube bending machine and curvature-ovalization measurement apparatus were used for conducting the symmetric curvature-controlled cyclic bending. To highlight the viscoplastic behavior, three different curvature-rates, 0.0035, 0.035 and 0.35 m-1s-1, were controlled. Ob- servations of a certain curvature-rate reveal that five almost parallel lines corresponding to five different notch-depth （0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 mm） tubes were presented in the experimental relationship between the cyclic controlled curvature and the number of cycles needed to pro- duce buckling on a log-log scale. However, the slopes for the three different curvature-rates are different. An empirical formulation was proposed to simulate the aforementioned relationship. When comparing with the experimental findings, the simulation was in good agreement with the experimental data.

Application of Active Contour Model in Tracking Sequential Nearshore Waves

In the present study, a generalized active contour model of gradient vector flow is combined with the video techniques of Argus system to delineate and track sequential nearshore wave crest profiles in the shoaling process, up to their breaking on the shoreline. Previous applications of active contour models to water wave problems are limited to controllable wave tank experiments. By contrast, our application in this study is in a nearshore field environment where oblique images obtained under natural and varying condition of ambient light are employed. Existing Argus techniques produce plane image data or time series data from a selected small subset of discrete pixels. By contrast, the active contour model produces line image data along continuous visible curves such as wave crest profiles. The combination of these two existing techniques, the active contour model and Argus methodologies, facilitates the estimates of the direction wave field and phase speeds within the whole area covered by camera. These estimates are useful for the purpose of inverse calculation of the water depth. Applications of the present techniques to Hsi-tzu bay where a beach restoration program is currently undertaken are illustrated. This extension of Argus video techniques provides new application of optical remote sensing to study the hydrodynamics and morphology of a nearshore environment.
