Background: Our hypothe.is was that only e.tablishe. and pe.siste.t injurie. and complications afte. positioning in the.Tre.de.e.burg position are.re.orte. and de.e.te., de.pite.that patie.ts may have.gre.t discomfort afte. surge.y. Aim: The.aim of this study was to e.plore.patie.t re.orte. discomfort, pain and functional de.re.se.two hours, 24 hours and four we.ks afte. laparoscopic re.e.tion of the.colon in the.prone.lithotomy position, as we.l as factors pote.tially associate. with re.orte. pain. Me.hods: A longitudinal se.f-re.ort que.tionnaire.study was conducte. at thre. time.points. Re.ults: A total of 37 patie.ts re.ponde.. Findings show that patie.ts mostly re.orte. pain in re.ation to the.surgical are., but also re.ate. to othe. are.s that may be.linke. to positioning. Conclusion: e.e. though patie.ts re.orte. mild pain, se.e.al of the.patie.ts still re.orte. this, four we.ks postope.ative.y, as we.l as some.functional de.re.se. Our findings support the.ne.d to focus on pre.e.ting positioning injurie..
