Hydropower has made a significant contribution to the economic development of Vietnam,thus it is important to monitor the safety of hydropower dams for the good of the country and the *** this paper,dam horizontal displacement is analyzed and then forecasted using three methods:the multi-regression model,the seasonal integrated auto-regressive moving average(SARIMA)model and the back-propagation neural network(BPNN)merging *** monitoring data of the Hoa Binh Dam in Vietnam,including horizontal displacement,time,reservoir water level,and air temperature,are used for the *** results indicate that all of these three methods can approximately describe the trend of dam deformation despite their different forecast ***,their short-term forecasts can provide valuable references for the dam safety.

Objective： To determine the prevalence of the use of acupuncture treatment for acute low back pain （LBP） among acupuncture practitioners, and investigate acupuncture practitioners＇ perceptions on the effectiveness of this treatment modality and the costs associated with its use in Canada. Methods： A questionnaire designed to achieve our objectives was distributed to all 285 members in the Ontario chapter of the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada （AFC） in September of 1996. Only responses from physicians and physiotherapists were included in the analysis. Results： Of the 281 eligible physicians and physiotherapists, 197 completed the survey （response rate of 70.1%）. 45.0% of the respondents were physicians and 55.0% of them were physiotherapists. 87.0% of the respondents had used acupuncture for the treatment of acute LBP in the past, 66.0% of them were using it at the time of the survey and 87.0% said they would continue to use it in the future. 83.0% of the respondents perceived acupuncture to be effective for acute LBP and 60.0% of them believed that treating acute LBP with acupuncture will prevent the development of chronic LBE The average cost per treatment was $28 and the average time of treatments thought to be necessary to treat acute LBP was 5.7. Conclusions： The results showed that the majority of the respondents had a positive and favorable outlook towards using acupuncture for the treatment of acute LBP. They frequently used acupuncture for treating this condition in their practice and an overwhelming majority perceived acupuncture to be effective for treating acute LBP. In addition, over half of the respondents believed that acupuncture treatment would prevent the progression of acute LBE Although the acupuncture practitioners surveyed in this study perceived acupuncture to be an effective treatment for acute LBP, quantitative data from high quality research are needed to validate these perceptions.

Obesity has become a major health challenge for both patients and family ***-known methods of weight reduction such as diet and exercise are often difficult to comply with due to lifestyle and quality of life *** methods such as diet pills or surgery have potentially serious side effects and often do not show long-term *** an attempt to find a less invasive and effective modality of treatment,traditional Chinese medicine,particularly acupuncture and auriculotherapy,has become a topic of research in this *** authors conducted a review of the current evidence regarding the use of auricular and body acupuncture in the treatment of obesity from their beginning to June *** published trial using randomized assignment to the intervention and control groups,in full text were ***,moderate evidence in favor of acupuncture over exercise in the treatment of obesity was ***,due to the limitations of the published studies in this field,it is necessary to conduct a large high quality randomized controlled trial in order to determine whether acupuncture should be used as a treatment modality to achieve weight loss in obese individuals.

越南海防市近岸海洋水位变化特征分析

利用越南海防市沿海地区HONDAU验潮站52a的潮汐观测资料,采用基本统计方法和潮汐调和分析法研究该地区海洋水位变化特征。结果显示：该地区海平面、潮差均呈现上升趋势,年变化率分别是1.89mm/a、3.07mm/a;对采样间隔为1h的潮位连续观测数据作调和分析,得到调和常数的时间序列,分析显示各主要分潮的调和常数均为时变量,且与周期性（3～5a）El Nino和La Nina现象相关;余水位年上升率是1.76mm/a,平均增、减水位分别是12.48cm和-13.36cm。增、减水位持续时间小于24h的累积频率分别是95.5%和93.3%,增减水位持续时间大于48h的只占1%～2%。绝对余水位值小于50cm的占大多数,大约99%,增减水位绝对值大于100cm的只占0.1%左右。

越南水电站大坝变形分析研究

Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)are widely used for various practical applications due to their simplicity and *** quality of service in WSNs is greatly influenced by the coverage,which directly affects the monitoring capacity of the target ***,low WSN coverage and uneven distribution of nodes in random deployments pose significant *** study proposes an optimal node planning strategy for net-work coverage based on an adjusted single candidate optimizer(ASCO)to address these *** single candidate optimizer(SCO)is a metaheuristic algorithm with stable implementation ***,it has limitations in avoiding local optimum traps in complex node coverage optimization *** ASCO overcomes these limitations by incorporating reverse learning and multi-direction strategies,resulting in updated *** performance of the ASCO algorithm is compared with other algorithms in the literature for optimal WSN node *** results demonstrate that the ASCO algorithm offers efficient performance,rapid convergence,and expanded coverage ***,the ASCO achieves an archival coverage rate of 88%,while other approaches achieve coverage rates below or equal to 85%under the same conditions.

Evaluation of Weathering Performance of Rosin-Copper Based Treated Wood

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of natural weathering on some surface characteristics and mechanical properties of Styrax wood treated with mixtures of 1.0%,2.0%,or 4.0%rosin sizing agent and 3%copper *** samples after treatment were exposed to outdoor conditions for one year and changes in color,glossiness,weight loss,compression strength parallel to grain(CSPG),modulus of rupture(MOR),and modulus of elasticity(MOE)were investigated after 6 and 12-month of natural *** results showed that rosin-copper treatment could improve color stability and gloss of samples after *** losses of all rosin-copper treated samples after 12 months of exposure were negligible compared with the untreated control *** addition,rosin-copper treatment enhanced the CSPG compared to untreated controls,but slightly decreased the MOR and MOE of Styrax wood before *** weathering factors induced a reduction for all strength properties,however,the decrease rate for strength properties of rosin-copper treated samples was negligible compared with the untreated control samples after 12-month natural weathering *** FTIR and SEM-EDX confirmed that the use of the rosin-copper formulations to impregnate wood could decrease the hazard of the copper preservative leaching into the environment,while also enhancing more resistance against weathering factors and other biotic factors.
