The simultaneous advances in the Internet of Things(IoT),Artificial intelligence(AI)and Robotics is going to revolutionize our world in the near *** recent years,LoRa(Long Range)wireless powered by LoRaWAN(LoRa Wide Area Network)protocol has attracted the attention of researchers for numerous applications in the IoT *** is a low power,unlicensed Industrial,Scientific,and Medical(ISM)bandequipped wireless technology that utilizes a wide area network protocol,i.e.,LoRaWAN,to incorporate itself into the network *** this paper,we have evaluated the LoRaWAN communication protocol for the implementation of the IoT(Internet of Things)nodes’communication in a forest *** outdoor performance of LoRa wireless in LoRaWAN,i.e.,the physical layer,has been evaluated in the forest area of Kashirampur Uttarakhand,***,the present paper aims towards analyzing the performance level of the LoRaWAN technology by observing the changes in Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR),Packet Reception Ratio(PRR)and Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI),with respect to the distance between IoT *** article focuses on estimating network lifetime for a specific set of LoRa configuration parameters,hardware selection and power *** the experimental results,it has been observed that transmissions can propagate to a distance of 300 m in the forest environment,while consuming approx.63%less energy for spreading factor 7 at 2 dBm,without incurring significant packet loss with PRR greater than 80%.

Navigation is an essential skill for *** becomes a cumbersome task for the robot in a human-populated environment,and Industry 5.0 is an emerging trend that focuses on the interaction between humans and *** behavior in a social setting is the key to human acceptance while ensuring human comfort and *** the advancement in robotics technology,the true use cases of robots in the tourism and hospitality industry are expanding in *** are very few experimental studies focusing on how people perceive the navigation behavior of a delivery robot.A robotic platform named“PI”has been designed,which incorporates proximity and vision *** robot utilizes a real-time object recognition algorithm based on the You Only Look Once(YOLO)algorithm to detect objects and humans during *** study is aimed towards evaluating human experience,for which we conducted a study among 36 participants to explore the perceived social presence,role,and perception of a delivery robot exhibiting different behavior conditions while navigating in a hotel *** participants’responses were collected and compared for different behavior conditions demonstrated by the robot and results show that humans prefer an assistant role of a robot enabled with audio and visual aids exhibiting social ***,this study can be useful for developers to gain insight into the expected behavior of a delivery robot.

The effects of inorganic and organic tin compounds and various factors affecting the toxicity of the latter to Escherichia coli were *** comparison to stannous chloride,tributyltin chloride(TBTC)was more inhibitory to the growth of the test organism;this may be due to its greater liposolubility and ready absorption through the bacterial *** toxicity of TBTC to *** was modulated by various factors,such as pH,sulfate and chloride ions,and the presence of glucose,succinate,and reducing agents like cysteine and dithiothreitol(DTT). TBTC was more toxic to cells in minimal than in complex ***,this compound was more inhibitory to the growth of *** at acid pH than at basic *** in contrast to glucose,when used as a carbon source,made the bacterium more sensitive to *** and DTT(both at a final concentration of 0.5 mM)partially protected the cells against the inhibitory effect of this agent.1989 Academic Press,Inc.

This study evaluated impacts of Coriaria nepalensis *** on soil characteristics,vegetation structure and composition,regeneration status and expected future compositional changes,biomass and carbon stock in tree species of a mixed conifer forest of Central *** sites(1 ha each in an old landslide area)differing in Coriaria density(low:20 individuals ha^(-1);medium:120 ***^(-1);high:190 ***^(-1))were used to enumerate the tree species.A total of 9 tree species and 2830 individuals were recorded from the three study sites that represented a gradient of Coriaria *** of species varied from 3 to 7 and the individuals from 690 to 1270 per site with lowest numbers at low Coriaria density and highest at medium Coriaria *** number of seedlings increased with increasing Coriaria density,and the sites were unique in their seedling composition,indicating marked temporal *** wise regeneration analysis showed that regeneration was poor at the site with low Coriaria density and good at the high-density site where many species emerged as *** results indicate that the ameliorative effects of Coriaria in terms of soil buildup,and accumulation of nutrients and organic matter helped more species to colonize the *** facilitative ability of Coriaria can be used to restore degraded forest ecosystems of Indian Central Himalaya.

