In situ calibrated angle between the quantization axis and the propagating direction of the light field for trapping neutral atoms

The recently developed magic-intensity trapping technique of neutral atoms efficiently mitigates the detrimental effect of light shifts on atomic qubits and substantially enhances the coherence time. This technique relies on applying a bias magnetic field precisely parallel to the wave vector of a circularly polarized trapping laser field. However, due to the presence of the vector light shift experienced by the trapped atoms, it is challenging to precisely define a parallel magnetic field, especially at a low bias magnetic field strength, for the magic-intensity trapping of85Rb qubits. In this work, we present a method to calibrate the angle between the bias magnetic field and the trapping laser field with the compensating magnetic fields in the other two directions orthogonal to the bias magnetic field direction. Experimentally, with a constantdepth trap and a fixed bias magnetic field, we measure the respective resonant frequencies of the atomic qubits in a linearly polarized trap and a circularly polarized one via the conventional microwave Rabi spectra with different compensating magnetic fields and obtain the corresponding total magnetic fields via the respective resonant frequencies using the Breit–Rabi formula. With known total magnetic fields, the angle is a function of the other two compensating magnetic ***, the projection value of the angle on either of the directions orthogonal to the bias magnetic field direction can be reduced to 0(4)° by applying specific compensating magnetic fields. The measurement error is mainly attributed to the fluctuation of atomic temperature. Moreover, it also demonstrates that, even for a small angle, the effect is strong enough to cause large decoherence of Rabi oscillation in a magic-intensity trap. Although the compensation method demonstrated here is explored for the magic-intensity trapping technique, it can be applied to a variety of similar precision measurements with trapped neutral atoms.

Efficient delay based scheduling with fairness in multi-hop wireless mesh networks

Some scheduling algorithms have been designed to improve the performance of multi-hop wireless mesh networks （WMNs） recently. However the end-to-end delay is seldom considered as the complexity of multi-hop topology and open wireless shared channel. This article proposes an efficient delay based scheduling algorithm with the concept of buffer-data- hops. Considering the demand satisfaction factor（DSF）, the proposed algorithm can also achieve a good fairness performance. Moreover, with the interference-based network model, the scheduling algorithm can maximize the spatial reuse, compared to those graph-based scheduling algorithms. Detailed theoretical analysis shows that the algorithm can minimize the end-to-end delay and make a fair scheduling to all the links.

Distributed scheduling based on polling policy with maximal spatial reuse in multi-hop WMNs

The scheduling algorithm based on the three-way handshaking scheme in IEEE 802.16d-2004 standard has some serious problems because of the complexity of the algorithm and low scheduling efficiency. To enhance the scheduling efficiency and improve the performance of multi-hop wireless mesh networks （WMNs）, one distributed scheduling algorithm that can maximize the spatial and time reuse with an interference-based network model is proposed. Compared to the graph-based network model, the proposed network model can achieve a better throughput performance with maximal spatial reuse. Furthermore, this proposed scheduling algorithm also keeps fairly scheduling to all links, with a priority-based polling policy. Both the theoretical analysis and simulation results show that this proposed distributed scheduling algorithm is simple and efficient.

Zinc ion hybrid supercapacitors(ZHS)have received much attention due to the enhanced potential window range and high specific ***,the appropriate positive materials with high electrochemical performance are still a ***,NH_(4)^(+)and glycerate anions pre-inserted Mo glycerate(N-MoG)spheres are synthesized and serve as the template to form NH_(4)^(+)intercalated Ni_(3)S_(2)/Ni_(3)O_(2)(OH)_(4)@MoS_(2)core–shell nanoflower(N-NiMo-OS)in-situ grown on nickel foam(NF)(N-NiMo-OS/NF)by sulfurization *** with the product using traditional MoG as a template,N-NiMo-OS/NF inheriting a larger core structure from N-MoG delivers enhanced space for ions transport and volume expansion during the energy storage process,together with the synergistic effects of multi-components and the heterostructure,the as-prepared N-NiMo-OS/NF nanoflower exhibits excellent performance for the battery-type hybrid supercapacitors(BHS)and ZHS ***,the ZHS device delivers superior electrochemical performance to the BHS device,such as a higher specific capacity of 327.5 mAh·g^(−1)at 1 A·g^(−1),a preeminent energy density of 610.6 Wh·kg^(−1)at 1710 W·kg^(−1),long cycle *** in-situ Raman,ex-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),theoretical calculation demonstrate the extra Zn^(2+)insertion/extraction storage mechanism provides enhanced electrochemical performance for ZHS ***,the dual-ion pre-inserted strategy can be extended for other advanced electrode materials in energy storage fields.

Effects of ferrosilicon alloy,Si content of steel,and slag basicity on compositions of inclusions during ladle furnace refining of Al-killed steel

