Hybrid organolead halide perovskites have attracted tremendous attention due to their recent success as high efficiency solar cell materials and their fascinating material properties uniquely suitable for optoelectronic devices. However, the poor ambient and operational stability as well as the concern of lead toxicity greatly hamper their practical utilization. In this work, crystalline, all-inorganic and lead-free Cs_(3)Sb_(2)I_(9) perovskite microplates are successfully synthesized by a two-step chemical vapor deposition method. As compared with other typical lead-free perovskite materials, the Cs_(3)Sb_(2)I_(9) microplates demonstrate excellent optoelectronic properties, including substantial enhancements in the Stokes shift, exciton binding energy and electron-phonon coupling. Simple photoconductive devices fabricated using these microplates exhibit an ultra-fast response with the rise and decay time constants down to 96 and 58 µs, respectively. This respectable photoconductor performance can be regarded as a record among all the lead-free perovskite materials. Importantly, these photodetectors show superior thermal stability in a wide temperature range, capable to function reversibly between 80 and 380 K, indicating their robustness to operate under both low and high temperatures. All these results evidently suggest the technological potential of inorganic lead-free Cs_(3)Sb_(2)I_(9) perovskite microplates for next-generation high-performance optoelectronic devices.

Designing highly efficient and low-cost electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction is important for many renewable energy *** particular,strain engineering has been demonstrated as a powerful strategy to enhance the electrochemical performance of catalysts;however,the required complex catalyst preparation process restricts the implementation of strain ***,we report a simple self-template method to prepare hierarchical porous Co_(3)o_(4)nanowires(PNWs)with tunable compressive strain via thermal-oxidation-transformation of easily prepared oxalic acid-cobalt nitrate(Co(No_(3))_(2))composite *** on the complementary theoretical and experimental studies,the selection of proper solvents in the catalyst preparation is not only vital for the hierarchical structural evolution of Co_(3)o_(4) but also for regulating their compressive surface *** of the rich surface active sites and optimized electronic Co d band centers,the PNWs exhibit the excellent activity and stability for oxygen evolution reaction,delivering a low overpotential of 319 mV at 10 mA·cm^(−2)in 1 M KoH with a mass loading 0.553 mg·cm^(−2),which is even better than the noble metal catalyst of Ruo_(2).This work provides a cost-effective example of porous Co_(3)o_(4)nanowire preparation as well as a promising method for modification of surface strain for the enhanced electrochemical performance.

An efficient solution-processable route employing Pb(Ac)2 as lead source and anti-solvent treatment to achieve fully covered and homogenous perovskite films is reported. The effect of different solution methods and device architectures on the morphologies of perovskite films were systematically investigated. our results show that the planar perovskite layer fabricated by one-step solution method achieved fully covered and pinhole-free films. Further anti-solvent treatment using chlorobenzene (CB) promoted a perovskite film with highly smooth surfaces and enlarged grain sizes. Device fabricated from CB treated perovskite film achieved a best PCE of 15.80%, in comparison with 14.02%for the untreated device. These results evidently suggest a feasible route towards controlling the crystallization and morphology of planar heterojunction (PHJ) PSCs for improved efficiency.

Financial sector development and Investment in selected countries of the Economic Community of West African States: empirical evidence using heterogeneous panel data method

This study investigated the impact of financial sector development on domestic investment in selected countries of the Economic Community of West African States(ECoWAS)for the years 1985–*** study employed the augmented mean group procedure,which accounts for country-specific heterogeneity and crosssectional dependence,and the Granger non-causality test to test for causality in the presence of cross-sectional *** results show that(1)The impact of financial sector development on domestic investment depends on the measure of financial sector development utilised;(2)Domestic credit to the private sector has a positive but insignificant impact on domestic investment in ECoWAS,whereas banking intermediation efficiency(i.e.,ability of the banks to transform deposits into credit)and broad money supply negatively and significant influence domestic investment;(3)Cross-country differences exist in the impact of financial sector development on domestic investment in the selected ECoWAS countries;and(4)Domestic credit to the private sector Granger causes domestic investment in *** study recommends careful consideration in the measure of financial development that is utilised as a policy instrument to foster domestic *** also highlight the importance of employing country-specific domestic investment policies to avoid blanket policy *** credit to the private sector should be given priority when forecasting domestic investment into the future.

