The superplastic behavior and associated deformation mechanisms of a fine-grained Mg-10.1 Li-0.8Al-0.6Zn alloy(LAZ1011)with a grain size of 3.2μm,primarily composed of the BCCβphase and a small amount of the hCPαphase,were examined in a temperature range of 473 K to 623 *** microstructural refinement of this alloy was achieved by employing high-ratio differential speed *** best superplasticity was achieved at 523 K and at strain rates of 10^(-4)-5×10^(-4)s^(-1),where tensile elongations of 550±600%were *** the heating and holding stage of the tensile samples prior to tensile loading,a significant increase in grain size was observed at temperatures above 573 ***,it was important to consider this effect when analyzing and understanding the superplastic deformation behavior and *** the investigated strain rate range,the superplastic flow at low strain rates was governed by lattice diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding,while at high strain rates,lattice diffusion-controlled dislocation climb creep was the rate-controlling deformation *** was concluded that solute drag creep is unlikely to *** the late stages of deformation at 523 K,it was observed that grain boundary sliding led to the agglomeration of theαphase,resulting in significant strain *** mechanism maps were constructed forβ-Mg-Li alloys in the form of 2D and 3D formats as a function of strain rate,stress,temperature,and grain size,using the constitutive equations for various deformation mechanisms derived based on the data of the current tests.

Objective: The objective of our study is to evaluate prognostic significance of DNA quantification by flow cytometry in ovarian tumor. Methods: A prospective analysis was performed on 56 ovarian tumor patients treated in the Yonsei Medical Center from Feb. 2000 to Jan. 2003. Results: Regarding the association between tumor grade and the DNA quantitative analysis, as tumor grade increased, the quantity of aneuploid cells and s.h.se fraction (sPF) increased. In addition, sPF was increased significantly in the advanced staged patients (P=0.04) and sPF was significantly increased in aneuploid tumors (P=0.03). The overall survival rate was poor for patients with aneuploid tumors and for patients with tumors showing over sPF (10% ). Conclusion: Our data demonstrated that the prognosis was poor for patients with aneuploid cancers or increased sPF. Therefore, DNA quantification by flow cytometry may provide important information for predicting the prognosis of the disease.

Objectives: The goals of this study were to assess the effect of the 2003 American Diabetes Association definition of impaired fasting glucose(IFG) on prevalence of IFG, coronary heart disease(ChD) risk factors, and ChD compared with the 1997 IFG definition. Background: Although IFG is viewed as increasing ChD risk, this association is unclear and has not been well studied after changing the IFG criterion, especially in a clinical practice setting. Methods: This was a cross-sectional evaluation of 8,295 members(3,763 men and 4,532 women) of a community medical center who were between the ages of 30 and 69 years, without a history of diabetes mellitus, and who had available measurements of fasting plasma glucose and lipid concentrations within the past 2 years. The prevalence of IFG, ChD risk factors, and ChD with the 1997 and 2003 IFG definition was compared. Results: The prevalence of IFG increased from 8%to 35%with the 2003 criterion. Individuals with glucose of 100 to 109 mg/dl had lower prevalence of most ChD risk factors.h.pertension, triglyceride ≥150 mg/dl, high-density lipoprotein cholesterols of the metabolic syndrome criteria, ChD risk ≥10%by Framingham score) compared with individuals with glucose 110 to 125 mg/dl. Individuals identified with the 2003 IFG definition did not have an increase in known ChD when adjusted for covariates(odds ratio 1.4[95%confidence interval(CI) 0.7 to 2.3] vs. 3.2[95%CI 1.8 to 5.9]). Conclusions: One-third of the population has IFG with the 2003 definition, yet many of these individuals do not have increased prevalence of ChD risk factors or ChD.

Optimizing Average Electric Power During the Charging of Lithium-Ion Batteries Through the Taguchi Method

In recent times, lithium-ion batteries.h.ve been widely used owing to their high energy density, extended cycle lifespan, and minimal self-dis.h.rge rate. The design of high-speed rechargeable lithium-ion batteries faces a significant challenge owing to the need to increase average electric power during charging. This challenge results from the direct influence of the power level on the rate of chemical reactions occurring in the battery electrodes. In this study, the Taguchi optimization method was used to enhance the average electric power during the charging process of lithium-ion batteries. The Taguchi technique is a statistical strategy that facilitates the systematic and efficient evaluation of numerous experimental variables. The proposed method involved varying seven input factors, including positive electrode thickness, positive electrode material, positive electrode active material volume fraction, negative electrode active material volume fraction, separator thickness, positive current collector thickness, and negative current collector thickness. Three levels were assigned to each control factor to identify the optimal conditions and maximize the average electric power during charging. Moreover, a variance assessment analysis was conducted to validate the results obtained from the Taguchi analysis. The results revealed that the Taguchi method was an eff ective approach for optimizing the average electric power during the charging of lithium-ion batteries. This indicates that the positive electrode material, followed by the separator thickness and the negative electrode active material volume fraction, was key factors significantly infl uencing the average electric power during the charging of lithium-ion batteries response. The identification of optimal conditions resulted in the improved performance of lithium-ion batteries, extending their potential in various applications. Doped two-dimensional(2D)materials.h.ld significant promise for advancing many technologies,such as microelectronics,optoelectronics,and energy ***,n-type 2D oxidized si nanosheets,namely n-type siloxene(n-sX),are employed as Li-ion battery *** thermal evaporation of sodium hypophos.h.te at 275℃,P atoms are effectively incorporated into siloxene(sX)without compromising its 2D layered morphology and unique Kautsky-type crystal ***,selective nucleophilic substitution occurs,with only si atoms being replaced by P atoms in the O_(3)≡si-h *** resulting n-sX possesses two delocalized electrons arising from the presence of two electron donor types:(i)P atoms residing in si sites and(ii)h *** doping concentrations are varied by controlling the amount of precursors or their mean free *** at 2000 mA g^(-1),the n-sX electrode with the optimized doping concentration(6.7×10^(19) atoms cm^(-3))delivers a capacity of 594 mAh g^(-1) with a 73%capacity retention after 500 *** improvements originate from the enhanced kinetics of charge transport processes,including electronic conduction,charge transfer,and solid-state *** approach proposed herein offers an unprecedented route for engineering sX anodes to boost Li-ion storage.

