An estimation of the penetration rate of rotary drills using the Specific Rock Mass Drillability index

The main purpose of the present study was to provide a practical, convenient drillability prediction model based on rock mass characteristics, geological sampling from blast holes, and drill operational factors. Empirical equations that predict drill penetration rate have been developed using statistical analyses of data from the Sarcheshmeh Copper Mine. Seven parameters of the rock or rock mass, including uniaxial compressive strength （UCS） of the rock, Schmidt hammer hardness value, quartz content, fragment size （dso）, alteration, and joint dip, are included in the model along with two operational parameters of the rotary drill, bit rotational speed and thrust. These parameters were used to predict values of the newly developed Specific Rock Mass Drillability （SRMD） index. Comparing measured SRMD values to those pre- dicted by the multi-parameter linear, or nonlinear, regression models showed good agreement. The cor- relation coefficients were 0.82 and 0.81. resoectively.

Mathematical models and computer simulations are useful experimental tools for building and testing theories. Many mathematical models in biology can be formulated by a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations. This work deals with the numerical solution of the hantavirus infection model, the human immunodeficiency virus （HIV） infection model of CD4^＋T cells and the susceptible-infected-removed （SIR） epidemic model using a new reliable algorithm based on shifted Boubaker Lagrangian （SBL） method. This method reduces the solution of such system to a system of linear or non- linear algebraic equations which are solved using the Newton iteration method. The obtained results of the proposed method show highly accurate and valid for an arbitrary finite interval. Also, those are compared with fourth-order Runge-Kutta （RK4） method and with the solutions obtained by some other methods in the literature.

Objective:To explore the co-detection of natural infection of Trypanosomatidae parasites such as Leishmania and Crithidia in reservoir hosts of ***:Rodent populations were monitored in two endemic foci of cutaneous leishmaniasis of Fars province,southern Iran from March to October *** were trapped alive in several parts of Shiraz and Kharameh ***,their organs were prepared for detection of Leishmania and Crithidia species by molecular,microscopic,and culture ***:Totally,115rodents of five species;Tatera indica(***)(85),Rattus rattus(12),Meriones libycus(9).Mus musculus(7),and Rattus norvegicus(2),were trapped alive and their tissue samples were examined using microscopic,cultivation,and molecular ***,59(51.3%)rodents were positive for Leishmania or Crithidia *** highest rate(61.2%;52/85)of Leishmania infection was related to the *** *** cultivatioin,and molecular observations showed that two(2.4%;2/85)of ***(foot-pad,and spleen samples)were positive to ***:This is the first report of Crithidia infection in *** in ***,more epidemiological and ecological studies are needed to understand the role of Crithidia and Leishmania in ***.

AIM： To determine the relationship between abduction deficit and reoperation among patients with infantile esotropia （IET）. METHODS： The records of 216 patients （432 eyes） with lET who underwent surgery, from 2010 to 2015 were studied. Patients with lET whose deviation appeared before 6mo of age and had stable preoperative deviation in two examinations with at least 2wk apart and a minimum 3too postoperative follow up were included. Cases with early onset accommodative esotropia, congenital cataract, retinopathy of prematurity （ROP）, manifest nystagmus, fundus lesions, neurologic and ophthalmic anomalies, 6th nerve palsy and Duane＇s syndrome were excluded. Preoperative abduction deficit was considered from -1 to -3 grading scale. Three months after surgery, children were classified into no-need reoperation [deviation〈15 prism diopters （PD）], and need-reoperation groups （deviaUon〉15 PD）. RESULTS： In this retrospective study, 117 female and 99 male patients with the mean surgical age of 4.7±6.4y were included. Reoperation rate was 33.3% and 16.0% in lET patients with and without abduction deficit, respectively in patients who had a history of late surgery. Abduction deficit increased the odds of reoperation by 82% [OR=1.82, 95% confidence interval （CI） =1.05 to 3.19, P=0.003] in patients who had a history of late surgery （〉2 years old, P=0.021）. Abduction deficit was improved significantly after operation （P〈0.001）. CONCLUSION： Based on our results, abduction deficit can be considered as a risk factor of reoperation in lET patients who are operated at the age of more than 2y.

