Design and Synthesis of N-Alkylaniline-Substituted Low Band-Gap Electron Acceptors for Photovoltaic Application

A novel electron donating unit,namely N-octyl-N-phenyl-thiophene(OPT),was designed in preparing electron acceptors with non-fused ring chemical *** introducing different functional atoms/groups into the para-position of phenyl in the OPT units,three non-fused ring acceptors(NfREAs),C8-2f,fC8-2f and MeC8-2f,were *** absorption spectrum of the three acceptors can be extended to about 950 nm with band-gaps of 1.28—1.32 eV due to the strong electron donating ability of *** frontier molecular orbital distribution of OPT based molecules obtained by quantum chemistry calculation results reveals that their energy alignment can be finely tuned to meet different ***,by changing the substituents on the OPT units,their flory-Huggins interaction parameter(χ)with the donor will be greatly influenced and different phase separation behavior can be *** blended with PBDB-Tf,the fC8-2f-based cell yields short circuit current density(J_(sc))of 23.21 mA·cm^(-2),fill factor(ff)of 72.11%and the highest power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 12.42%.This work provides a new pathway for molecular design of new NfREAs,and demonstrates the application potential of OPT unit in realizing low band-gap photovoltaic materials.

The bastnaesite used in hydrometallurgy usually contains 7%-11% fluorine,and the conversion of fluorine into high-value products is the key to achieving green production of rare earths and improving the comprehensive utilization of *** order to recover fluorine from bastnaesite in the form of KBf4,the mechanism of f^(-)conversion to Bf^(4-)in sulphuric acid leaching solution of roasted bastnaesite was studied by using Eh-pH diagram and simulation *** shows that the formation of Bf^(4-)is affected by pH in the absence of rare ***^(4-)is hydrolyzed to Bf3 OH-and f-when the pH is greater than 3.9,and part of f-exists as Hf^(2-)when pH is lower than *** the presence of La^(3+),the formation of Bf^(4-)is mainly affected by Laf_(3) when pH is greater than 0,and in the case that the pH is lower than 2,it is mainly affected by Hf^(2-).When Ce4+is present in solution,Cef_(2)^(2+) can exist stably in sulphuric acid *** down the pH can reduce the stability of Cef_(2)^(2+) and increase the Bf^(4-)conversion *** on these results,KBf4 was prepared in the alkaline solution of bastnaesite,and the conversion of Bf^(4-)is 84.31%.This provides a theoretical basis for the recovery of fluorine from bastnaesite in the form of KBf_(4).

Background In poultry, the smooth transition of follicles from the preovulatory-to-postovulatory phase impacts egg production in hens and can benefit the poultry industry. However, the regulatory mechanism underlying follicular ovulation in avians is a complex biological process that remains *** Critical biochemical events involved in ovulation in domestic chickens(Gallus gallus) were evaluated by transcriptomics, proteomics, and in vitro assays. Comparative transcriptome analyses of the largest preovulatory follicle(f1) and postovulatory follicle(POf1) in continuous laying(CL) and intermittent laying(IL) chickens indicated the greatest difference between CL_f1 and IL_f1, with 950 differentially expressed genes(DEGs), and the smallest difference between CL_POf1 and IL_POf1, with 14 DEGs. Additionally, data-independent acquisition proteomics revealed 252 differentially abundant proteins between CL_f1 and IL_f1. Perivitelline membrane synthesis, steroid biosynthesis, lysosomes, and oxidative phosphorylation were identified as pivotal pathways contributing to ovulation regulation. In particular, the regulation of zona pellucida sperm-binding protein 3, plasminogen activator, cathepsin A, and lactate dehydrogenase A(LDHA) was shown to be essential for ovulation. furthermore, the inhibition of LDHA decreased cell viability and promoted apoptosis of ovarian follicles in *** This study reveals several important biochemical events involved in the process of ovulation, as well as crucial role of LDHA. These findings improve our understanding of ovulation and its regulatory mechanisms in avian species.

