The effects of large strain and strain path reversal on the deformation microstructure evolution in austenite below the recrystallisation temperature were studied by hot torsion using a non-transforming Fe-30wt%Ni model austenitic *** show that the high angle boundaries (HABs) can be generated by both microstructure mechanism through dislocation accumulation and texture mechanism via subgrain ***,multiple strain path reversals lead to less well-developed HABs in the original grains compared to single reversal deformed to the same amount of total accumulative *** effect is attributed to the subgrain rotation mechanism being less effective at small *** comparison,the same hot torsion tests were conducted using a microalloyed steel at a temperature between Ae 3 and Ar *** single strain path reversal,substantial deformation-induced austenite-to-ferrite phase transformation was ***,a test with multiple strain path reversals but with the same total strain produces much lower levels of strain-induced ferrite *** difference is correlated to the observations made in the Fe-30wt%Ni model *** is believed that the different amount of strain-induced ferrite originated from the different levels of strain-induced HABs within the austenite which act as ferrite nucleation sites.

This paper addresses the problem of robust iterative learning control design for a class of uncertain multiple-input multipleoutput discrete linear systems with actuator faults. The stability theory for linear repetitive processes is used to develop formulas for gain matrices design, together with convergent conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities. An extension to deal with model uncertainty of the polytopic or norm bounded form is also developed and an illustrative example is given.

The spatial diffusion of information is a process governed by the flow of interpersonal *** emergence of the Internet and especially social media platforms has reshaped this process and previous research has studied how online social networks contribute to the diffusion of *** such processes can help devise methods to maximize or control the reach of information or even identify upcoming events and social *** activities in cyberspace are still confined to physical locations and this geographic connection tends to be *** this research,we focus on geographic regions instead of individuals and study how the underlying hierarchical structure of regions relates to their response to the *** examined the top 30 populated cities and metropolitan areas in the *** retrieved Twitter data related to two selected topics from these regions,the 2015 Nepal Earthquake and the#JesuisCharlie hashtag in response to the Paris attacks on the Charlie Hebdo *** analyzed the similarity among regions of their response using multiple statistical methods and three urban *** results indicate that the diffusion of information is impacted by the hierarchy of urban regions and that the Twitter responses act more similar when the populated regions are positioned at the same level in the urban hierarchy.

Wind and solar energy are two popular forms of renewable energy used in microgrids and facilitating the transition towards net-zero carbon emissions by ***,they are exceedingly unpredictable since they rely highly on weather and atmospheric *** microgrids,smart energy management systems,such as integrated demand response programs,are permanently established on a step-ahead basis,which means that accu-rate forecasting of wind speed and solar irradiance intervals is becoming increasingly crucial to the optimal operation and planning of *** this in mind,a novel“bidirectional long short-term memory network”(Bi-LSTM)-based,deep stacked,sequence-to-sequence autoencoder(S2SAE)forecasting model for predicting short-term solar irradiation and wind speed was developed and evaluated in *** create a deep stacked S2SAE prediction model,a deep Bi-LSTM-based encoder and decoder are stacked on top of one another to reduce the dimension of the input sequence,extract its features,and then reconstruct it to produce the *** of the proposed deep stacked S2SAE forecasting model were optimized using the Bayesian optimization ***,the forecasting performance of the proposed Bi-LSTM-based deep stacked S2SAE model was compared to three other deep,and shallow stacked S2SAEs,i.e.,the LSTM-based deep stacked S2SAE model,gated recurrent unit-based deep stacked S2SAE model,and Bi-LSTM-based shallow stacked S2SAE *** these models were also optimized and modeled in *** results simulated based on actual data confirmed that the proposed model outperformed the alternatives by achieving an accuracy of up to 99.7%,which evidenced the high reliability of the proposed forecasting.