The simulation and experimental results obtained from stretching test of a commercial sheet of AA1200 aluminum alloy were compared and evaluated. Uniaxial tensile tests were carried out to obtain the required input parameters for simulation. Finite element analysis of the forming process was carried out using Abaqus/Explicit by considering von Mises and Hill-1948 yield criteria. Simulation results including punch force and strain distribution were compared and validated with the experimental results. The results reveal that using anisotropic yield criteria for simulation has a better match in both cases with the experiments.

In this paper, the nonlinear Hunter–Saxton equation, which is a famous partial differential equation,is solved by using a hybrid numerical method based on the quasilinearization method and the bivariate generalized fractional order of the Chebyshev functions(B-GFCF) collocation method. First, using the quasilinearization method,the equation is converted into a sequence of linear partial differential equations(LPD), and then these LPDs are solved using the B-GFCF collocation method. A very good approximation of solutions is obtained, and comparisons show that the obtained results are more accurate than the results of other researchers.

Objective: Nursing profession conventionally meets a high standard of ethical behavior and action. One of the ethical challenges in nursing profession is moral distress. Nurses frequently expose to this phenomenon which leads to different consequences such as being bored by delivering patient care that decline care quality and make it challenging to achieve health purposes. This study was conducted to investigate the association between the aspects of moral distress and care ***: In this descriptive–analytical study, 545 nurses of intensive and cardiac care units and dialysis and psychiatric wards were recruited by census sampling. Three questionnaires, Sociodemographics, Moral Distress Scale, and Quality Patient Care Scale, were distributed among the participants and collected within 9 months. Data analysis was conducted by descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and the least significant difference in SPSS ***: Investigating moral distress domains(ignoring patient, decision-making power, and professional competence) and care quality domains(psychosocial, physical, and communicational) demonstrated that in being exposed to moral distress, ignoring patient had no effect on psychosocial domain(P=0.056), but decision-making and professional competence of moral distress had positive effect on psychosocial, physical(bodily), and communication domains of care ***: Because moral distress domains are effective on patient care quality, it is recommended to enhance the knowledge of nurses, especially beginners, about moral distress, increase their strength alongside standardizing nursing services in decisionmaking domains, improve the professional competence, and pay attention to patients.

Objective: To identify the medicinal plants effective in infectious ***: Initially, we obtained a list of herbalists and traditional healers from Food and Drug Deputy. Direct observations and interviews as well as collection of herbarium specimens of indigenous medicinal plants effective in infectious diseases of urinary tract,reproductive, digestive, respiratory and skin systems were performed. This study was conducted through questionnaires and interviews; the questionnaires were distributed among traditional healers and simultaneous interviews were also run. The plants were herbariumized, herbarium specimens were authenticated, and their species were determined by using reliable flora and other sources. Finally, the data were input into Excel2010 and analyses were ***: Out of the studied plants, 35 native medicinal plants belonging to 17 families were effective in the treatment of various diseases and infections. In this study, the Lamiaceae family had the highest frequency of plants for the treatment of *** healers of Urmia in 24% of cases used the leaves of medicinal herb to treat patients. In 68% of cases, they prescribed medicinal herbs in the boiled forms. Most medicinal herbs showed therapeutic effect on the digestive ***: Traditional medicinal sources, valuable knowledge of traditional healers in Urmia, the scientific investigation of the effects of the herbs offered in this study and their effects in traditional medicine may provide a good source for new drugs in modern medicine.

In this paper a real-time testbed using hardware-in-the-loop for the analysis of the effects of DGs （distributed generators） on microgrids is presented. The distribution network is implemented in SIMULINK using the IEEE 15-node distribution feeder connected to two DGs feeding the grid using two smart inverters. The inverters＇ active and reactive power control is performed by TI C2000-based controllers and the hardware connections to the system are done through dSPACE interface module. The system is designed such that it can easily be modified to change the location of the DGs and/or to change the number of DGs connected to the grid. Several case study results are presented and compared against simulations to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the system, model, and the employed power control schemes.
