In this paper,a supervisory computer network for Borneo-Wide Power Grid system have been proposed and implemented,which includes a renewable power generation and advanced metering *** Internet-based communication network running on multi-protocol label switching(MPLS)has been implemented for a smart power grid,with the addition of the renewable energy monitoring *** centralized supervisory control and data acquisition systems(SCADA)are replaced by a wide area monitoring system(WAMS)comprising of a phasor measurement unit(PMU).The implemented communication network used advanced metering infrastructure that operates on worldwide interoperability for microwave access(WiMAX),wireless fidelity(Wi-Fi)and low power Wi-Fi,which are proposed for the distribution systems of Sarawak *** proposed wide area network(WAN)is simulated using OPNET Modeler and the results are compared with the existing WAN used by Sarawak Energy.

The availability of better economic possibilities and well-connected transportation networks has attracted people to migrate to peri-urban and rural neighbourhoods,changing the landscape of regions outside the city and fostering the growth of physical *** multi-temporal satellite images,the dynamics of Land Use/Land Cover(LULC)changes,the impact of urban growth on LULC changes,and regional environmental implications were investigated in the peri-urban and rural neighbourhoods of Durgapur Municipal Corporation in *** study used different case studies to highlight the study area’s heterogeneity,as the phenomenon of change is not *** TM and OLI-TIRS satellite images in 1991,2001,2011,and 2021 were used to analyse the changes in LULC *** used the relative deviation(RD),annual change intensity(ACI),uniform intensity(UI)to show the dynamicity of LULC types(agriculture land;built-up land;fallow land;vegetated land;mining area;and water bodies)during *** study also applied the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory(DEMATEL)to measure environmental sensitivity zones and find out the causes of LULC *** to LULC statistics,agriculture land,built-up land,and mining area increased by 51.7,95.46,and 24.79 km^(2),respectively,from 1991 to *** results also suggested that built-up land and mining area had the greatest land surface temperature(LST),whereas water bodies and vegetated land showed the lowest ***,this study looked at the relationships among LST,spectral indices(Normalized Differenced Built-up Index(NDBI),Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI),and Normalized Difference Water Index(NDWI)),and environmental *** results showed that all of the spectral indices have the strongest association with LST,indicating that built-up land had a far stronger influence on the *** spectral indices indicated that the decreasing trends of vegetated land and water bodies were 4.26

Functional,porous metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted much attention as a very flexible class of crystalline,porous *** more advanced applications that exploit photophysical properties,the fabrication of hierarchical assemblies,including the creation of MOF/MOF heterointerfaces,is *** the manufacturing of superstructures with length scales well beyond that of the MOF pore size,layer-by-layer(Ibl)methods are particularly *** allow the isoreticular approach to be extended to superstructures with micrometer length scales,a range that is not accessible using conventional MOF *** Ibl approach further substantially extends the compositional diversity in *** the same time,the favorable elastic properties of MOFs allow for heteroepitaxial growth,even in the case of lattice misfits as large as 20%.While the MOF-on-MOF approach to designing multicomponent superstructures with synergistic multifunctionality can also be realized with sophisticated solvothermal synthesis schemes,the Ibl(or liquid-phase epitaxy)approach carries substantial advantages,in particular when it comes to the integration of such MOF superstructures into optical or electronic *** the structure vertical to the substrate can be adjusted using the Ibl method,photolithographic methods can be used for lateral *** this review,we will discuss the Ibl liquid-phase epitaxy approach to growing surface-anchored MOF thins films(SURMOFs)as well as other relevant one-pot synthesis methods for constructing such hierarchically designed structures and their emerging applications.

The expression ofβ-lactamase,particularly metallo-β-lactamase(MBL)in bacteria has caused significant resistance to clinically importantβ-lactam antibiotics,including life-saving *** peptides(AMPs)have emerged as promising therapeutic agents to combat antibiotic ***,the cytotoxic AMPs has been one of the major concerns for their applications in clinical ***,we report a novel cephalosporin-caged AMP,which shows significantly reduced cytotoxicity,hemolytic activity,and antibacterial activity but turns highly active against bacteria upon specific hydrolysis by the antimicrobial resistance-causativeβ-*** investigations demonstrate thisβ-lactamaseactivatable AMP selectively inactivates resistant bacterial pathogens over susceptible *** strategy should be applicable to other AMPs as a potential solution for the treatment of infectious diseases caused byβ-lactamase-expressing pathogenic bacteria.

The maximum possibility of utilizing the Indian coking coals and inferior grade coking coal for producing metallurgical coke through non-recovery stamp charging tech_nology was investigated. Indian indigenous coals contained low percent of vitrinite （〈50%） and higher content of ash （〉15%） compared to imported coking coal. Therefore, the selection of appropriate proportion of different types of coals was a major challenge for coke makers. Coal blend selection criterion based on a single coefficient, named as composite coking potential （CCP）, was developed. The use of increased proportion of semi-soft coal （crucible swelling number of 2.5） and high ash （≥15%） indigenous coal in the range of 20%- 35% and 20%-65% respectively in the blends resulted in good quality of coke. Plant data of a non recovery coke oven were used for developing and validating the model. The results showed that the coke strength after reaction （CSR） varied in the range of 63.7%-67.7% and the M40 value was between 81.8 and 89.3 in both the cases.