Mineralization of pegmatites in parts of the oban Massif,Southeastern Nigeria:A preliminary analysis

The oban Basement Massif of southeastern Nigeria is composed of metamorphosed rocks including phyllites, schists, gneisses and amphibolites cut by pegmatitic dykes of varying length and thickness, which intruded the metamorphic rocks. Preliminary geochemical study and analysis of these pegmatites from western oban Massif at Uyanga, Akwa Ibami, Iwuru I, Iwuru Ⅱ and Igbofia showed that the pegmatites are highly albitized. This is incon-sistent with earlier postulations that the pegmatites in this part of Nigeria are barren. Indices of fractionation such as Ba/Rb, K/Rb, Na/K, K/Cs, K/Ba reveal that the pegmatites are mineralized and different discrimination plots show that they are enriched in Li, Be, Sn, Ba, Ta, Ni, Cs, Sn and Zn. Rare metal indicative elements such as Ta, Nb, Rb, Cs, and Sn are enriched in the pegmatites, confirming that the pegmatites are mineralized.

Facilities and Misconceptions Concerning Menstrual Health and Menstrual Hygiene Management among Young People in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria

Background: Globally, women constitute 49.6% of the world population and at least 500 million women and girls lack adequate facilities for menstrual hygiene management. In Nigeria, a quarter of women lack adequate privacy for defecation and menstrual hygiene management. Absence of facilities needed for menstrual hygiene can pose as obstacle to women and girls practicing menstrual hygiene effectively. This study aims to identify the facilities and misconceptions concerning menstrual health and menstrual hygiene management. Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study among 169 young males and females of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Theological Seminary, Jos North, Plateau State. This study sought to identify the facilities and misconceptions concerning menstrual health and menstrual hygiene management among young people in Jos, Plateau State. Nigeria. Simple random sampling technique was used in this study and data was collected using interviewer-administered structured questionnaire to measure availability of facilities/programs for menstrual hygiene management and misconceptions about menstruation. Data analysis was done using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0 with descriptive statistics, proportions, tables and diagrams used to illustrate findings from the data collected. Results: Majority 139 (82.2%) of the female respondents had access to adequate water supply, while 30 (17.8%) did not have access to the adequate water supply. About half, 53.8% had bathrooms with doors and safe locks, 19.5% had a school clinic where menstrual absorbents can be gotten, 10 (5.9%) had Girl’s Club/Peer Education teams, 24 (14.2%) had guidance and counselling classes. Programmes available to female respondents for menstrual health and hygiene management were girls club and guidance and counselling sessions. Background: The periodic shedding of the lining of a woman’s uterus is referred to as Menstruation, or a menstrual period. over a period of three to five days, the uterine lining breaks down into a bloody substance. It then passes down through the cervix and exits through the vagina. Menstrual health knowledge is regarded as having knowledge of what menstruation is and the need for effective management of health during menstruation and proper menstrual hygiene management. This study seeks to assess the knowledge and practice of menstrual health and hygiene and availability of resources for effective menstrual hygiene management among young people in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study carried out among 169 young males and females of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Theological Seminary, Jos, North, Plateau State, Nigeria. Simple random sampling technique was used in this study and data was collected using an interviewer-administered structured questionnaire. Data analysis was done using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0. Findings: Majority of 70 (41.4%) respondents fall within the age range of 20 - 24 years old, 64 (37.9%) were within 25 - 29 years. There were more females (96, 56.8%) than males (73, 43.2%). Twenty (11.8%) were married, 149 (88.2%) were single. More than three quarters (78.1%) had good knowledge of Menstrual Hygiene. of this, 64.4% are males and 88.5% are females. 18.3% of respondents had fair knowledge. of this, 30.1% are males and 9 (9.4%) are females. 6 (3.6%) of respondent’s had poor knowledge of menstrual hygiene (4 (5.5%) of males and 2 (92.1%)) of females). Two-thirds of the female respondents had good practice of menstrual hygiene, while a third of the respondents had the poor practice of menstrual hygiene.