In industrial wireless networks,data transmitted from source to destination are highly *** often leads to the queuing of the data,and poor management of the queued data results in excessive delays,increased energy consumption,and packet ***,a nature-inspired-based Dragonfly Interaction Optimization Algorithm(DMOA)is proposed for optimization of the queue delay in industrial wireless *** term“interaction”herein used is the characterization of the“flying movement”of the dragonfly towards damselflies(female dragonflies)for *** a result,interaction is represented as the flow of transmitted data packets,or traffic,from the source to the base *** includes each and every feature of dragonfly movement as well as awareness of the rival dragonflies,predators,and damselflies for the desired optimization of the queue *** features are juxtaposed as noise and interference,which are further used in the calculation of industrial wireless metrics:latency,error rate(reliability),throughput,energy efficiency,and fairness for the optimization of the queue *** analysis,convergence analysis,the Wilcoxon test,the Friedman test,and the classical as well as the 2014 IEEE Congress of Evolutionary Computation(CEC)on the benchmark functions are also used for the evaluation of DMOA in terms of its robustness and *** results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed algorithm for both classical and benchmarking functions of the IEEE CEC ***,the accuracy and efficacy of DMOA were demonstrated by means of the convergence rate,Wilcoxon testing,and ***,fairness using Jain’s index in queue delay optimization in terms of throughput and latency,along with computational complexity,is also evaluated and compared with other *** results show that DMOA exceeds other bio-inspired optimization algorithms in terms of fairness in queue delay management and average packet *** proposed a

The use of electrochemical-metallization-based volatile threshold switching selectors in cross-point arrays.h.s been widely explored owing to their high on-off ratios and simple ***,these devices are unsuitable for cross-point architectures because of the difficulty in controlling the random filament formation that results in large fluctuations in the threshold voltage during *** this study,we investigated the unidirectional threshold transition characteristics associated with an Ag/GsT/hfO_(x)/Pt-based bilayer selector and demonstrated the occurrence of a low leakage current(stribution of the threshold voltage(Δ0.11 V).The bilayer structure could control the filament formation in the intermediate state through the insertion of an hfO_(x) tunneling *** stacking a bilayer selector with NiO_(x)based resistive random-access memory,the leakage and programming currents of the device could be significantly *** the crossbar array configuration,we performed equivalent circuit analysis of a one-selector oneresistor(1s1R) devices and estimated the optimal array size to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed *** maximum acceptable crossbar array size of the 1s1R device with the Ag/GsT/hfO_(x)/Pt/Ti/NiO_(x)/Pt structure was 5.29×10^(14)(N^(2),N=2.3×10^(7)).

This research aims to propose a practical framework designed for the automatic analysis of a product’s comprehensive functionality and security vulnerabilities,generating applicable guidelines based on real-world *** existing analysis of software security vulnerabilities often focuses on specific features or *** partial and arbitrary analysis of the security vulnerabilities makes it challenging to comprehend the overall security vulnerabilities of the *** key novelty lies in overcoming the constraints of partial *** proposed framework utilizes data from various sources to create a comprehensive functionality profile,facilitating the derivation of real-world security *** guidelines are dynamically generated by associating functional security vulnerabilities with the latest Common Vulnerabilities and Exposure(CVE)and Common Vulnerability scoring system(CVss)scores,resulting in automated guidelines tailored to each *** guidelines are not only practical but also applicable in real-world software,allowing for prioritized security *** proposed framework is applied to virtual private network(VPN)software,wherein a validated Level 2 data flow diagram is generated using the spoofing,Tampering,Repudiation,Information Disclosure,Denial of service,and Elevation of privilege(sTRIDE)technique with references to various papers and examples from related *** analysis resulted in the identification of a total of 121 *** successful implementation and validation demonstrate the framework’s efficacy in generating customized guidelines for entire systems,subsystems,and selected modules.