In this paper TCAD-based simulation of a novel insulated shallow extension （ISE） cylindrical gate all around （CGAA） Schottky barrier （SB） MOSFET has been reported, to eliminate the suicidal ambipolar behavior （bias-dependent OFF state leakage current） of conventional SB-CGAA MOSFET by blocking the metal-induced gap states as well as unwanted charge sharing between source/channel and drain/channel regions. This novel structure offers low barrier height at the source and offers high ON-state current. The IoN/Iovr： of ISE-CGAA-SB-MOS- FET increases by 1177 times and offers steeper subthreshold slope （-60 mV/decade）. However a little reduction in peak cut off frequency is observed and to further improve the cut-off frequency dual metal gate architecture has been employed and a comparative assessment of single metal gate, dual metal gate, single metal gate with ISE, and dual metal gate with ISE has been presented. The improved performance of Schottky barrier CGAA MOSFET by the incorporation of ISE makes it an attractive candidate for CMOS digital circuit design. The numerical simulation is performed using the ATLAS-3D device simulator.

AIM: To find out the effect of Cat's whiskers (Cleome gynandra L., Capparidaceae) flavonoid (CWF) for the scavenging of free radicals in some inflammatory cells. METHODS: Mouse erythrocyte's hemoglobin, peritoneal macrophage, and peripheral blood lymphocytes were oxidized either by some of toxic chemicals (nitrite, carbon tetrachloride) or by enzymatic stimulation (glu- coseoxidase) to produce oxidative damage to cells. The protective effect of the CWF was examined, and the biochemical mechanism of action was also investigated in terms of the scavenging of free radicals. RESULTS: CWF (1 20 μg mL 1 ) decreased glucoseoxidase and nitrite induce oxidative damage in a concentration dependent manner in an in vitro model and inhibited the lysis of RBC [(28.64 ± 13.03)% and (70.31 ± 1.80)%] when mice were treated with CWF (25 and 50 mg kg 1 ). To assess the antioxidant potential of CWF in the lymphocytes and macrophages in living animals, the effect of CWF was measured on the elevated level of superoxide anions production in the cells. CWF scavenged the superoxide anion (O 2 ) production and inhibited the O 2 induced destruction of protein and lipid biomolecules. CONCLUSION: The study has established that the CWF mediates its antioxidant activity in some chronic inflammatory cells via its free radical scavenging activity.

The aim of this work was to compare the efficacy of a commercially available phytogenic feed additive(PFA) and an antibiotic growth promoter, which was bacitracin methylene disalicylate(BMD), on performance, nutrient retention, caecal colonization of bacteria and humoral immune responses against Newcastle disease in broiler chickens challenged orally with Salmonella enteritidis and Escherichia ***-day-old male Cobb 400 broiler chicks(n = 120) were fed with 1) a negative control(NC) diet, which is the basal diet without any added growth promoter, 2) a positive control(PC) diet, the basal diet supplemented with BMD, 500 mg/kg and 3) a diet supplemented with PFA(150 mg/kg) for 39 days and the birds were inoculated with S. enteritidis and E. coli on d 28. Supplementation of PFA improved body weight, feed conversion ratio, retention of N and crude fiber, increased fecal moisture content and decreased digesta transit time as compared with the NC and PC groups(P <0.01). Both the PC and the PFA was found to be equally effective in controlling the surge in numbers of Salmonella and E. coli following oral inoculation of these bacteria as compared with the NC group(P <0.05) at 24 h past inoculation. Caecal content analysis on d 39 indicated lower numbers of Salmonella, E. coli and Clostridium in the PC and PFA groups as compared with the NC group(P <0.05). The number of Lactobacillus in the PFA group was higher than those in the NC and PC groups(P <0.05). Humoral immune response,measured as hemagglutination inhibition titer against Newcastle disease, was better in the PC and PFA groups compared with the NC group(P <0.05) at d 21 but the difference did not last till d 39. The heterophil to lymphocyte ratio was narrower(P <0.001) and alkaline phosphatase activity was higher(P <0.01) in the PFA group as compared with the NC and PC groups on d 39. Spatio-temporal behaviours of tropical cyclones over the bay of Bengal Basin in last five decades

Present research is an endeavour to scrutinise the spatio-temporal climatic characteristics of tropical cyclones(TCs)bustle in the Bay of Bengal basin,found in RSMC-IMD data all through 1971–2020.A large number of TCs,i.e.121 with a decadal average of 35.2 TCs has been examined for the last 50 years where depression(D)and deep depression(DD)have not been taken into account as these are less violent in *** the study periods,inter-annual and inter-decadal variation in cyclogenesis,landfall,length,speed,track shape and sinuosity,energy metrics and damage profile have been *** study is clearly showing TCs took the northward track during the pre-monsoon season and made their landfall across the coasts of Bangladesh and Myanmar,while post-monsoon TCs made their landfall directly on the coasts of Orissa and West *** the post-monsoon phase,VF,ACE and PDI are significantly higher than in the monsoon season in the case of TCs and higher in the pre-monsoon season than in the monsoon season in the case of TCs comparing the energy metrics in different *** activity is comparatively pronounced during La Niña and El Niño regimes respectively and the genesis position in the BoB is moves to the east(west)of 87°*** the cold regime,the number of extreme TC above the VSCS category,increased *** is believed that the research findings will help stakeholders of the nation to take accurate strides to combat such violent events with persistent intensification.