This study introduces a novel algorithm to detect and identify radioactive materials in urban settings using time-series detector response data. To address the challenges posed by varying backgrounds and to enhance the quality and reliability of the energy spectrum data, we devised a temporal energy window. This partitioned the time-series detector response data, resulting in energy spectra that emphasize the vital information pertaining to radioactive materials. We then extracted characteristic features of these energy spectra, relying on the formation mechanism and measurement principles of the gammaray instrument spectrum. These features encompassed aggregated counts, peak-to-flat ratios, and peak-to-peak ratios. This methodology not only simplified the interpretation of the energy spectra's physical significance but also eliminated the necessity for peak searching and individual peak analyses. Given the requirements of imbalanced multi-classification, we created a detection and identification model using a weighted k-nearest neighbors(KNN) framework. This model recognized that energy spectra of identical radioactive materials exhibit minimal inter-class similarity. Consequently, it considerably boosted the classification accuracy of minority classes, enhancing the classifier's overall efficacy. We also executed a series of comparative experiments. Established methods for radionuclide identification classification, such as standard KNN, support vector machine, Bayesian network, and random tree, were used for comparison purposes. Our proposed algorithm realized an f1 measure of 0.9868 on the time-series detector response data, reflecting a minimum enhancement of 0.3% in comparison with other techniques. The results conclusively show that our algorithm outperforms others when applied to time-series detector response data in urban contexts.

Variations in traffic-related polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in PM2.5 in Kanazawa, Japan, after the implementation of a new vehicle emission regulation

A three-year sampling campaign was conducted at a roadside air pollution monitoring station in the urban area of Kanazawa, Japan. Due to a new emission regulation, PAHs levels decreased over the sampling campaign, exhibiting values of 706 ± 413 pg/m^(3) in 2017, 559 ±384 pg/m^(3) in 2018, and 473 ± 234 pg/m^(3) in 2019. In each year, similar seasonal variations in PAHs levels were observed, with higher levels observed in winter and lower levels in summer. Among the PAHs isomer ratios, we observed that the ratio of benzo[b]fluoranthene(Bbf) and benzo[k]fluoranthene(Bkf), [Bb f]/([Bbf] + [Bkf]), and the ratio of indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene(IDP) and benzo[ghi]perylene(BgPe), [IDP]/([BgPe] + [IDP]), showed stability over the sampling campaign and were less affected by the new emission regulation, seasonal variations, and regional characteristics. When using the combined ratio ranges of 0.66-0.80([Bb f]/[Bbf] + [Bkf]) and 0.26-0.49([IDP]/[Bg Pe] + [IDP]), traffic emissions were clearly distinguished from other PAHs emission sources. Principal component analysis(PCA) and positive matrix factorization(PMf) were also performed to further analyse the characteristics of traffic-related PAHs. Overall, this study affirmed the effectiveness of the new emission regulation in the reduction of PAHs emissions and provided a combined range for identifying PAHs traffic emission sources.

The increase in the amount of manufacturing information available means that big data can be collected and, with appropriate deep analysis, could be of great value to manufacturers. However, most small manufacturers cannot afford the overhead of a professional data analytics team. To address this problem, in this paper a generic data analytics system, Generic Manufacturing Data Analytics system(GMDA), is proposed. This system can perform most manufacturing data analytics tasks and users can easily carry out data analysis even if they have no prior knowledge or experience of data analytics. To establish such a system, we designed an abstract language,GMDL, to describe the manufacturing data analytics tasks. Aimed at factory data analytics, several algorithms were selected, tuned, optimized, and finally integrated into the system. Some noteworthy techniques were developed in GMDA such as proper algorithm selection strategy and an optimal parameter determination algorithm. Case studies show the practicability and reliability of the system.

This paper investigates the stability of the francis hydro-turbine governing system with complex penstocks in the grid-connected mode. firstly, a novel fractional-order nonlinear mathematical model of a francis hydro-turbine governing system with complex penstocks is built from an engineering application perspective. This model is described by state-space equations and is composed of the francis hydro-turbine model, the fractional-order complex penstocks model, the third-order generator model, and the hydraulic speed governing system model. Based on stability theory for a fractional-order nonlinear system, this study discovers a basic law of the bifurcation points of the above system with a change in the fractional-order a. Secondly, the stable region of the governing system is investigated in detail,and nonlinear dynamical behaviors of the system are identified and studied exhaustively via bifurcation diagrams, time waveforms, phase orbits, Poincare maps, power spectrums and spectrograms. Results of these numerical experiments provide a theoretical reference for further studies of the stability of hydropower stations.