One of the important aspects of seamless communication for ubiquitous computing is the dynamic selection of the best access network for a multimodal device in a heterogeneous wireless environment. In this paper, we consider available bandwidth as a dynamic parameter to select the network in heterogeneous environments. A bootstrap approximation based technique is firstly utilized to estimate the available bandwidth and compare it with hidden Markov model based estimation to check its accuracy. It is then used for the selection of the best suitable network in the heterogeneous environment consisting of 2G and 3G standards based wireless networks. The proposed algorithm is implemented in temporal and spatial domains to check its robustness. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm gives improved performance in terms of estimation error （less than 15%）, overhead （varies from 0.45% to 72.91%） and reliability （approx. 99%）as compared to the existing algorithm.

After a prolonged debate and discussion,the World Health Organization(WHO)relisted'snakebite'under Category'A'of'Neglected Tropical Diseases'(NTDs)in June 2017 hoping to diminish its burden on ***,in March 2009,WHO added snakebite to its official list of NTDs but later downgraded to'Other Neglected Conditions',a list reduced in importance[1,2].Obviously,the recent inclusion of snakebite in NTDs was due to the estimation of huge toll of deaths due to snake envenomation in tropical countries as supported by the multiple *** inclusion will expedite the process of developing better management protocols and infusing funds for such affected countries.

The consumption of contaminated river water can have severe effects on human *** study aims to investigate the trace elements(TEs)content and their health risk assessment in the Badigad River Basin in the lesser Himalayas of *** total,44 water samples were collected from 22 different sites during the pre-monsoon and monsoon seasons,and 25 TEs were *** matrix and principal component analysis(PCA)were used to analyze the potential relationship between the measured TEs and their source ***,the water quality index(WQI),metal index(MI),and cancer index(CI)were *** TEs content in all samples were found to be within the WHO recommended guideline for drinking and domestic *** dominancy order of the TEs was observed as Sr>Ba>Li>Rb>Zn>Cr>Sc>Mn>Ti>Cu>As>Ni>Co>U>V>Pb>Cs>Ga>Y>Tl>Th>Zr>Bi>Cd>*** PCA analysis suggested that TEs could have natural,anthropogenic,and mixed *** WQI indicated that the river water is safe from a human health *** MI suggested that Badigad River can be considered safer for drinking purposes,and the cancer index(CI)showed that all the reported TEs are at low-risk *** findings of this study could be useful for government agencies in developing more sustainable water management policies in the ***,it is suggested that further investigations should be conducted in terms of other hydrogeochemical variables,including major ions,at spatiotemporal levels for the sustainability of the river basin.

DFT and TD-DFT calculations of HOMO and LUMO energies and photovoltaic properties are carried out on four selected pentathiophene donor and one IDIC-4F acceptor molecules using B3LYP and PBE0 functionals for the ground state energy calculations and CAM-B3LYP functional for the excited state *** discrepancy between the calculated and experimental energies is reduced by correlating them with a linear *** fitted energies of HOMO and LUMO are used to calculate the Voc of an OSC based on these donors and acceptor blend and compared with experimental *** the Scharber model the calculated PCE of the donor-acceptor molecules agree with the *** has been found that fluorine substitution can be used to improve charge transport by reducing the electron and hole reorganization energies of the *** is also found that the introduction of fluorine onto the donor pentathiophene unit of the donor molecule results in a change of polarity of the distributed charges in the molecule due to the high electronegativity of the fluorine *** quantum chemical potential(μ),chemical hardness(η)and electronegativity(χ),and electrostatic potential maps(EPMs)are also calculated to identify different charge distribution regions in all five molecules.

The present paper is concerned with the propagation of plane waves in an isotropic two-temperature generalized thermoelastic solid half-space in context of Green and Naghdi theory of type II (without energy dissipation). The governing equations in x – z plane are solved to show the existence of three coupled plane waves. The reflection of plane waves from a thermally insulated free surface is considered to obtain the relations between the reflection coefficients. A particular example of the half-space is chosen for numerical computations of the speeds and reflection coefficients of plane waves. Effects of two-temperature and rotation parameters on the speeds and the reflection coefficients of plane waves are shown graphically.