To obtain solid Al2O3 or MgO·Al2O3 inclusions in ladle furnace(LF)refining process and achieve ultra-low total oxygen content in steel through subsequent Ruhrstahl Heraeus degassing,the effects of ferrosilicon alloy,Si content of steel,and slag basicity on the compositions of inclusions during LF refining were investigated in Al-killed ***2O3 inclusions could be transformed into CaO-Al2O3-MgO-CaS inclusions after adding ferrosilicon alloy in the LF refining process as this alloy contains some CaSi alloy *** addition of all ferrosilicon alloys required for the steel in the tapping process could eliminate the influence of Ca in ferrosilicon alloy on the compositions of *** in liquid steel had a significant influence on the compositions of inclusions during LF refining when CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-MgO slag with high basicity of 7.0 was *** was because[Ca]produced by the reaction of CaO and[Al]could be consumed more readily by SiO2 in Si-free steel than in Si-containing steel,which was confirmed by the difference of total calcium content between Si-free and Si-containing *** a result,Al2O3 and MgO·Al2O3 inclusions were retained in Si-free steel,whereas calcium aluminate inclusions were found in Si-containing *** CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-MgO slag with low basicity of 2.8,Al2O3 and MgO·Al2O3 inclusions were obtained after LF refining in Si-containing steel when all ferrosilicon alloys required for the steel were added in the tapping *** was because the reaction of CaO and[Al]was weak,and residual[Ca]in the steel could be rapidly consumed by SiO2 in low-basicity slag owing to the low activity of CaO and high activity of SiO2,leading to a low total calcium content of 0.0003%in Si-containing steel.

Signature Based on Six Autophagy-related Genes to Predict Prognosis of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Objective The present study aimed to develop an autophagy-related gene prognostic prediction model to provide survival risk prediction for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)*** The K-mean cluster analysis was performed on HNSCC samples based on the expression values of 210 autophagy-related genes for candidate signature gene *** Cox regression analysis was generated using the potential genes and the risk score was calculated from the prognosis *** risk score was processed as an independent prognostic indicator to construct the nomogram *** immune status including immune cell infiltration ratio and checkpoints of patients with HNSCC in high-and low-risk groups was also *** LASSO Cox regression analysis was performed on the selected autophagy-related *** to the lambda value corresponding to the number of different genes in the LASSO Cox analysis,six genes(GABARAPL2,SAR1A,ST13,GAPDH,FADD and LAMP1)were finally *** risk score based on the genes was generated,which was an independent prognostic marker for *** prognostic prediction model(nomogram)was further optimized by the independent prognostic factors(risk score),which can better predict the prognosis and survival of *** the risk score and prognosis model,eight types of immune cells and six key immune checkpoints(CTLA4,PD1,IDO1,TDO2,LAG3,TIGIT)displayed expression *** This study identified several potential prognostic biomarkers and established an autophagy-related prognostic prediction model for HNSCC,which provides a valuable reference for future clinical research.

Numerical simulation of fluid flow and free surface fluctuations during wheel and belt casting process

The unstable fluid flow and severe free surface fluctuations in the wheel and belt caster can affect the quality of the cast *** lower level height tends to entrap inclusions in the molten *** the other hand,the higher level height makes the production process more dangerous due to the overflow of high temperature fluid from the mold.A computational model of the molten metal pouring process was *** transient fluid flow and free surface fluctuations behavior were calculated using the three-dimensional large eddy simulation model and the volume of fluid *** results show that the flow velocity of the main jet gradually decreases under the influence of the low kinetic energy fluid in the *** is an obvious oscillation in the tail of the jet,while the flow field is asymmetric in *** jet is closer to the inside radius side due to the Coanda effect,and there is a recirculation zone on the inside radius and the outside radius respectively,according to the 10 s time-averaged *** with the industrial observation and simulation results,the shape of the free surface is a wave that varies with *** addition,the free surface height is lowest and the flow velocity is highest in the region near the jet.

Thermal and mechanical behavior of casting copper alloy wheel during wheel and belt continuous casting process

To investigate the thermal and mechanical behavior of casting wheel,a two-dimensional thermoelastic-plastic finite element model was used to predict the temperature,stress and distortion distribution of the casting wheel during the wheel and belt continuous casting *** effects of grinding thickness and casting speed on the thermal and mechanical behaviors of the center of the hot face of the casting wheel were discussed in *** each rotation,the casting wheel passes through four different spray *** results show that the temperature distribution of the casting wheel in different spray zones is similar,the temperature of the hot face is the highest and the temperature reaches the peak in the spray zoneⅢ.The stress and distortion depend on the temperature distribution,and the maximum stress and distortion of the hot face are 358.2 MPa and 1.82 mm,*** temperature at the center of the hot face decreases with increasing grinding thickness and increases with increasing casting speed.

Rare recurrent gallstone ileus: A case report

BACKGROUND The management of recurrent gallstone ileus(GSI)is unsatisfactory,and there is no consensus on how to reduce the incidence of recurrent *** SUMMARY A 79-year-old man presented to the Emergency Department of our hospital complaining of abdominal *** abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan revealed cholecystolithiasis,intrahepatic bile duct dilatation,gas accumulation,small intestinal obstruction,and circular high-density shadow in the intestinal *** surgery revealed that the small intestine had extensive adhesions,unclear gallbladder exposure,obvious adhesions,and difficult *** obstruction was located 70 cm between the ileum and the ileocecum,which was incarcerated by gallstones,and a simple enterolithotomy was carried *** the third day after the operation,he had passed gas and defecated and had begun a liquid *** the fifth day after the operation,he suddenly experienced abdominal distension and *** CT examination revealed recurrent GSI,and the diameter of the stone was approximately 2.0 cm(consistent with the shape of cholecystolithiasis on the abdominal CT scan before the first operation).The patient’s symptoms were not significantly relieved after conservative *** the ninth day after the operation,emergency enterolithotomy was performed again along the original surgical *** the twentieth day after the second operation,the patient fully recovered and was discharged from the *** We believe that a thorough examination of the bowel and gallbladder for gallstones based on preoperative imaging during surgery and removal of them as far as possible on the premise of ensuring the safety of patients are an effective strategy to reduce the recurrence of GSI.
