The turbulent fluxes, such as sensible and latent heat fluxes and CO2 flux, are globally observed over various terrestrial areas in order to understand the interaction between biosphere and atmosphere. Although the turbulent flux observations are generally performed on a horizontally homogeneous surface, the spatial distribution of the soil moisture is not homogeneous even on cultivated land with homogeneous vegetation, indicating that the development of each plant would be different and that the plant physiology, such as photosynthesis and growth, would be heterogeneous. In this study, to clarify the impact of a heterogeneous surface on spatiotemporal uncertainty of turbulent fluxes, a simultaneous flux observation experiment was conducted at different heights (20 m and 30 m) above the ground surface in a secondary seasonal tropical forest located in the Tak Province, Thailand. We defined ε as the spatial uncertainty of the turbulent flow flux, as proposed by Kim et al. (2011b) [1], and observed that ε of CO2 flux was high, whereas ε of sensible and latent heat fluxes were low. This is likely to be caused by spatial uncertainty such as a heterogeneous surface. The CO2 environment was heterogeneous;however, sensible and latent heat environments were homogeneous because the source area received insolation uniformly. Therefore, the analytical results for the CO2 flux presented a different pattern from those exhibited by the analytical results of the latent and sensible heat fluxes.

Adipose tissue is a major metabolic organ, and it has been traditionally classified as either white adipose tissue(WAT) or brown adipose tissue(BAT). WAT and BAT are characterized by different anatomical locations, morphological structures, functions, and regulations. WAT and BAT are both involved in energy balance. WAT is mainly involved in the storage and mobilization of energy in the form of triglycerides, whereas BAT specializes in dissipating energy as heat during cold- or diet-induced thermogenesis. Recently, brownlike adipocytes were discovered in WAT. These brownlike adipocytes that appear in WAT are called beige or brite adipocytes. Interestingly, these beige/brite cells resemble white fat cells in the basal state, but they respond to thermogenic stimuli with increased levels of thermogenic genes and increased respiration rates. In addition, beige/brite cells have a gene expressionpattern distinct from that of either white or brown fat cells. The current epidemic of obesity has increased the interest in studying adipocyte formation(adipogenesis), especially in beige/brite cells. This review summarizes the developmental process of adipose tissues that originate from the mesenchymal stem cells and the features of these three different types of adipocytes.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic, widespread musculoskeletal pain and polyalgic syndrome, evolving for more than three months. Research on its consequences on fertility is therefore relevant to explore. The aim of this study is to highlight the relationship between fibromyalgia and some women’s diseases that induced infertility. The results showed that fibromyalgia is more common in 92.9% of patients wishing to procreate and 64.8% of patients with gynecological disorders. 70.7% of patients with menstrual disorder have fibromyalgia and 76.5% of fibromyalgia patients have myomas. Among ovarian pathologies, 76.5% of women with ovarian dystrophy have fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is also very prevalent in women with miscarriage (55.9%) and stillbirth history (90.1%). For all studied situations, a highly significant difference was observed (p < 0.000). All these data suggest that fibromyalgia is related to different situations that can induce infertility in women.

Objective:To evaluate the prevalence of toxoplasmosis and rubella among pregnant women at Ouagadougou in Burkina ***:All patient sera were tested for rubella and toxoplasmosis anti-IgG using commercial ELIsa kits(PlateliaTMRubella IgG and Platelia? Toxo IgG).The presence of anti-rubella and anti-toxoplasmosis tgM in serum samples was tested using commercial ELIsa kits Platelia Rubella TgM and Platelia Toxo ***:Among all the pregnant women tested for toxoplasmosis and rubella,their prevalence were 20.3% and 77.0%,*** women in the age group of 18-25 years showed the highest frequency of anti-toxoplasmosis（34.5%） and anti-rubella IgG（84.6%）.The prevalence of anti-toxoplasma and anti-rubella IgG decreased between 2006 and 2008 from 32.7%to 12.1%and 84.6% to 65.0%,*** was no significant association between age and the mean titer of anti-toxoplasmosis IgG among pregnant ***:The diagnosis of toxoplasmosis and rubella is necessary in pregnant women in Burkina faso because of the low immunization coverage rate of rubella and the high level of exposure to these two infections which can be harmful to the newborn if contracted by women before the third trimester of pregnancy.

About an Observation of a Child Penetrating Brain Injury by Knife

Background: Reported cases of knife injuries to the head in children are rare. Here we describe a case of pediatric penetrating brain injury by knife (PPBIK) and review literature. The patient’s parents were informed that non-identifying information from the case would be submitted for publication, and they provided consent. Case Presentation: A 3-year-old boy presented to our emergency department with a knife penetrating the front of his head during play. Neurologic examination was normal. Radiograph in lateral view demonstrated a metallic knife entering frontal bone. Computed tomography (CT) scan showed small hemorrhage around the foreign body recognized, accompanied by small pneumocephalus. The knife was surgically removed and the dura was closed. He was discharged home after the surgery with normal neurological status. Conclusion: Only four cases of PPBIK have been reported in the literature. The adequate management of these types of injuries requires a correct neuroradiological evaluationfamily:Verdana;">.

Objective:To investigate the antiproliferative activity of salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge.(SM)on the castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)cell line DU-145 in vitro and in ***:Prostate cancer cell line(DU-145)and normal prostate cell line(RWPE-1)were treated with SM at different concentrations(3.125,12.5,25 and 50μg/mL)to investigate the antiproliferative *** laddering analysis was performed to investigate the apoptosis of DU-145 *** mechanism was investigated by Western blot analysis of p53,Bcl-2,prostate specific antigen(Psa),and androgen receptor(AR).Six-week-old male BALB/c nude mice were randomly divided into normal control group(n=101)and treated group(n=101)which administered 500 mg/kg SM for 2 *** volumes were ***:Treatment with SM resulted in a dose-dependent decrease in cell number of DU-145 cells in comparison with *** laddering analysis indicated the apoptosis of DU-145 *** with SM increased the expression of p53 and reduced the expression of Bcl-2 *** levels of Psa were considerably reduced in SM-treated group compared to the controls,and a decrease in AR expression was observed when cells were treated with SM in the same pattern as a reduction in *** the tumour xenograft study,SM given once a day for 2 weeks significantly inhibited tumour ***:SM might contribute to the anticancer actions such as induction of apoptosis and inhibition of proliferation of prostate cancer cells.

Experimental Investigation of Fuel Quality and Contaminant Materials from Liquefied Petroleum Fuel

In this study, the quality characteristics and residue analysis in circulated LPG fuel were investigated experimentally in Korea. Quality characteristics in circulated LPG fuel were examined with samples of LPG in the supply chain (refinery, petrochemical, and imported LPG), transport, gas stations, and vehicles. The experimental results showed that quality of all circulated LPG was well within the quality standard guideline of LPG in Korea. Especially, it has shown average 13 wt ppm in sulfur content over the full circulated LPG. The residue samples in LPG fuel were extracted on 2 L scale with acetonitrile and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The components of residues in LPG were composed of 62 organic chemicals with C3 ~ C28 and the main ingredients of residue were plasticizers ((di-octyl phalate (DOP), di-octyl adiphate (DOA) etc.), lubricant oil and amine compounds. It was also showed that mass of residue in vehicles was increasing compared with supply (refinery, petrochemical, and imported LPG). It was presumed that this residue had been originated from automotive LPG fuel, vehicle components, and lubricant oil in infrastructure.
