Design patterns are often used in the development of object-oriented software. It offers reusable abstract information that is helpful in solving recurring design problems. Detecting design patterns is beneficial to the comprehension and maintenance of object-oriented software systems. Several pattern detection techniques based on static analysis often encounter problems when detecting design patterns for identical structures of patterns. In this study, we attempt to detect software design patterns by using software metrics and classification-based techniques. Our study is conducted in two phases： creation of metrics-oriented dataset and detection of software design patterns. The datasets are prepared by using software metrics for the learning of classifiers. Then, pattern detection is performed by using classification-based techniques. To evaluate the proposed method, experiments are conducted using three open source software programs, JHotDraw, QuickUML, and JUnit, and the results are analyzed.

Viruses are obligate intracellular entities that require a living host and its machinery for *** replication,viral components known as pathogen-associated molecular patterns(PAMPs)are sensed by a family of innate immune sensors or pattern recognition receptors(PRRs)and promote an antiviral *** nucleic acids are one of the key PAMPs sensed by cytosolic RIG-I-like receptors(RLRs),Cyclic GMP-AMP Synthase(cGAS),Absent In Melanoma 2(AIM2),Interferon Gamma Inducible Protein 16(IFI16),and Z-DNA Binding Protein 1(ZBP1 or DAI)and endosome-localized Toll-like receptors(TLR3,7,8,and 9).1 Recognition of viral RNA by Retinoic acid-inducible gene I(RIG-I),Melanoma differentiation associated gene 5(MDA5),and TLR3,7,and 8 or viral DNA by TLR9,cGAS,AIM2,IFI16,and DAI triggers a cascade of signaling events to recruit transcription factors,interferon regulatory factors and NF-κ*** IRF3/7 and NF-κB translocate to the nucleus and induce expression of type I and III interferons and proinflammatory cytokines,respectively.1 The production of these interferons is further enhanced in an autocrine and paracrine manner through the JAK-STAT signaling *** I and III interferons further induce interferoninducible genes,and together with proinflammatory cytokines,they develop an antiviral *** antiviral state is characterized by by apoptosis of virally infected cells and inhibition of the cellular protein synthesis machinery,making the uninfected cells resistant to viral infection and initiates virus-specific adaptive immune responses(Fig.1a).

In this paper, we present classical molecular dynamics （MD） simulations of model polymer/CNT composites constructed by embedding a single wall （10,10） CNT into two different amorphous polymer matrices： poly（methyl methacrylate） and poly{（m-phenylene-vinylene）-co- [（2,5-dioctoxy-p-phenylene） vinylene]}, respectively, with different volume fractions. The simulation results support the idea that it is possible to use CNTs to mechanically reinforce an appropri- ate polymer matrix, especially in the longitudinal direction of the nanotube. The comparison of the simulation results with the macroscopic rule-of-mixtures for composite systems showed that for strong interfacial interactions, there can be large deviations of the results from the rule-of- mixtures. In order to verify this study, results obtained have been compared with those given by Elliott and Han （2007）.

The unequivocal identification of soft-sediment deformation structures(SSDS)is a significant attribute to constrain the effect of transient geological events in the spatio-temporal evolution of ancient sedimentary *** paper reports and discusses,for the first time,the occurrence of several cm-to dm-scale SSDS within sandstone successions of the Mesoproterozoic Kaimur Group(Vindhyan Supergroup),exposed at the Hanumandhara Hill of Chitrakoot-Satna border region,Madhya Pradesh State,*** SSDS are confined to a deformed interval comprising seven individual sedimentary units of variable composition and texture,which are sandwiched between nearly horizontally undeformed sandstone *** SSDS consist of load structures(load casts,flame structures,pseudonodules and ball-and-pillow structures),contorted lamination,convolute lamination,boudins and pinch-and-swell structures,deformed cross-stratification,slump structures,clastic injections,fluid escape structures,and syn-sedimentary fractures/*** pre-sent study suggests that the formation of these SSDS is essentially related to a combination of processes(gravitational instability,liquefaction,fluidization,and fluid escape)predominantly induced by seismic *** addition,the restricted occurrence of fractures/faults in these deformed layers emphasizes the passage of seismically-induced Rayleigh *** the observed types of SSDS,their lateral homo-geneity and geographic distribution along with the geodynamic framework of the Vindhyan Basin,the whole area can be tentatively attributed to having experienced moderate-to high-magnitude(M≥5)*** present study combined with earlier reports of seismically-induced SSDS,from other regionally disposed formations belonging to the Lower(e.g.,Kajrahat Limestone,Chopan Porcellanite,Koldaha Shale,Rohtas Limestone,and Glauconitic Sandstone of the Semri Group)and Upper(e.g.,Bhander Limestone of the Bhander Group)Vindhyan Supergroup,respectively,provi

