Viral hepatitis represents a major danger to public health,and is a globally leading cause of *** five liver-specific viruses:Hepatitis A virus,hepatitis B virus,hepatitis C virus,hepatitis D virus,and hepatitis E virus,each have their own unique epidemiology,structural biology,transmission,endemic patterns,risk of liver complications,and response to antiviral *** remain few options for treatment,in spite of the increasing prevalence of viral-hepatitiscaused liver ***,chronic viral hepatitis is a leading worldwide cause of both liver-related morbidity and mortality,even though effective treatments are available that could reduce or prevent most patients’*** 2016,the World Health Organization released its plan to eliminate viral hepatitis as a public health threat by the year 2030,along with a discussion of current gaps and prospects for both regional and global eradication of viral ***,treatment is sufficiently able to prevent the disease from reaching advanced ***,future therapies must be extremely safe,and should ideally limit the period of treatment necessary.A better understanding of pathogenesis will prove beneficial in the development of potential treatment strategies targeting infections by viral *** review aims to summarize the current state of knowledge on each type of viral hepatitis,together with major innovations.

Surface Characteristics and Indentation Deformation of Porous Anodic TiO_2 Layer Before and After Hot Water Treatment

Hot water treatment was performed to modify the surface of porous TiO2 layer prepared by anodic spark oxidation technique for better *** oxide layer without water treatment exhibited a porous surface with few nanometer features and consisted of poorly crystallized *** water treatment,the poorly crystallized oxides were transformed into crystalline anatase gradually and numerous nanoparticles formed on the oxide surface,leading to increased surface roughness at the *** indentation deformation behaviors of oxide layer before and after water treatment were investigated and *** show that under the indentation load,the untreated anodic TiO2 layer exhibited good adhesion to the *** contrast,after water treatment,apparent oxides pile-up and spallation were observed around the indentation,indicating decreased adhesion strength.

Efficient Task Decomposition for Sequential Crowdsourced Task Solving

In order to facilitate crowdsourcing-based task solving, complex tasks are decomposed into smaller subtasks that can be executed by individual *** task into sequential subtasks attracts a plenty of empirical explorations. The absence of formal studies makes it difficult to provide task requesters with explicit guidelines on task decomposition *** formally present the vertical task decomposition model by specifying the positive quality dependencies among sequential subtasks. Our focus is on addressing solutions of low quality intentionally provided by selfinterested workers who are paid equally or based on their contributions. By combining the theoretical analysis on workers’ strategic behaviors and experimental exploration on the efficiency of task decomposition, our study demonstrates the relationship between the incentive and the worker’s performance, and gives the explicit instructions on vertical task decomposition, which show promise on improving the quality of the final outcome.

MDP-Based Budget Allocation for Efficient Cooperative Task Solving

In order to facilitate crowdsourcing-based task solving,complex tasks are decomposed into interdependent subtasks that can be executed cooperatively by individual *** to maximize the quality of the final solution subject to the self-interested worker’s utility maximization,a key challenge is to allocate the limited budget among the subtasks as the rewards for workers having various levels of *** study is the first attempt to show the value of Markov decision processes(MDPs)for the problem of optimizing the quality of the final solution by dynamically determining the budget allocation on sequentially dependent subtasks under the budget constraints and the uncertainty of the workers’ *** simulation-based approach verifies that compared to some offline methods where workers’ abilities are fully known,our proposed MDP-based payment planning is more efficient at optimizing the final quality under the same limited budget.

Anterolateral rotatory instability in vivo correlates tunnel position after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using bone-patellar tendon-bone graft

AIM To quantitatively assess rotatory and anterior-posterior instability in vivo after anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) reconstruction using bone-patellar tendon-bone(BTB) autografts, and to clarify the influence of tunnel positions on the knee *** Single-bundle ACL reconstruction with BTB autograft was performed on 50 patients with a mean age of 28 years using the trans-tibial(TT)(n = 20) and trans-portal(TP)(n = 30) techniques. Femoral and tibial tunnel positions were identified from the high-resolution 3 D-CT bone models two weeks after surgery. Anterolateral rotatory translation was examined using a Slocum anterolateral rotatory instability test in open magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) 1.0-1.5 years after surgery, by measuring anterior tibial translation at the medial and lateral compartments on its sagittal images. Anterior-posterior stability was evaluated with a Kneelax3 *** A total of 40 patients(80%) were finally followed up. Femoral tunnel positions were shallower(P < 0.01) and higher(P < 0.001), and tibial tunnel positions were more posterior(P < 0.05) in the TT group compared with the TP group. Anterolateral rotatory translations in reconstructed knees were significantly correlated with the shallow femoral tunnel positions(R = 0.42, P < 0.01), and the rotatory translations were greater in the TT group(3.2 ± 1.6 mm) than in the TP group(2.0 ± 1.8 mm)(P < 0.05). Side-to-side differences of Kneelax3 arthrometer were 1.5 ± 1.3 mm in the TT, and 1.7 ± 1.6 mm in the TP group(N.S.). Lysholm scores, KOOS subscales and reinjury rate showed no difference between the two *** Anterolateral rotatory instability significantly correlated shallow femoral tunnel positions after ACL reconstruction using BTB autografts. Role of sirtuins in esophageal cancer:Current status and future prospects

Esophageal cancer(EC)is a malignant cancer that still has a poor prognosis,although its prognosis has been improving with the development of multidisciplinary treatment modalities such as surgery,chemotherapy and ***,identifying specific molecular markers that can be served as biomarkers for the prognosis and treatment response of EC is highly desirable to aid in the personalization and improvement of the precision of medical *** are a family of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)-dependent proteins consisting of seven members(SIRT1-7).These proteins have been reported to be involved in the regulation of a variety of biological functions including apoptosis,metabolism,stress response,senescence,differentiation and cell cycle *** the variety of functions of sirtuins,they are speculated to be associated in some manner with cancer ***,while the role of sirtuins in cancer progression has been investigated over the past few years,their precise role remains difficult to characterize,as they have both cancer-promoting and cancer-suppressing properties,depending on the type of *** conflicting characteristics make research into the nature of sirtuins all the more ***,the role of sirtuins in EC remains unclear due to the limited number of reports concerning sirtuins in *** herein review the current findings and future prospects of sirtuins in EC.

Clinically diagnosed late-onset fulminant Wilson's disease without cirrhosis: A case report

A 64-year-old woman was referred to our hospital with jaundice of the bulbar conjunctiva and general fatigue. After admission, she developed hepatic encephalopathy and was diagnosed with fulminant hepatitis based on the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease(AASLD) position paper. Afterwards, additional laboratory findings revealed that serum ceruloplasmin levels were reduced, urinary copper levels were greatly elevated and Wilson's disease(WD)-specific routine tests were positive, but the Kayser-Fleischer ring was not clear. Based on the AASLD practice guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of WD, the patient was ultimately diagnosed with fulminant WD. Then, administration of penicillamine and zinc acetate was initiated; however, the patient unfortunately died from acute pneumonia on the 28 th day of hospitalization. At autopsy, the liver did not show a bridging pattern of fibrosis suggestive of chronic liver injury. Here, we present the case of a patient with clinically diagnosed late-onset fulminant WD without cirrhosis, who had positive disease-specific routine tests.