Sequestration of CO2 in deep and unmineable coal seams is one of the attractive alternatives to reduce its atmospheric concentration. Injection of CO2 in coal seams may help in enhancing the recovery of coalbed methane. An experimental study has been carried out using coal samples from three different coal seams, to evaluate the enhanced gas recovery and sequestration potential of these coals. The coals were first saturated with methane and then by depressurization some of the adsorbed methane was desorbed. After partial desorption, CO2 was injected into the coals and subsequently they were depressurized again. Desorption of methane after the injections was studied, to investigate the ability of CO2 to displace and enhance the recovery of methane from the coals. The coals exhibited varying behavior of adsorption of CO2 and release of methane. For one coal, the release of methane was enhanced by injection of CO2, suggesting preferential adsorption of CO2 and desorption of methane. For the other two coals, CO2 injection did not produce incremental methane initially, as there was initial resistance to methane release. However with continued CO2 injection, most of the remaining methane was produced. The study suggested that preferential sorption behavior of coal and enhanced gas recovery pattern could not be generalized for all coals.

In this paper, a mathematical model for Love wave propagation in a porous elastic layer under a rigid boundary resting over a poro-elastic half-space has been developed. The study shows that such a medium transmits two types of Love waves. The first front depends on the change in volume fraction of the pores whereas the second front depends upon the modulus of rigidity of the elastic matrix of the medium and is the same as the Love wave in an elastic layer over an elastic half-space. It is observed that the first front is many times faster than the shear wave in the medium with void pores due to the change in the volume fraction of the pores and is significant.

This paper proposes an improved sine-cosine algorithm(ISCA)based 2-DOF-PID controller for load frequency control.A three-area test system is built for study,while some physical constraints(nonlinearities)are considered for the investigation of a realistic power *** proposed method is used as the parameter optimizer of the LFC control-ler in different *** 2-DOF-PID controllers are used because of their capability of fast disturbance rejection without significant increase of overshoot in set-point *** 2-DOF-PID controllers’efficacy is observed by examining the responses with the outcomes obtained with PID and FOPID *** simulation results with the suggested scheme are correlated with some of the existing algorithms,such as SCA,SSA,ALO,and PSO in three dif-ferent scenarios,i.e.,a disturbance in two areas,in three areas,and in the presence of physical *** addition,the study is extended to a four-area power *** analysis is performed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test(WSRT)on 20 independent *** confirms the supremacy of the proposed method.

India is currently producing crude oil from matured fields because of insufficient discoveries of new ***,in order to control the energy crisis in India,enhanced oil recovery(EOR)techniques are required to reduce the import of crude from the OPEC(Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries).This review mentions chemical EOR techniques(polymers,surfactants,alkali,nanoparticles,and combined alkali-surfactant-polymer flooding)and operations in *** EOR methods are one of the most efficient methods for oil *** efficiency is enhanced by interfacial tension(IFT)reduction using surfactants and alkali,and mobility control of injected water is done by adding a polymer to increase the volumetric sweep *** paper also reviews the current trend of chemical EOR,prospects of chemical EOR in Indian oilfields,the development of chemical EOR in India with their challenges raising with economics,and screening criteria for chemical EOR implementation on the field ***,the review gives a brief idea about chemical EOR implementation in Indian oilfields in future prospects to increase the additional oil recovery from existing depleted fields to reduce the import of crude *** outcome of this review depicts all chemical EOR operations and recovery rates both at the laboratory scale and field scale around the *** additional recovery rates are compared from various chemical EOR methods like conventional chemical flooding methods and conventional chemicals combined with nanoparticles on a laboratory *** development of chemical EOR in the past few decades and the EOR policy given by the government of India has been mentioned in this *** analysis provides an idea about enhanced recovery screening and implementation of chemical EOR methods in existing fields will significantly reduce the energy crisis in India.
